here's a wild guess….clown got no haki, and he cannot infuse haki in ice (in which, of all things, he chose icicle to stab a snow woman)...it doesnt matter if monet can activate her intangibilty automatically,...maybe the only reason clown can hold monet's heart is because of the box law creates to hold the heart, maybe monet does get hurt when her got stabbed...but i really dont it would kill her.

unless infused his weapon with haki....

maybe this is a weak example, but nico robin (without haki) smashed monet but monet reassembled herself.

and vergo will survive too i believe, no explosion happened....

either way, doflamingo will fetch them.

we might be disappointed when doflamingo just flies above the strawhats/law/smoker in the trolley and just gives them the "death stare" and then goes directly to save the two.

Wow, that was a great chapter yet so sad if Monet and Vergo really do die. Best part, Dof coming sooner than some people thought, looks like its going to be a Luffy/Law/Smoker V.S Dof, man what a battle that should be

Doffy should miss the crew and only retreat his underlings for the sake of story. I can't see a scenario where Doffy is able to overcom Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Law, Smoker and the other crew members altogether.

Monet's heart was a normal heart when she was stabbed.

I will be disappointed in Oda if Monet is actually dead. Death (to a named character) is a HUGE deal in the One Piece world, and as such should be handled very carefully. Monet's "death" was used as a simple plot device to stop the explosion; that's it. That is such a terrible way for a death to occur, as it not only lacked impact, but took such a delicate act (in One Piece at least) and had it occur to a character that, imo, really didn't deserve it. If anyone were to die in this situation, it should be Caesar and nobody else.

For me, the only way this could turn out well is if Monet somehow lives(her devil fruit saves her, or Doflamingo or Chopper save her heart, or whatever force or action that ends up saving Kinemon saves Monet as well), or it is revealed that Monet was behind everything and Caesar was only a pawn. If Monet really does die, then I won't truly understand the impact of death in the One Piece world anymore.

was kizaru aware that he was being shot in the head back in shabondy? or maybe monet learned to train her intangibility up to that level, since she was smart and she knew her hear was in other's possesion, she shouldve been ready at all times.

I think doflamingo will get there late, probably a few panels of his crew taken out, and he'll destroy the island in rage/he's gotta destroy it anyways. If island breaking isn't hype, then i've been reading the wrong series.

It isn't that unpredictable that he is coming to Punk Hazard. But if there is going to be a showdown or not is the big question. In my point of view, although i think it isn't that early, it isn't a proper scene for the fight. If Doflamingo wins, he will kill all of them. That which we can agree on from the vibe he has been giving and after all the talk he had in him from Law… In other case, which is what should be if we get to see a fight, with Law, Luffy, Smoker, Zoro, Sanji the power houses Doflamingo will lost. That would be a waste of a story and of a character, don't you agree? Oda isn't the type that loves rematches. So if we get to have a showdown with Doffy, i think Punk Hazard should be ultimate since we doesn't get to have rematches that often.

We might have this case that after the crew wins against Doffy there will be an argument if they should kill him or not between Law and Luffy, with the conclusion of Luffy's choice that he survives. Then we might get to see a fight with him again but i don't like this one a bit.

i really hope oda doesnt make the 'real' dofla fight here in punk hazard. if they fight and dofla actually lose, all his subordinates will be a waste. i want to see more of them. furthermore, monet said that dofla wants to be the pirate king, so i really hope oda make some sort of flashback about dofla and his reason to fight/live before he actullay got beaten by luffy.

the most likely case is something will happen that allows luffy and co to flee. then they will meet dofla again and fight for real later. either before, after, or during big mom arc (big mom + dofla alliance seems reasonable).

You know that a chapter is good if it starts with Franky kicking some ass without giving a damn about it, and if it ends with DD flying over the freaking ocean. Am I hyped? Very much so. Will the next three weeks be like torture? Highly likely. But was I left satisfied with this chapter? Oh yes.

I think we all seriously overanalysed Oda actualy starting to kill off characters because of Ace and Whitebeard. Seeing that Kinemon is pretty likely to make it and that opens up a much bigger door for everyone else to and well, I'd just wait a bit to realy make any kinda judgement.

after reading the thread i feel that dofla might be more than meets the eye. now i kinda hope to see him ignoring luffy and co and go rescue ceasar, vergo and monet instead. i never really like dofla because he is all talk and never really do anything, but if oda include this kindness and care about his nakama to his char, i think i can like him then. he was going to sacrifice his nakama because that's the only guaranteed way for him to 'win' from law and luffy but now that the plan is failed and he's already there in punk hazard i dont think he will just leave vergo and monet alone.

You're havin a laugh. Luffy has gotten stronger, but he's not THAT strong. DoFlamingo is a monster, he could take them all out on his own if need be, as well turning them on 1 another, making them fight and kill each other.

Really great chapter to end the year on. Cannot wait for this epic arc in the anime all next year.

I highly highly doubt Monet is dead. Not because she shouldn't be dead, just because this is One Piece. Come on people. PELL. He was face first with a bomb that was meant to kill thousands of people. He would have been cooked and blown to bits from the force of the impact that close. Zoro has been cut into and loss more blood than is humanly possible and survived. Those are just 2 examples. People don't die in One piece. And don't start with Ace and whitebeard, these were very special cases made to develop Luffy as a main character. I expect Monet to be up and walking very soon, and very alive.

Imho, Monet is dead. I mean, I could understand her living if her heart was still in her body, but its not. It's far away from her still trapped in Law's cube room and I doubt anyone but Law and Smoker know about it, so there's no hope for her. If somehow she survives, that would be one of the biggest ass pulls I would ever see in the series. I mean the only good way I think she'd be able to survive is if Don SOMEHOW found her heart and gave it to her in time, but I'm not holding my breath.
