kidd got exactly what he was looking for, somebody decorated his body like the punk he is
At least Kidd had the balls to go to NW without chicken out and training for 2 years unlike your favourite character.

Mental balls? Yes.
Physical balls? Questionable.
I guess you can decide whether Busoshaku Haki would make a sword sharper or not, but Haki has been used on many weapons to augment them and could make the Kuja's arrows go through rocks and buildings.
Haki seems to power things up, but when Mihawk's "most powerful slash" leaves Jozu without a scratch and Law seemingly just drops his sword on the chains and they're gone, I don't think we can accredit it to Haki.
The man can switch ur personality and literally remove ur heart without opening ur chest. And people r wondering how he can remove a cuff (Kairouseki or not)
The problem is that he didn't seem to use his power. He just straight cut them like it was nothing.
At least Kidd had the balls to go to NW without chicken out and training for 2 years unlike your favourite character.
You're totally right. After all, Kidd also lost his brother right before getting into the NW. He had to face an Admiral, a future Vice-Admiral, a Schichibukai, and a PX without the time to get strong enough before fighting them. He lost his brother due to his lack of power, even if he was showing a great determination… And, the navy knew him as the son of Dragon, and as the future generation of pirates. A pirate that showed that he had the Haoushuku...
If Kidd had shown this, then going to the NW would have been nothing but suicide.
Your way of thinking just doesn't consider all the things that made Luffy chose to train during 2 years... If he could have avoided this, he wouldn't have chosen to train...
So are we getting a chapter on wednesday?
I think Kid's alliance will go after the Yonkou who kicked his ass ( obviously not BM, since her didn't know who Eustass was ), and Law's one will go after BM. Somehow, their paths will collide, and only Oda knows what will happen.
The thing about Urouge-san is that his old bounty actually had meaning to it. It wasn't about how high it was (yeah, it was the lowest), but rather about the significance of it. 108 is considered to be a very auspicious number. It's a perfect 3 digit multiple of 3, among other math concepts that melt it down to 3, with 3 representing perfect balance or something. It's the number of beads they use on those necklaces the guy wears, it's the number of Liangshan heroes, and I'm pretty sure there are other reasons as well. I haven't really thought about this in over 2 years.
Long story short, he wasn't given that bounty because of his power level.
Having said that, this post of mine is veering off topic, so let's not continue this.
Yeah, i knew his bounty was 108 for his meaning, that's why it annoys me a bit people who say the power thing. It's also the number of temptations one must avoid in order to achieve Nirvana. I didn't know about some of the meanings you said, though
Ok ok i won't continue this, but it's hard not to talk about Urouge-san right now =P
Nope, one week later.
Yeah, it's a shame ( though is logical they do this at breaks ), but i don't care much. After all, this chapter is creating lots of speculation and entertaining theories, time will pass quickly.
being the first to join or the second strongest means jack shit on who is a first mate.
as i've already said,a first mate is someone who organizes the life on the ship instead of the captain..he/she controls that everyone get what he needs, that everyone do his job and similiar things…do you think zoro is able to do such things?Nami meets all the criteria to be called the "first mate" of the thousand sunny.
if luffy dies, probably nobody will be the new captain, and the crew will just dissolve, much like Roger's crew did.
Opinions aside, I don't know if we should be taking the definition of "first-mate" so literally. While I truly believe Zoro SHOULD be first-mate, I agree that it has not been proven well enough yet. I don't think any member of the crew has to follow exactly what the definition of the term says about a first-mate. Also, Nami does not meet all the criteria of a "first-mate". It's just that the roles of first-mate and of a navigator overlap each other in some ways.
@Devil:

Somehow, their paths will collide, and only Oda knows what will happen. I heard theories about Law asking Kid to ally him before becoming a Shichi because the latter said of what he said when he saw Law on the , but that's going to far and it's very vert unlikely to happen, i don't think Oda would do that ( also, 7 SN's together would cause a lot of heart attacks among fans xD )
Since it was said that Kid has attacked BM's allies I think he will go after her definitely. I just can't see him going after someone else. It might be the Law-Luffy alliance going a different Yonkou or both of the alliance will go after BM without knowing it. Whatever happes I know we are in for quite a show
P.S - Oda give us some Whitebeard Pirates love, please!
I know I have not had a post in awhile, but I had to come on here and speak my mind. This is what makes One Piece head and shoulders above its competition. Oda really does a great job with growing, exposing, and giving the light to background characters. Adding Kid, Hawkins, and Apoo in one chapter while showing off their character is something few mangas do. I don't know about anyone here, but I appreciate the little details Oda installs in his manga to highlight the bigger picture down the road. To even give Robin highlight doing the cage scene was impressive not because she was seen as a threat next to Luffy and company, but because he actually let's other characters shine besides Luffy. Most manga writers progress minor characters in a sudden unrealistic way, but Oda has been showing the growth and progress of his characters for years.
Now for the chapter grade. Solid 9.5/10. The only reason it does not get a ten is because no Black Beard sightings.
It's strange that no one noticed that both of Killer's hands have been destroyed. On http://www.mangahere.com/manga/one_piece/v60/c677/2.html you can clearly see that his right hand is robotic and on http://www.mangahere.com/manga/one_piece/v60/c677/5.html you see his both robotic hands. Maybe Kidd and killer fought an emperor who has some problem with arms :ninja: Shanks
The "first mate" thing is not a simple matter, otherwise it wouldn't pop up so often…
Other than a simple "following the captain" the Strawhat crew doesn't really respect any sign of hierarchy...but yes, Nami does act as a second-in-command most of the time. Here is a very significant scene depicting her role when Luffy was out of commission. Of course, some fanboys think Zoro is the series' main character, so it's hard to argue against them.
Disregarding the whole "Zoro is first-mate" debate, you can see on that same page that Sanji is taking orders from Chopper as well. Why? Because Chopper is the doctor and he knows how to take care of people. Nami is the navigator and she knows how to take care of the ship while sailing. It makes sense for Zoro to ask her about setting sail. There obviously is no possible way to make a conclusion with the present evidence about this, except for agreeing that none of them have any more control over the others than the rest.
Cutting flesh and bone and swapping things physical and abstract is a bit different to cutting something as hard as diamond.
Not really. Law's ability has made it clear that he can cut through anything, and its physical structure doesn't matter. He cuts up battleships and metal and everything, so why not Kairoseki?

It's not strange because they aren't destroyed. Those are the weird gauntlets that Killer has always used, he had them in Sabaody, they're just different now. If you actually look at those pictures, you can see his flesh fingers and whatnot. Not destroys.
I don't know if this has been brought up, but…
About those three prisoners with the generic weapons that Tashigi pointed out a while back. Do you think they'll fight them in the laboratory, or were they just pointed out to show that Caesar was indeed using prisoners as henchmen? They don't seem very significant or like they'd be that much of a threat, but they were named and given epithets so I'm just curious.

I noticed it, but I thought Kidd made it for him using use power so he could easily access his two curved sword.

Hmm not too sure about that.
Although I hope the supernovas do suffer some sort of a setback given how dangerous the new world is. Maybe they lost a crewmember along the way or Kidd losing an arm (unconfirmed). That's why the straw hats trained for 2 years…

Well, somehow there have to be more people to fight with all the person Luffy has on his side. I just await the Yeti Cool Brothers to reappear since the last couple chapters. xD

When was this? 16 chars.

I think they were only there to point that, i loved the design of Chappe, so i wouldn't mind if they appeared again, but they must be almost filler to the Straw Hats.

Ah, thanks. I didn't even remember that O.o

my favorite character? what are you taking about?
So the top 10 active bounties revealed so far are
1. Kid (470m)
2. Law (440m)
3. Jinbe (4??m)
4. Luffy (400m)
5. Apoo (350m)
6. Doflamingo (340m)
7. Pekoms (330m)
8. Hawkins (320m)
9. CC (300m)
10. Kuma (296m)
Correct me if I`m wrong.
Moriah is higher than Kuma, CC, and tied with Hawkins (and I'm pretty sure he's still alive).
@400MillionBelis:
Hahaha hell no.
Haha touche.
I guess what I mean to say is, I hope the people in the Black Market aren't all pirates. I'm hoping they are just criminals.

Technically Law, Dofla, and Kuma are all inactive due to their Warlord status.

Although it was never revealed in the manga. Ace's bounty poster was shown at the One Piece Art Exhibit in Tokyo earlier this year. It was revealed to have been 550m. The exhibit's production was supervised by Oda so the bounty amount for Ace is canon.
SO wonder who will save the kids if they manage to get outside

With "active" it should be bounties which still apply, so dead people's and Shichibukai's bounties should not be in the list.

Very true, but 3 of the 10 characters on the list were inactive bounties. I'm going to assume it was meant to be "listed" bounties rather than "active" bounties.

The only thing that really bothered me was that Smoker seemed too willing to help Luffy. I can't wait to see what Smoker will do after the Strawhats go crazy on Punk Hazard.

I don't think he'll pull anything, especially since Tashigi wants to save the children.

I'm sure he knows that if he doesn't work with Luffy for now, he might not make it out alive. What will happen after everything is resolved is going to be interesting.

Smoker will do the same thing like with the crocodile arc he will let them get away because he has to take the kids back.
Thats what i was thinking!

I am betting i](http://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece/676/12)t's gonna be kuro
I'm gonna tackle the big list of shadowy figures. Right to left, top to bottom.
Pekoms and Tamago. Easy, everyone knew this.
Unknown, but rather obviously not Hawkins, by this point. The chin shape is wrong, the sword is misplaced and the clothing is wrong. We can't even see the background, or what's held in the hand. I expect this one to be a Yonko subordinate we'll meet relatively soon.
Kid.
Shilliew. The chin shape is right, the lips are right, the nose is right, the cigar is right and his bulk is right. We never saw his hair, so that's not an indicator.
Rob Lucci. Hair is right, hat is right, drink is right, posture is right, and it even looks like the build is right.
Next three are unknown. Due to the details given, it seems likely that they are new characters. Direct your attention at their background though. Very 'dark' feel to it. Barebones, like they are in a warehouse.
Unknown. Appears to be at sea, though. The lantern hanging above him is the sort you'd see in a ship, and the screen for his projector was hastily set up.
Unknown. Not much we can draw from him, except that he's probably on land due to the stone architecture. Without even being able to see his face, the indication might be that he's someone we'll see very soon, to drive up speculation.
These two are unknown. Again, they appear to be on land, and as a wild guess, based on their fashion sense, I'd say they would be members of DoFlamingo's group. Barring that, the background is vaguely like Kid's with a sort of industrial feel to it.
Rob Lucci, again. I know, but look at him. Then look at the background. It's the same place and the same guy. You can even see the curly hair on his shoulder. One problem though, the screens appear to be different.
I'd love for this last one to be Gekko Moria. But the hair is all wrong. Ignore the problems with his sheer bulk and general shape. He could have had surgery performed on him to acquire a new, stronger body. The hair was nearly a trademark, and presumably most of his head would stick around as well.Oh, and I'm willing to bet that in the New World, in addition to the WG bounties, there are something like "Yonkou" bounties, which represent how much one of the Emperors want to kill you. We'll be introduced to the concept before too long, but it would help explain why Hawkins' bounty barely raised. He's been pissing off Yonkou instead of the WG.
I like your analysis except for the second to last image. The hat is not Lucci's, too short with too wide of a brim.
@Law:
Smoker will do the same thing like with the crocodile arc he will let them get away because he has to take the kids back.
It's likely, but it isn't the only potential outcome. Now that he has quite a few men under his control, he could potentially have his men take care of the kids, whilst continuing his pursuit of Luffy. Only time will tell
So, all the counter attack should be a shadow blitzkrieg, as Law and Smoker are dead men as soon as Virgo and CC discover they escaped !?
PS: I like how Zoro is letting the samurai play big, until the moment he will finally enter in action and the samourai will be like "WTF !?" :-D

Maybe Law changed the hearts and the one which CC thinks is Smoker's is actually Monet's. :ninja:
