YEEEESSSS!!! Someone else… on this forum... that's actually playing this wonderful GEM!
It's a popular as hell indie title, but I wondered what failed when it came down to exposing this game a little more on AP.
All my high fives dude! All of it!I actually first learned about the game because you posted something about the music somewhere… And I love Cave Story and Super Meat Boy and IWBTG and VVVVVV, so I figured I'd give this one a shot.
That fuck-up-your-save-file trap? Yeah. I already fell for it. Pressed the top switch. That'll teach me to never play without using a walkthrough, right?
But I started a new file and got back to that point in ~2 hours, so no biggie. ;D -

But ya. It's not your fault man. That was supposed to be fixed, and it's even funnier that the EU version didn't have that problem either. No big tho. Even if you reset the game once, you don't really lose a whole lot of progress. Progress actually comes down to knowing what to do, and as you replay you'd be surprised how short the game gets with knowledge.. whether you figure it all out on your own, or use a guide(which is sort of a must at times since hints can be very VERY convoluted)
There's also one more thing you can screw up, but that's in theory. I didn't put aside time aside to test it out, but it has alot to do with an item called the Angel Shield during one of the endgame areas. Aside from that, the other missables aren't really game-breaking.
-
Just got Scribblenauts Unlimited and have been playing that all day. Tried to make a Luffy avatar but didn't do too well. Need to read up on the best ways to make different characters with the editor.
Edit: I just noticed that nobody but Maxwell and his family have mouths. I guess I'll just get rid of that at some point since it looks stupid anyway.
-
I've been trying Halo 4 on legendary lately, and man it's so fucking unfair. And it really makes me wanna kill myself but whatever.Other than that I am still playing Pokemon White 2,some Skyrim to get ready for the new DLC and some Zombies in Black Ops 2.
-
Just beat Planescape: Torment. That game was absolutely fantastic.
-
I'm currently hooked on Professor Layton And The Lost Future. I previously thought that the Layton games were just these silly little puzzle games, but the third one has changed my opinion drastically.
-
Takeshi's Challenge.
Edit: And finished. Realy, just fix the fighting, and this would be enjoyable.
-
Lego Lord of the Rings. I was impressed with the Hogwarts Castle and Gotham City hub areas but….the entire Middle Earth (at least I assume so. Only playing Fellowship atm.) as a hub area is just amazing.
-
I actually got a chance to play my copy of Playstation All Stars Battle Royale. It's decent. I think it would be much more amusing when played with friends but my initial impressions are mostly good.
-
Just beat Gravity Rush on my Vita(F@#! IGN) and it was fantastic, and the Walking Dead finale was incredible and ME3 was a giant whumpf. Just ordered Persona 4 golden, The last of Us, Remember Me, Far Cry 3,Ni No Kuni, Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls and DMC 2013. Waiting on the Kingdom hearts 1.5 HD remix release for the west, if not my Japanese is decent so ill just get it from there.
Playing: Skyrim and looking for a freeze glitch fix for it.
Hitman Absolution is hard but nothing i cant handle. -
Black Friday sales landed me Borderlands two :3 pretty fun so far. My friends might lend me a mic so I can play properly though!!! Also got ratchet and clank full frontal assault since it was cheap and I needed an online game to play with the bf. hd bought borderlands for steam instead of ps3… But all our friends use ps3 so he's kicking himself for that now xD I have never played a ratchet game so... This will be new.

The puzzle creator in Portal 2 is addicting. That is all.

I've been playing my share of Chivalry. It's really quite enjoyable. The raging often adds to it as well.
-
sooooo, has anyone picked up Far Cry 3 lately? because this game is the shit, folks.
Awesome gameplay, intriguing story, huge world to explore, tons to do. Just recently moved to chapter 3 in the story, due to spending hours freeing radio towers, clearing camps, and hunting critters to make better gear (all of which are really quite fun and doesn't come off as being "busywork" imho). I have a feeling you could blow through the story missions fairly quickly if you have a mind to, but all the side missions will keep you well-occupied until you decide to progress further in the campaign.
Been havin an absolute blast since I started playing. I can't recommend this game enough.

Yep,Far Cry 3 is insane.I finished a couple of days ago and I must say it's my game of the year without a doubt.I played like 35 hours in 4 days and 100%'ed everything in the single player. The Co-Op is a bitch though because everybody sucks and they never play until the end of the mission,so it's gonna take me quite a bit to finish this part of the game. But,yea honestly this game is amazing.

shank 2
Batman Returns (Snes) -
So close to beating Serious Sam 3. Also downloaded and played some Planetside 2 but left after ther weren't too many people on the server. Was going to play Dota 2 but realized I didn't know how to play.
-
Got a Warhammer 40k Dawn of War key from someone and have been playing that. Never really been able to play an RTS games very well but this one seems playable for me. It's pretty fun. And I like the world the game is built on.
-
Pokemon Black 2. Beat the champ today, caught some legendary 'mons and currently I'm exploring some new cities. Compared to its predecessor- which I only played until the battle against Cynthia- it's quite fun to tell the truth.
-
Decided to go back to Banjo-Kazooie. It's just as good as I remember it! Only level that I've had problems with so far is Mad Monster Mansion, though I still have Rusty Bucket Bay and Click Clock Wood to go through.
Edit: Just beat Rusty Bucket Bay 100%! Just as annoying as I remember, but at least this time around, I got all of the notes before trying to get that infamous Jiggy behind the instant-death propellers, so even if I died, I'd have all 100 notes on my record.

currently doing some battling on pokemonshowdown.com
it's treated me pretty well so far, the battles are very smooth and pleasing on the eye.
i especially love how you can access replays of your battles. My first 3 wins:
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ou6238732
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ou6239068
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ou6262324
BTW, those sweeps with bruiser bull were totally unintentional.
i had no idea that my strategy would pay off so handsomely.
(giving him a choice band, which raises his attack by 50%, then having him use close combat.
the attack decrease is cancelled out by the choice band's boost, meaning he can hit hard for a very long time.) -
So using a little bit of early Christmas money I picked up a copy of Jet Set Radio Future that showed up at one of the regular used game store I frequent. I forgot how great this game was~
-
After a couple of tries I beat this mission in Warhammer 40k DoW. I found out later after getting trounced by ork tanks that there was a way for me to get mechs and tanks too. Also played JFK Reloaded.
-
Been a fan of the Total War series. Last game I've played from the series was Shogun 2 (and the Fall of the Samurai expansion which is almost a completely different game… an awesome expansion in that sense).
But I've since moved on to the older and cheaper, Rome: Total War. I'm completely addicted already. Hope the sequel coming out will be even better! -
Crash Bash for the PS1. Say what you want, but it's really fun and kinda underrated.
I'm trying to get perfect percentage (it goes beyond 100%) in adventure mode, by getting everything. Some of the challenges are really hard that I'm tempted to throw my controller out the window. And I'm doing it single player, so that makes a little tricky.
-
Tomb Raider Trilogy. On Anniversary atm. They're a lot more fun than I remember. I actually gotten stuck on some of the puzzles a few times. Hyped for the new one now.

It is definitely awesome. I haven't played it in a while though since its so much more fun in multiplayer. Though now you make me want to pick it back up and fly solo! I remember really enjoying the game where there are 4 goals and the object is to defend your own while scoring on the others. Good luck on the perfect completion!
-
the terribly flawed, almost nes difficulty worthy; Jak 2. maybe this games tag line should, be prepare to die.

That game is fun…..but probably the hardest of all the games. Especially the fourth one, Sky Balls. I prefer the game where you throw crates at your enemies and the one where you're in a tank.
But thanks!

If you get 100% you are my hero! Good luck….you will need it soooo much.

First off…..thanks, because the game's downright unmerciful.
Second.....I already got 108%! But that's what makes it tough. You think you're done, and realize, to your horror….there's still a shit ton of gems, crystals, and relics to get. You're forced to continue on, and the difficulty just rises and rises. It's honestly the farthest I've gotten, but it's sooooooo hard.
Whoever thought of
is a goddamn sadist. -
Couldn't decide what to play. Was looking through my collection and nothing was making any sparks. I have some great games coming for Wii, and 3DS for christmas. Like Last Story I'm pumped for.
Then all of a sudden I got a huge hankering to play Witcher 2. But low and hehold it happened to be the one and only game I own that somehow got lost when I ugpraded my computer. Must have been on a different drive than my other games. So now I'm sitting here wating for a 15 gig download, :(
Guess I'll watch some christmas movie on tv whlie I wait.

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward (3DS).
It had a somewhat rocky start compared to 999 which had me hooked from the beginning, but it just keeps getting better and better. I've finished Tenmyouji's and Clover's routes. K is probably my favorite character. Dio is a total dick.
! Quark's letter to Sigma was really touching.
-
Beat the first mission in Wargame: European Escalation. Didn't complete the mission of having none of my units die though, one of my reconnaissance trucks got hit by a lucky tank round and was immediately destroyed :pouty: .
-
Resonance of Fate agian. Definitely one of the more harder RPGs I ever played. I managed to pick up the Eagle Eye in Neverland, and with that, I think I'm going to either get the worst trophy in the Arena(beat 50 rounds, 10 times each), or go to New Game Plus so I can get a second Eagle Eye. Eagle Eyes are useful as hell since it gives me the chance to instantly kill 90% of the enemies in the game with a handgun…. thus making the arena's 2 times faster.
Aside from that, it was really interesting go through Neverland at low levels. The required sections in that area are downright brutal with hordes of mobs that can easilly one-shot the party. I could have grinded levels, but that would have been a waste of time since getting a Platinum requires 2 playthroughs. That, and grinding isn't my forte.
-
I decided to buy Kingdoms of Amalur.
And I decided not to wait for it to arrive next year, but to download it now and reinstall it once the legal copy arrives~ -
Bought Mirror's Edge because it was on sale on Steam. It's a game I've been interested in for a while, but never got around to getting. I only played a little so far, but I'm finding it mostly enjoyable. Combat mechanics are kinda clunky, and the cutscenes are awful. But the platforming is really well done and tons of fun. And that's the most important aspect.
-
Replaying Earthbound.
-
I've been playing Hotline Miami and I must say that this game is amazing from the music to the insanely fastpaced gameplay.I really recommend it.Only problem with it is that it can easily become really frustrating, but still insane game!
-
Donkey Kong Country 3. Yeah, I wonder myself why…
-
Minecraft, Far Cry 3 (because I want to know the definition of insanity), Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Pokemon White II, Dishonored, and, from time-to-time, Dark Souls.
-
my christmas haul of black ops 2, halo 4 and transformers: fall of cybertron. gonna be playing these for months.
all for the multiplayer, of course. -
pokemon black 2, finally.
-
Rayman Origins, Assassin's Creed 3, and Halo 4. I'll also be getting Sonic '06 soon (my brother got it for me as a joke - I figured playing through it would be hilarious), and I'm trying to play through Metroid Other M (though it's difficult to do so when every other word out of Samus' mouth has to do with babies. Does that get less frequent as the game goes on?).
-
I have a disgusting crap load of games that i have bought and either never played or beaten from the ps2, ps1 or psp era. So far Ive beaten ff1, ff2, and ff3. On to ff4 complete collection and boy was it a fresh change from the turn-based system. Glad its like that till 9. Then after raping the ff series, hopefully i can get around to rebeating the kindgom hearts series, xenogears, metal gear, and finally start playing the Shin megami tensei series. With that I know that gta V is going to halt this challenge though…
-
trying to finish pokemon black before i start on black 2.
i haven't been on this game since april, but thankfully i already had my 8 badges.woohoo, stomped the elite 4 with 2-3 of my team, mostly krookodile using "crunch" to 1HKO most of the ghost/psychic pokemon.
nice going there, "elites". having a whole team of one fucking type :Dnow for the N battle… oh wait, it's time to catch Reshiram? k.
oh sweet, i got it with an ultra ball instead of a master ball. feeling smug for some reason.EDIT: oh wow, N is pathetic. beat him without a single member of my team hitting low health.
(my guys are lvl 40-55, this shouldn't be as easy as it was.)Ghetsis was a little tougher though, so it balanced out i guess.
-
Legend of Grimrock. I have 2 mages, a rogue, and a fighter. Chose one of each race. Was doing relatively well until I encountered these stupid little mushroom things that spit poison. Killed me pretty quickly.
-
Awesomenauts. A MOBA that actually doesn't stress, it's like magic.
