Been playing Diablo III and Skyrim hardcore right now.
Is it bad…that I've been roleplaying a bit in Skyrim...and loving it?

Why would it be? It's one of the game high points after all) With those quest lines, making things up as you go, is pretty much all you can do anyway=)
Is it sad or pathetic that Minecraft is the first sort of new/current game I've played since 2001 ?
What exactly do you mean by new? A game you pick up close to release? That's not pathetic or sad, you are saving a lot of money.
If you mean any game released after 2001, then you're missing out indeed in my opinion.

Yes .
I'm not sure if you're a 'gamer' or not, but the game industry has been evolving greatly since 2001. Particularly the PC has had so many great titles in the last few years. Check out sites like gog or steam and you'll find something that'll interest you.

$ .
No monies? So many games cost less than 10$. Do you know about humblebundle? It's basically a limited-timeframe sale of mainly indie games where you can pay what you want.
I'm not sure what you mean. Either you can't afford even 10$ games, which I rather doubt, or you can't pay in dollars, which is really not a problem if you have paypal.
Hm. Your financial situation seems more important than your hobbies at the moment then. Meanwhile, there are a lot of F2P games which are really good, too (TF2 comes to mind).
Since 2001? Damn. Obviously money's more important but you could try emulating Gamecube or even PS2 games depending on how powerful your PC is. If you really don't wanna do anything illegal like that then I'd say you're going to miss out on all the games from 2001 to 2012 and the upcoming ones, too. For me the game of the decade would have to be Metroid Prime 1 which came out in 2002, I think.
You missed Half Life 2 too and many many other games.
If you have a decent computer I'd say go pirate a few games :ninja: .
I'm playing Metro 2033 again. I'm almost to the part with the Nazis and Communists which I remember being a pain in the ass because if you don't use stealth you're pretty much guaranteed to die. Can't play it for that long at a time since the atmosphere is so bleak. It's draining.

Is it bad…that...I've never gotten the appeal behind Valve games, other than Counter-Strike? Whenever I play a Valve game (i.e. Half-Life) I feel...weird, and, it prevents me from playing more than an hour or so. It's happened with Portal, it's happened with Half-Life 1 & 2 (and all Half-Life 2 episodes), and Team Fortress; Counter-Strike I can play for some time though.
Do you know why? That seems really weird.

Me and my friend were talking about it just the other day. I said they may be giving off a "campy feel" I'm not a fan of; like an old, 60's and 70's sci-fi movie feel. I don't really know…I can't really explain it... He gets the same feeling too.

That's why I see my complete obliviousness when people in depthly discuss these things I feel realy awkward for not knowing what the hell people talk about. As a result I turned to older games, but rarely anyone I ever meet up online knows anything about these or realy cares.
As for the other stuff, only ever tried and did Cho Aniki on the PS2.
Just 100%'d the treasure hunts after two straights months of Kid Icarus: Uprising. Time to move on to… Arkham City, I guess.
I decided to have another go-around in Metal Gear Solid 3D. This time I think I'll do a little more exploring and take things a little more slowly than in my first go around. See what new goodies I can find.
Also now I have the Patriot with it's unlimited ammo… Well, I suppose those testes aren't going to shoot themselves!
Just got back from my local GameStop to pick up my Pokemon Conquest. Just starting the game now~
Super MeatBoy, Lone Survivor, Sworcery and Skyrim.

Lmao I've watched my friends play that so much, or should I say, I've seen that movie so much. Hour and a half long cut scene?
Needless to say the whole series looks fun…my boyfriends friend was really upset this month when the online servers finally closed. But he stills destroys us with Super Smash bros Snake XP
Anyways I'm still Trophy Whoring Tales, but I've been playing an Online game I used to play religiously again recently. Pangya! Of course I'd rather be playing my childhood favourite online game Gunbound....but I won't touch on that subject unless someone claims they know of it xD Don't want to bore anyone.
Hour and a half is really an overreaction. The cutscenes are pretty long but I don't think they get anywhere near that length. And the online was incredibly fun so I'm pretty upset about it too.

The ending cutscene for one of them was close to 90 minutes, from what they told me. Or 70 minutes…anyway it was Yakuza level length cutscenes.
The fourth and the end of the second games are the ones that really have that problem from what I've seen. Some of 3's cutscene's can be a little lengthy, but it's gameplay to cutscene ratio is much better than those two, and it helps that the gameplay itself is incredibly deep. Never once did I encounter a scene where I was wondering ''and why isn't this playable?'' like I have with the Xenosaga trilogy.
And tormenting the mooks is just so fun! Capping them in the groin, pushing them off cliffs, drowning them, throwing them into electric fences, punching guys out with no reprecussons while disguised as their commanding officer, feeding them rotton food, cannabalism by proxy… It must really suck to be a guard in a Metal Gear game.
Batman Arkham City, man this game is great.
Still trying to plat Lollipop Chainsaw.
But I'm already done, just need to find some Lolli Wrappers and some named Zombies and beating a boss without getting hit by her attacks. No biggie, the most annoying trophies are already done.
Just downloaded/started playing Magic 2013 today. And, I'm still playing Skyrim and Diablo III. Though…I made a new character in Skyrim, one I'm more happy (to roleplay) with.
I think I'm near the end of Persona 3 FES. Just went on a date with Mitsuru on Christmas.
lol bots liking MW3.
Picked up Lego Batman 2 today. Seems rather awesome so far. Its usual Lego Romp buuuuut. It has Gotham City to explore. Always wished for the day when I could run down Lego People with the Batmobile.
Edit: lol. Love the commentary in the game. "At least the idea of letting all of the criminals loose in a walled off part of the city never came into fruition. That would never have ended well!"

MW3 is the greatest game of the last decade, obviously.
Just picked up Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door for five bucks, so I'm playing through that.
Good choice, Megadoomer.
Final Fantasy VIII and Crisis Core for the first time while waiting for Dream Drop Distance to come out.
Not liking VIII that much honestly, having fun with Crisis Core, although I have this odd feeling the game won't last very long.
More fun with Minecraft as i continue building my seaside village.
Today i built a Labyrinth right between my house and the Town Shrine, which used up all of my cobblestone.
Welp, time to go mining again.
Just beat Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 (still a long ass title). And all I needed to do is sink about 50 hours in to effeciently do it. Yay~
Skyrim.
Are dragons supposed to attack near big cities as well? And during missions which requires me to not be seen?

They're completely random and can and will bugger things up for you.

Okay then.
It was just a little surprising to me that the guards seemingly randomly started to look at the sky and shooting arrows. Then bam, dragon.
im replaying the old sega game called comix zone and i must say that im actually pretty impressed by the fact that i completed the game as a kid
I've been Skyrim recently as I am waiting for that Dawnguard DLC pack. Also,I just got Pokemon Black 2 which I'll be playing the next few days.

Yeah, i played it recently to. It's crazy hard, loads of cheap sections.
Anyways, i'm currently playing short sessions of Jeanne D'arc for PSP. Cleared the game, but trying to level so i can get a "certain" character back through an event.
Also playing short sessions of Pokémon Gold on my phone. And there is also Sly 3.. which i'm quite far in.

oh i miss the Sly games so mutch, i might buy a ps3 just to play the new one and the new one piece game

That's what I did XD
Sly 2 is my favorite game ever.
I never got into the Sly series, only Jak & Daxter here (and some Ratchet & Clank). =(
This was actually the first time i played the Sly series.
And i'm loving every minute of them.
I hope Thieves in Time will be just as good.
Finished Sword and Sworcery.
The end was touching sniff
I've been playing Psychonauts and Grand Theft Auto IV recently (my friend loaned me his ps3 and the game).
Psychonauts: Great game, I'm already at rank 100 and past the point of no return, but the shoddy camera kept messing me up in that platforming section before, what I assume is, the final boss, so I took a break. It's been about a week now, so I'll probably go back and finish it soon.
GTA IV: I'm impressed at how fast I lost interest in this game. After playing San Andreas to 100% completion, this one seems really bland in comparison. The missions are nowhere near as fun or ridiculous as SA's and all this trophy bullshit is seriously annoying. "Oh, you completed the Most Wanted missions? Congrats, here's a useless trophy and not the strengthened armor rating like in the past games!" I'm not going to get into the friends thing, since I'm sure everyone who's played through the game already knows about it all too well. Hopefully the two DLC (it's the Complete Edition) will prove a bit more entertaining than the main game…
