AWW YISS
Hattori time.
Then it's Law time tomorrow @ o @
shame I'm gonna miss the match, by the look of things.
Like I somewhat missed his preliminary match due to… circumstances.
Still managed to get in and vote.
I think.

@Nia:
Oh, don't worry, Nami will win for sure.
If she doesn't … I'll get a pigeon costume and run through town to celebrate.
You need to win it now. Nami is Nami, but I'm voting for Nia here. And this guy who I will visit next week.
!

Now that's a dedicated Nami campaign if I ever saw one.
-
Nia, did you get excited and post the match too early?
-

Nah, I'm trying to get back to the normal schedule.
Besides, Hiriluk vs Calgara is pretty much decided already.

You ought to get that costume as soon as possible~

It's running really close though and far closer than you'd expect just based on the names involved.
-
How am I late to this, I'M SORRY!
/makes up for it
/on both boards too Hahahah!
-
@Kisoto: :DD
Oh, I know! Hattori should be teamed up with Monet from now on.It's running really close though and far closer than you'd expect just based on the names involved.
True, I certainly didn't expect it to be this close.
I had already prepared myself for a slaughter, like Hiriluk vs Calgara was. -
@Nia:

Who I need to bribe for that?
…
Ok tonight will also be very important day. We will do everything in our power to win match 31. By we I mean me and Lef (cause we teamed up in prelims for that, and working as campaign making duo ever since). Also I meant our friends, who were kind enough to help in our IRL campaigns. It's party time , what can I say!
-
I'm probably gonna miss the start of Law vs Kidd…
I'm so underprepared anyhow 8'D -
Dammit, missed the Hattori match ;n; voted Hattori because birds
But it's almost time for Lawfare! 8D -
Got lucky.
Not going out today.
Won't miss Lawfare after all…
...
...shit. -
I'm really curious how Law will fare against Kidd. He will win, undoubtedly. But by how many votes?
I mean this seems to be the character who really got it all this year:
- A great fanbase (even before the timeskip)
- No traits that people either love or hate (Sanji's hearteyes moments for example)
- A neutral design (opposed to Kuma or Jinbe)
- Plenty of panel-time, in which he formed an alliance with the Straw Hats and kicked peoples ass left and right.
- Character development, especially his past with Doflamingo is intriguing.
The only thing that could turn people off is that he is simply too awesome for them.
-
His fanbase is one of the most controversial ones, from what I've seen and heard. Some people are really, really turned off by what you could call overenthusiastic behaviour from some of the people involved. I don't think Law won't fare nearly as well as he could with more neutral people backing him as a result of that. There are also a few guys here who would argue that Law is in fact a rather bland and lame character. I don't know why, because I honestly don't sense any of that when I look at him, but that's just how it is.
All that said, however, I think it's safe to assume that Law will go all the way to the semi-finals before he starts having serious problems. The recent appearances and his design's strong appeal should propel him far even without all the campaigning effort.
-
with more neutral people backing him
Partially the reason of our participation. Not that I very deadpan person myself, but we kind of hope to balance out camp atmosphere.

I'm not sure what you are planning, but from what I have seen so far your stuff will be amazing. (tho maybe you should save it for the second round?)

We'll probably see how it's going and post accordingly. Don't want to boast though. You'll see for yourself
-
I'd love to see a close battle between Law and Kid but that won't happen. One thing is sure though- this will get bloody. '_'
-
It would be nice to have a 48 hour poll instead of just the normal 24 hour one so that more people can vote and it would mean the person making the polls can be less active so that they don't have to log on every day!

I just want him to beat kid because kid goes around killing innocent people while law saves injured people like luffy,

24 hours is plenty of time and more than enough to vote for one's favourite character.
On another note, so far 8 of 9 Strawhats advanced to the second round. Did that ever happen before?
-
Awww… oh well.
I'll still make the Hattori brownies just cause.
Congrats Nami campaigners~ -
Holy Hattoly.
-
Holy Hattoly.
… how come I've never used that. Seriously, what's wrong with me?
I'm so gonna use that from now on. -

Probably not, but the time skip has (mostly) given the Straw Hats a huge boost.
-
checks Nami vs. Hattori result
Hooray, Nami won! I've said it before, but I really enjoyed that match…...probably the hardest I've campaigned for! Hattori supporters and Nia, you guys did an awesome job. :D
-
Hehehe.
This is fun. -

Not counting Jinbe I take it. All of them, including Jinbe, advanced to at least the Second Round in 2009.
Besides Jinbe (First Round losses to Rayleigh two years in a row) and discounting Straw Hat vs Straw Hat matches, the only member of Luffy's crew to not make it to the Second Round so far was Chopper last year. He didn't make it through the Prelims so that doesn't really count.
-
Ah, son of a bitch! >:(
I can't believe Hattori lost!
-
I had a sneaking suspicion Law would take this match…
I just didn't expect such a gap.
You guys have done me proud <3 -
Now I can finally have some rest. I will be a spectator, surprise me! (Nodensuke, I'm looking forward to you)
-
I vote against the hipster and turn out to be the hipster myself. Sigh.
No worries. It will be a Lawless zone past Round Two.
-
I will make sure than Captain Usopp wins this tournament!
-
I can't believe Hattori lost!
Just you wait, if Oda keeps his end of the bargain Hattori will have a "recent appearance" boost next year.
And maybe, just maybe he'll get an easier opponent. I will not rest until Hattori finally gets to the second round. -

Did I miss something ?
Ah, no. Just forget what I said. I already said too much.
-
Why are you here and not getting your memory jogged in the current match, Nia?
-

I guess you could say I forgot all about it.
-
Oh, Nia, you clever rascal!
-
AWWWWWWWWW YIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS~
Victory = 3 = <3
I don't really have a victory dance for Law (…look in my signature, that should be enough)
So have one for Law from someone who sadly didn't make it past the prelims because of the Bennwagon running him over in a stampede of fangasming Bennies:

There was a 48 hour voting period for the final a couple years back. People got bored. This tournament is long enough (seriously, it lasts months . . .).
-
The greatest slaughter so far, Kidd with merely 28% of the votes.
Doesn't surprise me in the slightest that Law was involved.

I won't be suprised if Law wins this tournament, he have good chances

the lawfaring army is quite large…..its kind of frightening.... o.e

That isn't the only part of the whole Law thing that's 'quite large' if you know what I mean.
-
I'm already looking forward to the round 2 match-ups. Looking at the 32 contestants it promises to be a great round.

Indeed.
I'm curious to see who Law is pitted against.
Sadly, looking at previous years, round 2 is Law's unluckiest round, since he usually gets KO'd.
This year, lets make things different - lets get him to the finals! -

Imma be supporting zoro and law to, but instead of chopper im also a moria supporter!
round two will be intence -
Obviously I'll be supporting Robin mainly. And since I've recently taken a liking to her, I'd want to see Bellemere advance even further.
