Part 2 was decent until Sasuke showed up. Kishimoto tried to give him equal plot relevance since he was never shown in the last two arcs, which led to him not focusing on the main character from large Arcs. Naruto's actual first fight was the Pein Invasion. To make Naruto more relevant to the plot and story again Kishi came up with the Rikoudo Sennin's sons story. The rivalry between Senju and Uchiha. To put it simple, that one move(giving sasuke to much plot relevance) he made resulted in what we have today.
Before he gave Sasuke too much relevance, Kishi was actually focusing on the Konoha 11 the past 2 arcs.
(Just my thoughts after rereading the first 2 arcs)
So if Naruto just won n killed Sasuke, we wouldn't be reading yaoi

England vs. France is nothing compared to the Hundred Chapters' War!!

If Kishi's editor hadn't suggested adding Sasuke, more like.
I still think that the manga would make much more sense if Naruto was really gay for Sasuke, love makes people do dumb things and he has done alot of those.
If Kishi's editor hadn't suggested adding Sasuke, more like.
Let's be fair, Kishimoto's editor suggested adding a rival character which is pretty standard shonen stuff and usually for the best. It's not like he suggested creating the abomination we now know as Sasuke today.

Of course. I'm just saying that the editor suggesting the inclusion of a rival character indirectly lead to the large influx of Naruto Yaoi. I'm also saying that thinking about what the manga would have been like without Sasuke is an interesting thought experiment.
Does this kind of mistake happen often? Cuz, it feels like it does.
You mean having something original to a character and then everyone seems to have it…. yeah that definitely happens all the time
Super Saiyans is probably the top example, in the end almost every saiyan became a super Saiyan, I know some people got mad that everyone has Devil Fruits now In One Piece, where it used to be rare and exclusive, not many pirates wanted a Df now they all seem to have them
Hell American Comic books do this the most, spider man has all sorts of clones, and there's spider woman, How many characters in Marvel have had some form of the Super Soldier Serum, or how they sued to have only Greek and Norse Mythology gods and now they have them for every culture, there were so many mutants they had to down size with the no more mutants thing, how many Ironman like clones are there or creatures made from Gamma Radiation, it just get's ridiculous at some point

Well I missed something weird.
It makes you wonder what happened to the good old days where the Naruto thread was about Pizza, Boobs and 80's manga
It was great for about 6 months and then people came in that didn't understand why and how it was what it was and what worked about it, and the thread turned into a toxic waste spam chatroom that filled 100 pages in a week, and that attitude started going everywhere else. It was not good and had to be cut off.

Well thank heavens the current chapter discussion thread is above that…
I'm kidding; I think it's cool you guys are letting it slide for the moment, seeing as they've run out of new things to discuss anyway.
Well thank heavens the current chapter discussion thread is above that…
This is absolutely nothing like it was.
The thread was getting closed on a daily basis.
This is mostly just the annual "no new chapters for three weeks" lull.
Err…..well, there seems to be a lull in the conversation. I'll just leave this here.

Bold move. Thinking more than 5 minutes about THE PLAN can make a man dissy with sheer nonsensical contradictory contrivance. Impressed you could limit it to one entry. Looking forward to reading.

It's like walking into a house the day after a kegger, the host has already cleaned up, but you can still smell the booze.
Okay, reading now, great stuff Meta.
But. I am reminded of something.
Where's Harribel. No, serious. I don't feel anything for her character, but she was shown to be alive and we've had kind of a "rescue" attempt by her goons in place…..so what gives ?
If Kubo seriously just forgets about her and never adresses her again when he could have just kept her dead, then I'll seriously come and show that zebra statue up his ass. There's one thing to bring back such a (so far) bland characters no one cared about by now, but to do it for no reason and then just forget without ever resolving this is quite something else.

Were they going to rescue her? I thought Ichigo and the Funky Bunch went to go get Donchaka (sp?). But yeah…Weren't they making her do stuff? I want to assume they are still in HM, but there was a tent for some reason.

Her Posse wanted to rescue her and I think she was supposed to be at the same plaxe Donchaka (?) was too.
By the way, who here liked Condom Aizen ? If he didn't talk but merely expressed himself by those vacant non-expressive "expressions" then I would have realy liked that to be honest. Why ? Because it felt so utterly non-human, it felt like it was something that didn't have any ties to humanity at all and I would have liked that so much, so much more then Aizen getting a hair extension.

Oh and Meta. A little adition. Aizen said he wants to "prop up" Ichigo's dead friends' bodies to piss Ichigo off...only if Aizen would make the key he'd destroy the entiere city and there'd be nothing left for Ichigo to see !
Also didn't Aizen say he also planed for Gin to betray him/knew all along he was gonna do it ?

Also you should have posted Tentacle Aizen's pic in the article too !
And mention the "symbolism" of it having three hollow holes.

Condom Aizen was weird. Butterzen was the worst. I was a bit fond of the mullet though. And then I guess bondage chair eye-patch Aizen. Although Kubo piles on more transformations on his characters than I think Sailormoon had in total in her whole series.
I don't get why Aizen changed so quickly. Was it really supposed to be the full butterfly metaphor? The condom suit was the cocoon?
Also didn't the Central 46 give him like an extra 2000 years in prison just for insulting them ? I know it's Aizen but still, two millenia for making fun of the Central 46 seems a tad asinine.

He was weird but at least to me that weirdness was something that was actualy unsettling. Not only could the asshole not smirk anymore, he seemed to not have any means to convey actual emotions and that's what was so interesting about that !
Pitty Kubo had to go and do all that other crap instead.

Also meta, you're missing "transformed into tentacle monster" in the list of Aizen's flaws around the sentence-related part of the article.

Pretty awesome article Meta ! Keep going !
However, as far as your wish at the end is concerned.....Mayuri is realy not that interesting. First off total nutjob Mengele Expies usualy aren't interesting, they're unsettling, and disgusting but you don't realy care about them personaly. Because their particular brand of "crazy" makes them one note in what you can expect from them and you realy can't get invested in them beyond wanting to see them die. At least that's my opinion.

This is the Central 46 we're talking about, the same august body of justice that prides itself on handing out only the most arbitrary and myopic sentences in the history of soul-jurisprudence

Ohh…..okay.
Also didn't Aizen say he also planed for Gin to betray him/knew all along he was gonna do it ?
Nope, because he was generally shocked that his Bankai had attempted to kill him. He thanked Gin for allowing him to evolve further, but if he _honestly k_new Gin would do that, he would've been stabbed with the same uncaring smug expression, wouldn't he?

Hm. I of course, must disagree. While it's terrible that Kubo's swept Mayuri's crimes under the rug (Uryu goes from total hatred to minor dislike!), scenes with him are at least never boring. And personally? He's the best designed of all Bleach characters. But that's just my opinion.

You sure about that ? Because I remember him saying he planned for/was expecting Gin to betray him or something to that effect.

I don't disagree, I hate how he just ignored that too. It's just, someone like that is not main antagonist material, at least not for as long as Aizen was. Because then you're series becomes Franken-Fran and I start to cry while assuming a fetal position.

Maybe the problem is length; you put any villain in the spotlight for 48 volumes worth of action, and you're bound to get sick of them.
Also note.
The explanation of why everyone has a sudden unexplained memory loss about the people from SS seems rather bogus. And again, I think there'd be factual evidence to back up these "mysterious exchange students" no one seems to remember that not even SS can go all out and delete all of it.

Also personal note, realy wish you guys didn't post as many videos in blog articles. One it slows down the loading process, especialy when there's several non-shortened articles heavy on embeded videos on the main page, and two, once those videos get taken down, people aren't gonna get what you were reffering to and you yourselves might not remember after a while.

All I know is that they have the means to erase the short-term memory of people (Rukia did it Orihime back in chapter 2 or so), but I doubt it's their top priority. They can barely get by taking down Hollows as is.

Sorry about that, but I personally think it's easier to find the videos of the event in question. Using them allows me to make a wall of text stand out a bit, but I'm always checking. If a video gets taken down, I'll replace it immediately.

Chapte 2 ? Where ?
Ichigo and Rukia encounter Acidwire, the Hollow formed by Orihime's brother, Sora. Sora expels Orihime's soul from her body, technically killing her. When Ichigo beats Acidwire, Rukia puts Orihime's soul back and wipes her memory of the incident…...don't remember the exact page.

I found it but it was like chapter 6 ?
Thinking on how souls reincarnate back and forth between soul society and the living world, whenever someone is born in the living world, someone in soul society had to 'die', right?
There is a rough estimate of 4.2 births per second in our world. People must be dropping like flies in Rukongai, right?
And/or, beating an Espada filled up the queue on living world-bound souls for the next ~8.5 years? Although, that doesn't really explain births from before all this Vasto Lorde killing…

I think that if this is the case then the Rukongai certainly delivers.
But I don't think that's the way it is. Unless it's like Darkness and someone not using a rubber gives a soul in SS a case of incurable "soul cancer" or something. I think they're souls in some sorta limbo queue.
….Now I don't know either way. Darn it.

Gin's Bankai was more effective than expected, and Aizen genuinely expected to die from it. Once he transformed instead, he then thanked Gin for allowing him to evolve, playing it off like he had anticipated the whole thing.

You think that's messed up? Look at this post by AP Forums member "The Daz."
! So.
I was thinking about the arrancars the other day, and their origins. I remembered that gillians are loads of hollows fused together, adjuchas are made up of gillians, and Vastro Lordes of adjuchas.
That has to be a lot of hollows, I thought. That's bound to look bad on the shinigamis record I thought.
! So, bored, with time to spare and a calculator at hand, I got to work on just how badly Aizens posse meant SS had screwed up. The result astounded me.
! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Brace yourselves, this is the Grand Total Calculation Of Souls Lost Due To SS Incompetence concentrated in Aizens goons alone.
! Now, we start at the bottom of the food chain. Gillians are said to be made out of several hundred hollows, so I'm going to assume 500 hollows per average gillian.
! Adjuchas are formed by a gillian consuiming other gillians, but we are never told how many. However, Since gillians are made from hundreds of regular hollows and Vastro Lordes from more than 3000 Adjuchas (going by Grimmjows flashback) I think its safe to assume that the individuals required for the Gillian–> Adjuchas step is at the very least the same amount as the hollow--> gillian step.
! So, we assume an Adjuchas is made from 500 Gillians, making it a total of 500x500= 250000 hollows pr. Adjuchas.
! As mentioned, Grimmjows flashback reveals that consuming 3000 adjuchas- of increasing strength-was insufficient to become a Vastro Lorde. This is another assumption, but to me around 4500 Adjuchas or so doesn't seem out of order to reach VL, considering Grimmjows' Fraccions strenght.
That makes it 1.125 x10^9 Hollows per Vastro Lorde. A lot of you can see where this is going.
! Now, Aizens army was made up of the following menos:
! 38 Gillian (19000 hollows)
Aaroniero (Gillian + 33650 = 34150)
! Minimum 18 Adjuchas, including All Fraccion (If GJ's were Adjuchas, the higher ranked espadas' should be too), and 3 Privaron Espada.
Maximum 26 Adjuchas, including Nells Fraccion, Rudobone, the arrancar bitches and some Espada if we go by the minimum Vastro Lorde count (read on).
! Vastro Lordes: Kubo said that "most espada were vastro Lordes". This can be intepreted as everyone sans Aaroniero, or just "more than half". Considering his strength Wonderweiss is definetely one, and Luppi and Nell are possibly too.
So, at least 7 Vastro Lordes, and at most 12.
! This results in, are you ready for this, a grand total of 7880303150-13306553150 hollows.
Or in other words, a range of around 10 BILLION PEOPLE that shinigami failed to save. 10 BILLION MONSTERS whom the SS failed to take out, even with 2000 year old Yama around. 10 BILLION TIMES the SS has been late for work.
! But wait, let's not stop here! Everyone, what does hollows feed on? Souls! Even asuming that a hollow on average only manages to eat one person/shinigami, the amount of souls lost to shinigami incompetence doubles to 15760606300- 27013106300.
Or in other words, almost 30 Billion at the most.
! I would like to remind you all that the current population of earth, the highest it's ever been, is about 6,5 billion.
! Entire premise of Bleach, I declare you fundamentally, utterly, completely, irrevocably destroyed.
Aizen said he expected Gin to turn on him, and allowed it because he wanted to see how he would react. Gin's Bankai was more effective than expected, and Aizen genuinely expected to die. Once he transformed instead, he then thanked Gin for allowing him to evolve, playing it off like he had anticipated the whole thing.
Sigh…...guess I'll have edit that in, thanks.
Well, a limbo queue makes more sense than anything else I can think of.
And…. oh Kubo, the afterlife is both a combination of crapsack and incompetent to levels I don't have words for.
Kubo realy should not be allowed to use actual numbers or even estimates in his series from now on.
I do wonder though, are there Japanese wikis or something ? Ya know, a place where he could easily double check on stuff if he doesn't want to look through the volumes physicaly ?

Sigh…...guess I'll have edit that in, thanks.
I remember doing a double take at this because Gin could have literaly betrayed him at any point in the past, including before he even retrieved his Hougyoukou. Wonder what he'd do if instead of airlifting his ass, Gin'd grab the bastard's blade and slash him at the end of the SS arc.
im on Bleach episode 5 xD
