It's more accurate to say Inoue has taken inspiration from the novel. I think at the start he was trying to just adapt it in some fashion, but before long it kinda became it's own thing with Inoue like making his ultimate grand "sports as way of discussing life and human beings" statement.

That's quite interesting. I wasn't expecting it to deviate to that extreme, especially not in regards to the philosophy of his journey. A little worrisome because I thoroughly enjoyed the tone and philosophical aspects of the novel but exciting in that it's new and I might even prefer this approach.

Just out of curiousity, how different is Vagabond to the popular Musashi novel? From what I've seen of Vagabond they are based off the same romanticised story of Musashi. I loved the novel and am, in future, interested in picking up Vagabond. I'd like to know if I should expect the same story with awesome pictures or some interested deviations.

Akainu is a fucking muscleman action figure on puppet strings, whose only connection to Luffy is a revenge plot that has nothing to do with the central conflict of the series,he's not the fucking final villain.

He's saying Blackbeard represents chaos. Then he says that you say Blackbeard represents freedom and is going to the final villain which would mean that the final villain represents the same thing as Luffy. And that that is stupid.

I'll just throw my simple minded thinking on it. Blackbeard and Luffy are both two sides of the same freedom coin. Blackbeard seems to be freedom by getting results. Luffy's freedom is the journey. A clash between the two would make a lot of sense as the pinnacle of the story. But the WG would also make a valid final villain. The moral ambiguity of what the two sides are fighting for would be pretty dope.

I wouldn't be surprised if the final villain was more of a multiple different sides in a fight, either.

He's actually saying that their actions are morally questionable and that's the whole point. It's not a simple matter of Luffy is right and the WG is wrong. The WG is trying to do what is right and realistic, which requires some sacrifice.

I mean, if you're gonna get pissy when someone apparently misinterprets your argument do your best to actually understand theirs.

People fear change is all. Once people stopped and thought about the changes they figured out that its pretty awesome.

Change also involves risk so there is a chance that these Pokemon games do fail. I don't really know what I think about them yet but I do appreciate that they are approaching it from a different angle even if I don't end up enjoying the result.

Bellamy seems pretty damn cool now… still hope he gets one shotted by Luffy

I thought it was well balanced until up around the 7th gym? Then it became an absolute joke, right up until beating the Elite 4 (Hardly elite…). If the levels progressed a little more from the 6th gym then it would have made for a smoother transition to the post game content from the Elite 4 and just made the whole thing a little more challenging without the need for a massive grindfest. That being said, I am a rather big fan of this game as a whole and especially the post game.

I'm also down to co-op with some peeps, as I've never played these games with others before, and I hear they're even better with a team.

It is way more enjoyable with friends. It just adds so much fun to the game. Lately I only really go through the new dlcs when me and at least one friend want to play.

I've been playing my share of Chivalry. It's really quite enjoyable. The raging often adds to it as well.

Weird question incoming (but I can't get a straight answer online)! How…vital, I guess the word would be, is online for Pokemon Black & White 2? Like... Will it hamper the enjoyment if I don't have access to the internet for a little bit? (Pokemon is seemingly becoming more and more dependent on online).

You'll miss out on Join Avenue (Unless you trade a lot with people offline) which has various, helpful features. Such as easier EV training, much easier egg hatching, daily raffles for a chance at a master ball and things like that.
You'll miss out on dreamworld which, in my opinion sucks but it's the only way to grow berries. I personally don't use it because I can't be bothered and berries aren't important enough for me to play a crap game on my computer.

You won't really miss out on a whole lot though, I wouldn't worry about it.
