@Foxy:
These characters aren't Tashigis. They serve the same purpose as the Baroque Works members and CP9 agents.
.
mister 3 came back to fight again? he was only needed for the key. and who from CP9 returned?
If that's the case I nominate Shadowy Smileyface with glasses next to Sanji for this years tournament.
Jabra no it´s the stalker crab from the first picture when the scene shifts to the ship. It stands behind Luffy who is fishing. Seems like the stalker crab went ahead and jumped to the ship´s aquarium :)
A penguin with a backpack, Bepo mirroring Usopp in Law´s wanted poster and the stalker crab…how does Oda always come up with this kind of stuff?
Yeah…the guy three posts before yours did. As well as several others before him too.
Sometimes i forget you guys have hawk eyes, then again i didn't read much of this thread.

Hahaha, I totally missed it there. Stalker crab, brilliant.
Stalker crab for 10th crew member. Look at him, he's totally invested in the conversation.
just….
its prolly the third time i saw sanji smoking 2 cigarettes at the same time (if im not mistaken, he was also doing it in shabondy)
EDIT: also, random guess, the next new character that will travel with the strawhats (prolly kinemon's nakama)...his name will start with letter "N"
just throwing it out.
Ha I missed the stalker crab; shame on me.
yeah, now you notice it,when i pointed it out everyone ignored me:getlost:
[/attention whore]
Looks like it's up to ass
So wait, if a Shichibukai is allied with another crew, what does that mean for the two crews?
I asume that Law will be pressured into breaking the alliance to maintain his status, right?
Looks like it's up to ass
That crab's either working for Big Mam or Kaidou. But it's good, it's damn good to sneak on the ship that easily.
Oh sneaky stalker crab what sort of villainy are you plotting? If you only had a twirly mustache, cane, and a snooty british voice.
I can't tell if his call was hanged or not but the Den Den Mushi's eyes are opened so I guess Doflamingo actually wanted to take the call? Also, loving how Doflamingo is listening to classical music and is reading a book, wow, he must have good manners/etiquette taught to him throughout his years
How do you know he's listening to classical music?

Maybe it's Kaido.. The strongest creature in the world - A crab. :ninja:

like Law gives a shit about his status anymore

Good point, it's one thing if Crocodile teams up with Nico Robin, but another if the alliance is outed in the paper. I imagine Law will be stripped of his title. Then again, he only needed it to be on PH, right?
This chapter was awesome all around. I'm actually glad that the Doflamingo/Ao Kiji fight was postponed so we could see the plot move forward. It is a good potential fight, but I don't like having too many fight chapters that don't move the plot forward. I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of Doflamingo and Ao Kiji action later on. But still, I like that Doflamingo was toyed with here but still showed that he wasn't going to get beaten so easily in one layer of ice.
Now let's see where things go from here. I did also enjoy Momonosuke's gag here and Kinemon trying to beat him his own son, the perv. (I totally get why they're jealous, though).

Only issue I have with that is that it seems the WG is in a constant disarray. It seems kind of tiresome to have to keep replacing everyone.

I would like to imagine Kaido spending his free time as a harmless crab and climbs onto random ships just for shits and giggles. "Hay what sort of shenanigans are these green horns up to? Oh look two big bosom ladies and a child in the same bed. A talking skeleton and robot man? What a crazy world!"

So the jizz-worthy event that's going down next chapter is stalker crab kicking ass left and right. We will be in shock at first but soon after we'll realize the crab's greatness. Brilliant, Oda.

You forgot to mention the freakishly huge robot with goldie locks and a talking reindeer that curses when complimented.
I'm surprised Law waited for the Newspaper more than I'm with the News itself. This is gonna be a chess game now, isn't it?
Kaidou is probably the one calling Dofla, and if we get Akainu and the new Admirals… BOOOOOOOM!!!!11!!1
Isn't the call coming from law's denden mushi?
BTW
Seriously fuck you Stephen… After this chapter... How chapter 700 can top it... Damn you have made me hyped even more :cwy:
I wonder if Kaidou, though incredibly strong, won't be…evil like Big Mam.
Like he has gags and stuff connected to him etc.

Seriously fuck you Stephen… After this chapter... How chapter 700 can top it... Damn you have made me hyped even more :cwy:
It will probably show Sakazuki and stuff, and maybe, just maybe, it will show the 2 new Marine Admirals–who may be sent out against the alliances being made, and Doflamingo. With the help of Kizaru, of course.
just a question… you thought the fight with croc was better than lucci's?
Without a doubt.

Also, where did Stephen comment on chapter 700?
Whats up with the weird bird on the water?! Anyone got a clue?
Where did Stephen say this? It's not listed in his posts. Was if Facebook or something?

It's just an owl. It was night, and it helped to show that.
700 only tops this chapter for me if kaidou and akainu gets revealed (even partly for kaidou) and with an insane twist.

Seems like RPG-Time inspired him to do a medieval theme for this one, and I love it. Fascinating how each of the Straw Hat's personalities fit into so many different settings, even if Usopp really steals the show here. Beautiful art as always, and at this point I really prefer a CS over another episode of Caribou's dragged cover story.Chapter
Heh, clever Doflamingo. He realises that he has no chance to beat a former Admiral, so he tries to sneak the finishing blow in while he still can. Yet one little flash-freeze from Kuzan was enough to make him heavily pant and his subordinates fear for his life. All while having his hands in his pockets. I usually don't like to use the word "manhandled", but I must agree with Wolfwoof there. Still, I think Oda did a good job at showing that Doflamingo isn't some small fry who gets oneshotted just like that (similar to Jinbe who blocked Akainu's magma fist with one hand).
Right, the moment Aokiji started to talk I KNEW that reading Mangapanda's version would be like staring at blank pages. His dialogues are already hard to comprehend, but without Aohige or CCC the whole conversation would have been a pain to follow. Thanks again for the quick translation. Anyway, I like how Kuzan didn't pay any attention to Doflamingo at all, but tried to save Smoker immediately. I was aware that they have a special connection, but as of this chapter it seems like they have a real bond (_"It's me, Smoker")._I wonder how Smoker will react to all of this, and more importantly, which conclusion he draws for himself after his talk with Aokiji (and basically everything that happened at Punk Hazard).
So Doflamingo is exceptional when compared to Boa Hancock, which can only refer to their position as the King/Queen of their respective islands. So him being of noble blood is a real possiblity now, but what difference would it make? In the end the Admirals will chase him down, the same way they would try to capture Hancock. I assume that Kuzan refers to his connections to the underworld, that's the only reason I can imagine that warrants the use of more than one Admiral (assuming that they are still the elite force of the Marines and few in numbers). Talking about Admirals, I think it is noteworthy that Kuzan still considers Akainu to be a force of justice who will act when necessary, even if his methods are questionable. I really can't wait to see the new guard and I bet we will get to see them in chapter 700. At least that's the only way how it could blow me away, if it's really supposed to (like Steven implied).
Crew interaction, loads of it. The chapter was already filled with badassery, but the moments on the ship are always my favorite. We finally have Kinemon commenting on Ryuuma, and the whole Momonosuke joke cracked me up. Personally I really don't understand the complaints, to me everything seemed perfectly in character (considering that Nami is basically a Belemere 2.0 and Robin treats Chopper in a similar manner ever since). The fanservice is one thing, but I guess I got used to it over the years.
All in all this was definitely one of the better chapters, and 700 will have a hard time to top it in terms of reveals & comedy.

Thanks man!!! You have your mail in overquota. I wanted to PM. Could you please make place for a message?
Awesome color spread. Stalker crab and sleepy penguin/gull/whatever bird were pure awesomeness. The Shuusui bit was nice too, as was Momonosuke's face when Nami hugged him. I'm sure I'm not the first person to complain about this but…Robin.
He stated it in one of the "Let's play Grandline" series that he has or participates in
Thank you! Very exciting stuff coming.
My only complaint about the chapter was that it felt weird seeing Robin walking around in a towel like that. Nami is understandable but Robin not so much. Oh well. As for with Momo she treats Chopper the same way. And we saw Nami taking a bath with Chopper at the start of this arc.
Oh and Franky's sex change. Freaky.

You mean it was weird to see the seductive Nico Robin walking around in a towel?
Well.. she did seem to tone it down after the Skypea Arc. Maybe she's coming back to her seducing roots.

Agreed so much. I am the one to rant about sexist stuff but this is totes within behavior and if you've been rreading one piece you'll know that Robin luvs Chopper like a mom. Look at the way she treated him when he couldn't move after using monster point in this arc.
I think people are just jealous of Momo and they're taking out their frustrations on Robin and Nami… and Oda
Breasts are amazing.
Does anyone else find it odd the wanted posters for the other supernovas use their timeskip portraits. They all had bounties before, so I don't see why the images were changed. None of them look particularly different.
GUESS WHO'S BACK!!!!
MEEEEEEEE!!!!
Anyways, I decided to stop reading One Piece for a while because I was, well, hating it. Since the timeskip. I actually was enjoying the first chapters of Punk Hazard a lot, but it didn't last long and soon I was annoyed as hell.
But someone told me the plot was back on the tracks and I couldn't be more pleased with the last chapters.
I guess the thing is, despite how much I loved see Luffy going on adventures and exploring the islands at first while we would only get a few infos about the big names in the world (I actually hated when the exploring was interrupted by fights before), after the same big names and organizations and powers became the center of the story in Impel Down and the War, the plot moved to a climax. After the story progressed that much to the point of meeting the core of the plot, going back to the old days of exploring and fighting for random reasons simply doesn't work with me anymore.
It was great, it was what defined One Piece, but the story moved on.
That's what was bothering me so damn much in the last two arcs.
But the last chapters… damn! Loved it. And the next arc is so incredibly promising. Now I pray that no island appear in the way to Dressrosa. I can't wait to see the plot getting thicker again (and it now demands Shichibukai, Marine, World Government, Emperors, underworld, the alliances...)
p.s.: incredible how Doflamingo went from "completely meh" to "I love this guy!" to me. I am seriously hoping Law and Luffy are going to fail miserably (and I actually can see it happening, as nothing the Strawhats faced since the time-skip was worth of being called even a nuisance. It's like Oda is waiting to suddenly throw the real New World in their faces).
not complainin here! :) LOL

the odd thing is that luffy still has the same image as two years ago,not the opposite.
Oh and Franky's sex change. Freaky.
I swear Oda reads the forums and trolls people asking for another female nakama like this…there you go, Heidi.
About Robin, did we ever get so much fanservice with her? And last chapter discussion I posted that the only negative aspect was Robin doing nothing for 2 chapters but sitting and sipping tea...and now we get this? Oh my...but no matter how much love I have for Robin, Penguin the Hiker and Stalker Crab alongside "King of Birds?" won this chapter. It´s super funny that Luffy is like a little kid who plays a videogame...Shichibukai, Yonkou, that´ll be fun!
I wonder what his heart wasn't frozen meant. Did Aokiji only freeze him at half power? Did Dofla manage to supress the freezing effect to a degree with Haki? In
I wonder what his heart wasn't frozen meant.
It's a fucked up translation. Don't read too much into it.

i think its just as simple as doflamingo having enough haki to prevent him from getting oneshotted. like whitebeard.

@The:
Breasts are amazing.
Well said. Anyway, she´s way more confident in herself than before the time skip and enjoys herself more…ehm.
*** Looks at Nubtro's Avatar…
Can´t see the pic you posted. Yeah the pic in my avatar is nice and all, but it´s different than full nudity covered by a kid´s head and a then such a short towel that leaves almost nothing to your imagination…but Nami still beats her with her famous Alabasta flashing scene I guess. No I don´t want this kind of contest between them, I love Robin because she´s classy, mysterious and laid back (cool) but also has an emotional side (Enies Lobby)...
But back to the chapter. Reason for Dofla surviving the freeze?
1. CoA Haki.
2. Kuzan not going for the frozen solid level on purpose.
3. Dofla is sturdier than Jozu.
4. Plot.
I think Aokiji's attacks are nicely shown against Saul. The flash-freeze type from a distance merely "coats" the opponent in a layer of ice, while the direct touch turns them into popsicles. Since his hands never left his pockets it was obviously the first type.
So not surprising that Doflamingo could escape (albeit with some effort).
