@Foxy:
I doubt it. A lot of people have pointed out that Doflamingo most likely has the Simo-Simo no Mi (String-String Fruit), which is also a pun in Japanese meaning "pimp",which goes well with Doflamingo.
It'd be himo-himo. Shimo is frost.

@butman:
Just figured out a crazy theory about where will end the Mera Mera no mi.
First recapitulate the obvious choices and that i think that will not happen:
- Luffy eats
- Usopp eats
- Sanji eats
- Shusui (Zoro Sword) ¿eats?
- One of the Cards (Dofla subordinates) eats
-What i think that will happen with the fruit is that Luffy in the final moment of battle will give it to Dofla by force provoking his doom, and of course make us see, how looks the reaction when an already fruit user eats another fruit. (I imagine the climax of the fight so epic as Luffy vs Croco was)
I see:
–Luffy keeping the Mera Mera no Mi stashed away somewhere safe on the Thousand Sunny.
--A GREAT amount of time will pass (like Luffy will become the Pirate King, and defeat Fleet Admiral Akainu time pass).
--During the final scenes of the series, a kid who looks up to Luffy will "accidentally" eat the Mera Mera no Mi, and Luffy and crew will have the same reaction Shanks and crew had when Luffy ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi.
--This will be a passing of the torch, of sorts. To the next generation. (Heck... Maybe the Gomu Gomu no Mi belonged to the brother/step-brother of Gol D. Roger, and he kept it safe after his brother/step-brother died early similar to Ace). (Maybe, just maybe, if the Strawhat's acquire a Cabin Boy, he will be there instead of Luffy (if Luffy dies) when the kid eats it).
Pokemon I choose you:ninja:
@butman:
- Shusui (Zoro Sword) ¿eats?
Who else hoping that Captain "Jack"'s design be inspired by Captain Jack Sparrow's?? :D Can't wait to see him.

I bet you $1 million that not all Samurai in One Piece will wear the typical Samurai attire.
Are you a billionaire?
Basically this Ryuuji. What Thousand was implying.
And people who think Oda doesn't draw inspiration from…weird and campy things are kidding themselves. Oda is weird, and One Piece is weird and campy. Heck... Almost every artist/developer/director/whatever draws inspiration from other sources.

Reader: Mr. Oda. It looks like Boa Hancock appeared on the Jump cover 9 years ago! I was very surprised. Is that really her? Tell Me! - PX-10000
Oda: Wow, that really surprised me!! This was unexpected. Thank you, person on the Internet who found this. I honestly forgot about it myself. This picture is from "Color Works 2", an illustration collection. But at about that time, the story was entering the Grand Line, so I was asked to draw some enemies that would appear in the background, so I drew about four, and one of them was indeed Hancock. Naturally, when she actually appeared, I changed some things. But it's true that 9 years ago, I drew the Shichibukai Boa Hancock, Yup.
If you haven't got it through your head yet, he's pertaining to her art.
Are you saying someone who was a key character for some time during the story wasn't planned by Oda?
@The:
Ergo, Oda can change the armor of the guy in that picture to something more…traditionally Japanese.
Ergo, that guy could still be Kinemon's companion.
He also has a top-knot, something both Kinemon and Momonosuke have, something no one else in One Piece has had since their appearance (from what I can remember).
1. I never implied it is impossible. I even said it may be the case that Kanjuro is actually a villain, and threw away his Samurai life. And why are you suddenly going for "he can change clothes"? I thought you were about "SAMURAI! BUT HE WEARS 16TH CENTURY, EUROPEAN ARMOR! AND JEANS!"
2. I digress, his hair looks like either of these two (visage):
Doubtful.
In the context that you are using the word "doubtful" - which is wrong by the way - the same could be said for various other "doubtful" things that appeared in the story.
On that note, this conversation has become silly and has moved on from its original start.

That art Oda drew was about villains the Strawhat's might encounter in the Grand Line, Boa Hancock being one of them (like Oda said he drew it 9 years before that interview).
Boa Hancock though, once she was encountered, WAS NOT a villain. You're a fool if you think she was a villain at any point (in the series, not in concept).

Well, she was a villain for a few chapters… Stoning her people and sentencing Luffy to execution...

I'm a fool am I? You are failing to consider Boa Hancock's initial antagonism towards Luffy (which builds most of the arc), and her cruelty against her people (which lightened up after she became friendly with Luffy). By YOUR logic, Robin, Franky, Bon Clay, Smoker, Kuzan, (and to some extent, even Crocodile and Buggy) were never antagonists.
I dunno, Doflamingo seems pretty confident that Law wouldn't dare try to double-cross him at this stage. His arrogance will be his undoing.
But, I mean, why would Luffy and Law just hand over CC…
They can't think DD is gonna forgive them, that he's gonna be like:
"Oh yeah, I really don't mind you betrayed me Law and that you guys blew up my sad factory, forced me to abdict as a king and shishibukai and kick my subordiates ass. I mean, you gave me CC back... I am totally not gonna hunt you down now... Because, I am not mad anymore, you gave me my friend CC back... We're totally cool..."
So, if he's not retarded, DD will keep all his forces deployed in Dressrosa and maybe send his weakest subordinate to take CC, who most certainly won't be delivered anyways...

I seriously think people exaggerate with the Oda planned everything on the manga from the get-go. He's no Aizen.

1. Never was it implied that I believe everything was planned.
2. I assume you didn't bother to read the whole conversation?
i wouldnt mind a tournament (well not really tournament since its gonna be like a 1 round team, elimination contest) type of arc (team battle, like the king of fighters) if the final boss is doflamingo…he likes playing games anyway. and if he's the one who starts that tournament, he's gonna play dirty...his ability screams of that.
team strawhearts, kinemon and moria? vs team doflamingo and his deck of cards (now i hope monet and vergo does come back)? sounds awesome to me.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
the plan is getting clearer now, correct me if im wrong...so the plan is to destroy SAD (also defeat doflamingo) and make kaidou go after them?
so the coming arcs are basically, zoe----wano-kuni----kaidou's turf?
holy balls this thread must be setting some sort of record

1- Was talking in general.
2-I was respounding to this
so I was asked to draw some enemies that would appear in the background, and one of them was indeed Hancock.
Oda himself said he pretty much forget about those. And Handcock wasn't really a enemy. I mean it was just a big misunderstanding
Hancock was an enemy, who wanted to kill Luffy but her powers didn't work on him, then sentence him to execution.
Oda himself said he pretty much forget about those.
He is pertaining to the fact that he even drew the characters for chapter 100. It doesn't mean he forgot about the characters - it means he forgot about the drawing.
And Handcock wasn't really a enemy. I mean it was just a big misunderstanding
1. I would like to direct you to wherever post I made it clear how "Handcock" was Amazon Lily Arc's antagonist.
2:
Smoker wasn't really an enemy. He was just doing his job in Loguetown!
Robin wasn't really an enemy. It was all a big facade.
Bon Clay wasn't really an enemy. They became instant friends when they first met right?
Franky wasn't really an enemy. He stole from lowly pirates! And wanted revenge for destroying his home and hurting his men!
I could go on. (Also smoker's still an enemy. An enemy as much as Coby is an enemy)
Hody Jones wasn't really an enemy. No seriously. He wasn't.
Marines are pirates enemy. Robin was a big facade like you say. Bon Clay was an enemy, he was actually trying to get rid of them. Franky did pirate stealing so he was an enemy. But yeah I see your point. But I referring to Handcock being a villain in need of a beat down which she wasn't.
If a huge tournament exists in New world for pirates, then I'm 100% sure Jesus Burges will be there. That's his thing, he loves fighting and he even has a champion belt.
Or maybe the last samurai just drowned, like it was implied?
I don't see why Oda would make a point to say that there were four samurai only to have one of them killed off at sea like random fodder and not play a role in the story again. He's going to be relevant later on.
I think that Law's plan is more far-reaching than the plot has let onto yet. I think that "Diamonte" is just a code name for whoever holds the seat, paralleled to Baroque Works agents' code names of numbers and holidays.
If that is the case, then the new question is: Who is Diamonte? My guess: Jean Bart. There's a reason he didn't show up on the color spread with the rest of the crew, and there's a reason why Diamonte's face is hidden in that same color spread. Nothing's proven or disproven yet, but it's enough of a coincidence to make you think that he's serving some sort of double agent role by being in Doflamingo's inner circle. Finally, it's a pretty big coincidence that Jean Bart is introduced in the context of the slave auction on Saobady, which conveniently leads to the reintroduction of Doflamingo at that point.
What if DD wanted to recruit Luffy from the start? What we know right now is that he likes to take rookies (Bellamy) and young people in general (Law) under him. Furthermore, he is confident enough to even try to recruit strong people like Crocodile. In the last chapter he says that he always wanted to meet him and during PH he said that Luffy has even more potential than Law who actually was supposed to work for him. I think it is not too farfetched that he plans to allure Luffy with the fruit. The only problem is whether he would forgive Luffy for what he has done until now.
Hahahahah no worries buddy, I´m not competing for a prize.
By the way whoever mentioned the Battle Royale idea, count me in the wagon. How Epic would a DD + crew and allies Vs Fujitora Vs Strawheart alliance be. I could see a lot of running around and fighting. However we would first need to know if Fujitora is traveling alone; my gut feeling says that he isn´t. Remember Kizaru? he appeared with Sentoumaru when the Shabondy incident so Fujitora bringing a VA or some backup with him would be understandable. Admirals don´t really need the Backup for fighting but someone has to steer the Navy ship.
I was the one who suggested it, what i had in mind is even a bit different from Skypeia. We would have 3 factions, who you already mentioned, who pretty much would never work together while being more or less equals in fighting power. In Skypeia we had 1 "big bad" with Enel who seemed invincible and 2 factions who were clearly inferior who had no chance but to work together. They was also only 1 serious fight between the SHs and a Shandian, namely Zoro vs Braham. This definitely would not happen with these 3 factions.

I don't mean to be rude, but unless your theory is that Jean Bart had plastic surgery I don't see how someone could mistake the two? The structures of their lips/mouth are especially different

Because Diamante has the Mera. He's an important dude from this moment on.

The color page features everyone who is relevant for the New Era, either as instigator or as target. We have DD, Big Mum, Shanks, Kaidou and Blackbeard as targets, the latter obviously also as instigator while Apoo, Kidd, Hawkins, Luffy and his crew + Law and his crew are the ones from the New Era who are targeting the Yonkou. Diamante in the scenario does not play a role. All the others do.

Hair color aside, the shape of the corner of Diamante's mouth doesn't match the colorspread guy.
Three revealed yonkou + 1 obscured face = It's Kaidou. Dofla's mook doesn't get the corner piece of a "This is the New World, bitches" colorspread.

Yeah, considering that both Shanks and Blackbeard were on it despite not even having a post-TS appearance and nothing to do with the current situation means that its almost certainly Kaidou or someone filling in for Kaidou's role.
Furthermore, I doubt DD would put a such a weak and relative newbie in what is presumably his #2 or #3 position, and trust him with a key part of his plan. The man seems to have alot of decently strong people on his crew that he completely trusts, all of whom would have been passed over if he got promoted there. It doesn't make any sense.
