Anyone remember them? I used to watch it at school…..

@RobbyBevard:
Robby, thanks for making my day.
How about some commercial nostalgia? [hide]
-
I just realized a lot of my childhood was spent listening to oldies but goodies on my mom's car, a bunch of 80's pop music and 70's disco, and even some funk, hell sometimes she put in CCR (she's not a hippie kid more like a discokid/80s teen) and I have to show her more gratitude for paving the way for my vast and open taste in music.
I'm still close-minded when it comes to modern mainstream radio pop and rap, though.
Other nostalgia would be things like N64, Pokemon (which has already been established as common nostalgia for many here), the old CN and Nick cartoons, Star Wars, etc. I was such a geeky little kid. I still have geeky tastes but doesn't everyone?
-
I'm not nostalgic for Pokemon because I still play it :ninja:
-
When I was a kid and I was home sick from school, I would watch this on Nickelodeon:
Then in the evening, I watched
I really need to get that series on DVD.

You watched Count Duckula ?
I thought I was the only one here :O
-
Yep, and Dangermouse too (which Duckula was a spinoff from). Doubt we were the only two people to watch it for all the years it was on the network XD
It think it was a very clever cartoon for its time, it would be nice if it turned up on Boomerang or The Hub, Nick probably has some kind of hold over it still, though. -

There was a joke about Igor almost running someone over and wanting to go back and try again :P
-
It's been such a long time since I've watched it, other than an episode I just saw on youtube the other day, but the 80's were very un-pc in general. That was Igor's sadistic personality though as I remember it, all he ever wanted was Duckula to be a real vampire that killed people drank their blood. I felt like it wasn't aimed at kids in the way cartoons usually are now.
-
Used to be one of my favourite shows.
!
-
-
@Trapped: fuck yeah~
i watched that all the time :) -
-
Yeah. Same creators.
-
You have no earthly idea how much I loved Megas XLR
-
Used to be one of my favourite shows.
!
Too bad they got way too full of themselves and made an awful movie that no one asked for except weeaboos.
"Should we wrap all our loose ends (Like TERA) and go out with some dignity? Oh no.. screw that. Let's send them to Japan."
Mad mod was a really fun episode, but the show really shined when they started doing actual arcs.
And it's pretty hard to hate Megas. Homages and Parodies errwhere. Anykid who watched Giant Robot shows felt right at home.

Completely. Agree. I loved loved loved the Terra arc so much, and I was so disappointed that they never tied that up. Mad mod is one of the more memorable ones, I agree. And I more or less enjoyed the arc where Raven's dad brought down hell, as complicated as it was for me at that time. :P

Yeah dude. Our generation that witnessed it were lucky bastards.
-
Chicks love giant robots
-
I loved Megas XLR…though I can't feel nostalgic about it yet because it really feels like just yesterday I was watching that on CN.
-
Nostalgiaaaa I adore the first season. I had the luck to watch the "original show", which just used the names from the U.S. due to marketing reasons, so I do not now how much of a difference it makes to its original counterpart. The only thing near its American counterpart was thebastardizedmovie I watched  -

That THAMES logo used to creep me out for some reason…

Reading through my diary. :ninja:
Generally listening to music though, which always reminds me of the times that I first heard it/listened to it a lot, and the relevant emotions and things that went on at that time…

i still to this day get this stuck in my head.

Recces ftw. I think that and spongebob are one of the best cartoons for kids ( US cartoons )
-
I can't people have put all these great shows but have forgotten to add these ones

Although that song is horrifically depressing. How did I or my parents not pick up on that as a kid? XD

The death march to Nostalgia heaven:
-
Here's to missing all the awesome cartoons from the 90s to early 2000's… seriously after a day of elementary school going home to watch digimon, dragonballz (countless others as well, too many to mention now actually) at 8 and 830 was just amazing... looking at the cartoons my younger siblings watch now I actually feel bad for how much TV just downright sucks for kids these days
-
-
I counted fire hydrants.
-
cool, i remember doing the little running man thing. good times.
oh my god, memories.
also, 0:32… DAT BASSLINE. -
90's and late 80's Nickelodeon. I miss those shows as well as the Nickelodeon bumpers
I went to my old elementary school to pick up my nephew the other day, and it was very nostalgic. Oddly, I was looking for my old classmates on the playground, but of course they would not be there.
-
The princess and the goblin. Even though it was somewhat scary (the drawing style and all) I loved it as a kid.
!
This song is so nice( ). My favourite characters were the guards. All of them that had screentime (and weren't fillers) looked different. There's a really tall and a really short one who are guarding together. The little one is about half the size as the tall one. It always made me chuckle!
From 8:29.Anybody remembers it other than me?

revisiting some of my favourite crash bandicoot music :)

Chip's challenge anyone?
-
You know, my roommate was just going on about that game. He's not much of a gamer, but he was telling me how much he loved Chip's Challenge. I found him an emulated version somewhere, and he's been playing it all day.
also, you suddenly want to go buy Pokemon cards again, just to hear the sound of the booster packs opening.
-
Didn't have that one but I remember having a heavy Pumba one and Lion King reminded me of them. I wish I knew where my pogs are:sad:

I do remember that movie. There was a time that I loved it. Then one day it started freaking me out and I could never watch it again XD That damn song the boy sang was very catch.

My favourite one's were those with the hairy caveman and then a weird series from France with all kinds of aliens.
