CC voice is the same as Dr. Indigo in One piece: Strong world?

So I guess it is time to start watching the anime again. Took a break since mid Fishman Island or so.
Went Manga-only for a bit, but I reckon PH could be enjoyable in the anime. -
CC voice is the same as Dr. Indigo in One piece: Strong world?
! Oddly fitting because before Caesar's full form was revealed we got a shot of him in gas form with just his gloves that made him highly reminiscent of Indigo.

Yep, Ryusei Nakao voices the both of them.
-
Looking forward to seeing more of Kinemon
-
Are they actually gonna cover half a chapter an episode? This is just ridiculous man
-
Characters looked more three-dimensional than usual and had more pop to them, completely new music piece, general good directing. Loved it. Actually got a laugh out of me when Luffy and the leopard centaur were exchanging brotaur banter! Luffy looked like really really good this episode. I actually liked Monet's voice a lot more than CC's.

Well like a previous poster said Toei animated the last pages of 656, half of 657, and some pages from 658 apparently
! I would have preferred if they had just sticked to covering the whole of 657 since I really enjoy Kinemon's comedic scenes with the SHs but eh what can ya do u_u

? They covered more than a half of chapter this episode…...but seeing as how the manga and anime are currently in the same arc, there will be a slowdown of pacing either way.
Now for my thoughts-
Pretty good episode! Art was good......everything popped......I think what I liked the most was the music. There were tracks from earlier episodes, so that brings the classic factor. From the mysterious aura/guitar solo music when Usopp spotted Monet, and the creepy music when Caesar was mulling with his subordinates.
Speaking of, Caesar's VA sounds great already. Mr. Nakao does not fail to deliver, even if this is not the first time he's played a mad scientist. Can't wait for him to shine in later scenes.
Then we head to Kinemon. Not the voice I was expecting, but I think the VA does a good job of managing the serious yet eccentric personality Kinemon has. Noticed he ends his lines with "-de gozaru", which fits.
The humor was good too, namely when Sanji and the others tried to put the face together, and Luffy broed it out with the cheetah-panther guy.
As for Monet......her voice fits so far, but it's not very....distinct to me.

First episode I liked in a while.

Does anyone know the name of the goofy carnival-esque music that played around the 8:20 mark, where Luffy was chasing Kinemon's legs?
It's an old track but I never learned what it was called.

That bgm is called " Escape ", from " TV OST One Piece Music & Song Collection 2 "
the part you are talking about starts at 02:17 in that song
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I have a bgm request too:
at 01:48? When " Master " ( not gonna use his name to avoid spoilers ) is looking at Sanji, Nami, Chopper and Franky
Is it a new one? I can't find it in the old osts, maybe i missed it

Okay was just me or they use a soundtrack from the biker mice from mars when usopp saw that myterious winged girl who you guys call monet even though we don't see anyone say her name:ninja:?

Yes funnily enough, as well as Mayuri Kurotsuchi, one of the few characters I actually liked from Bleach.

This one had some quality art direction and animation for the most part. This also may be the first time I've seen the sort of pastel-looking coloring and line-drawing that was used in this episode. A very well-done episode which made the comedy really stand out. There were also some minor music cues that I don't recall being used in the series before. The new voices also sounded great. Even the filler scenes were entertaining.
The preview for the next episode also looks very good in the art and animation department so far. Seems like this arc is getting a bit of an upswing.
I think Takagi got this reputation because his late EL episodes looked sloppy, but then again, almost every episode looked rushed around that time.
I always liked him much better than the likes of Yokoyama, his style is very lively and distinct - although i can see why some people wouldn't appreciate that, i think it works much better than the blandness of other AD's. And he did some of the best Impel Down/Fishmen Island episodes.
I agree with you there, I really don't mind his more exaggerated styles aren't "Oda-esque" enough. The energy added to the art and animation are much more appreciated than a lot of the stiff or workmanlike efforts we often get.
-
Good episode. Great to see Frieza's voice actor finally landing a One Piece role that isn't a movie.
-
Caesar, Kinemon.
Fuck the art up as much as you like Toei, I will endure everything with those voice actors.

What if the new opening is Eternal Waves?
" TV Size ":
Full size:
For those who don't know, this song was used for the new ONE PIECE PSP videogame called " Romance Dawn "
It wouldn't be the first time where a opening theme is used FIRST in a game and THEN in the anime, just like we go, it was first heard in the " ONE PIECE Gigant Battle 2: New world " trailers and then in the opening:
I wanted somenthing more… " violent " for the Punk Hazard arc, but if it's really Eternal Waves i am okay with that, it is a calm song that in some point become more active, just like One Day was
What do you guys think? Would you like this one as the new opening?
-
-
Yeah… I really hope that's not the new opening.
-
I don't think it would fit well for the arc, what with all the lamenting on the past which the previous opening 'Fight Together' did pretty well already. Wouldn't make a lot of sense switching from the feel-good 'We Go!'. It should be all about the current excitement in the new world and not concentrating on the past.

Or a filler character.

How can Kinemon's torso talk? Is his the voice coming from his head, or does his torso have a voice of it's own?
I've probably missed something big, right?

! He can talk through farts. That's why there are "-bu"'s at the end of his sentences sometimes.
-
Man, I wish they'd just stop producing episodes for half a year and then cover more content with better animation in every episode.
Would be way more rewarding.PH is such a good arc and I hope they don't fuck it up too badly.
-
The animation was much better this week. Although there wasn't too much happening. It's fun hearing the voices of the new characters lol. Was a bit surprised about a couple of em.
-
I really enjoyed this chapter, I really like that they don't simply follow the manga panel by panel.
-

His lower half can talk because
! farts
From what I know
! when we finally see his torso it doesn't speak but if it did it would mean he has talking nipples
And his head can talk because MOUTH. -
I enjoyed this episode immensely. I love Kinemon's and Monet's voices and I abso-fucking-lutely love Caesar's. Dat shurorororo.
And looks like I'm the only one who actually enjoys Usopp's cowardly antics/reactions. Don't find them the least bit annoying.

! Wait, does that mean Caesar when turned to gas talks through farts too? :O

! Or better yet, maybe it could talk through armpit farts? :ninja: -

don't worry, I enjoy them aswell

Didnt see anyone mention in it, but Kinemons voice-actor is the same as Tendo-Pain in Naruto. Really like that voice-actor.
-
Just as they expanded on the things that happen offscreen in these chapters, i hope they'll expand the fight between "that guy" and Smoker becauses he lifted up the marine ship at the end of one chapter, then in the next chapter it was sliced up out of nowhere so hopefully they can clarify in the anime what happened during that gap.

! I think there's alot of potential for that in this arc. There are alot of rapid scene changes between different groups in the manga with implied action occurring off panel. Hell, we don't even get to see Law's fight with Vergo until Law's already almost down, and Monet turning the biscuit room into a blizzard was all off-panel too. Maybe make the YCB less complete pushovers.
! I just really hope they find a way to avoid stretching out the RUN FROM SMILEY section. That dragged even in the manga. -

! They'd better. I can't imagine what would happen if they didn't.

I doubt it. For We Go! we still never even heard the actual vocals until the first post-timeskip episode. Sure the trailers had an instrumental of the song, but it was pretty clear that they were saving the actual singing portion for the anime to premiere first.
Plus if that was meant to be the song I'm pretty sure we would've already known about it. For We Go! we had it confirmed that the instrumental playing in those trailers was going to be the music for the new opening not long after it first came out.
