Not sure if I get this part.What's dark or mature about Robin's new getup?:blink:
I was talking about the New World which is evidently a darker place compared to the first half of the GL. And to match that atmosphere it's completely normal to have dress-ups like Robin and Nami are wearing most of the time.
@Chopperrules:
Not bitching. At least not me. I'm just kidding around.
But let's not kid ourselves. Walking around in panties makes you a slut. But hey, I still love Nami and Robin regardless, so who's really complaining on my end?
Besides, no one ever said pirates had to follow the rules of society anywhoo.
That I can't agree on. If walking around in panties made a girl a slut then I'd have to contact some of my friends and outright call them sluts for sometimes only wearing panties. If you're talking about wearing panties in public, well then I'd still have to disagree since it doesn't necessarily make you a slut. The only thing it might be, is a questionable outfit choice.
@Sander:
…and what are the rule os pirate society?Did pirates historically walk around with as little clothing as possible?
No but pirates are notorious for not giving a shit about such things so they can wear whatever they want without caring about it.
@Unrequited:
Lol you've missed the point. It's not really about being sexy or fanservice or whatever. It's that the design is just awful. If it were just about skin, then more people would knock on Nami's too. (Or like you've mentioned, their clothing choices each arc for that matter) But Robin's? Heck I'm not even a fashionable person but I can tell that her outfit is tacky and disjointed under the guise of sexiness. It's like a bunch of separate outfits collided in Robin's closet, leaving hear to choose the four or five salvageable pieces from the tattered wreck of clothing. Granted Oda's a comic author first and a fashion designer second, so it's not a crime worthy of punishment or anything. But that doesn't make her outfit any less ugly.
And T&A isn't automatically a sign of darkness or maturity. Plenty of seinen play this shit up and actually end up making their series even more childish. Also no, I don't hate fanservice.
If you're calling her outfit ugly then I'm fine since it's a question of personal taste. But comparing her to hookers and the likes because of her outfit is retarded.
