The only thing less realistic about One Piece's violence is that no-one ever dies. xD
That was until the Marineford war, with Whitebeard & Ace, and since then people are dying left and right….its no joke anymore.

Who died during the FI arc ?

Who died during the FI arc ?
That one guy with pincerlike arms who escaped the NFP and was destroyed underwater by rampaging Hody on drugs.
That one guy with pincerlike arms who escaped the NFP and was destroyed underwater by rampaging Hody on drugs.
He was about as relevant as Mr. 11.
I read that idiotic post on Bleach Asylum that was linked several pages ago. You know, when the post is filled with atrocious grammar mistakes, it's not possible for me to take it seriously.
I wonder how BA and NF see AP. In the same light we see them? Or we are even worse in their eyes? We don't have web 2.0 virtues of karma bars, post counters and giant flashy signatures that strain the eye.
Oh, I thought it was commonly known that APers and many OP fans are seen as elitist assholes who are not worth hanging out with. Or that's the word that has been going around for the last few years anyway, mostly due to the fact that some "heroes" from here have been crusading in those places, telling people just why their manga and their forums in general suck ass.
The last chapter is made even worse when you consider that Byakuya could have just killed those two Quincies from the start instead of showing off. That or he could have let Renji's relatively useless Bankai get sealed/stolen instead of Missile Sword Spam Technique.
One Piece top, shocking. Naruto 2nd still, not surprised. This is terrible news for Bleach. Outside the top 10 and way behind what it sold this time last year I think, despite the arc being as good as it is so far, still not selling in Japan it seems.
The current arc is exactly as good as it is, which is to say: not at all.
That one guy with pincerlike arms who escaped the NFP and was destroyed underwater by rampaging Hody on drugs.
I think the people on that ship were allowed to live so they could tell the surface world about how terrifying Fishman were!
@Naruto:
I already knew that. It's just I found whatever the new villians name is that he looked familiar to someone. Also there is a fact the we haven't seen Zangetsu in a very very long time.
Don't worry I wasn't implying you only just realised that, just taking a piss at Kubo generally.
speaking about that thread in Bleach Asylum this post is gold:
I have seen that Japanese readers rate those chapters higher which give depth to the story in the form of flash-backs and character development. They don't seem to have warmed upto these Quincy enemies because they know nothing about them. Kubo style of too much mystery seems to be the reason for lower ratings.
Yeap! pretty much this. Bleach character flashbacks / character development is always the best
I hope that Aizen with glasses guy with different hair color dies so that we can end that he is Aizen that got out lol!
Someone should make a bot and put it in this topic. It would randomly write, every few days, a new post with words "ATTACK FROM BEHIND".
Okay, enough stupid ideas, back to work…

Nope, he survived.

You just volunteered. You have my permission to, once every three pages, spam exactly that post.
I don't want everyone doing it, and it doesn't have to be exactly every three pages, (But not so often that its spam) but since you suggested it, you can. Just often enough that it stays fresh.
Enjoy your new role in the forum, and amuse us all.
Dammit. I decided to poke around Bleach Asylum because I'm pretty bored.
What did I just do to myself.
Nope, he survived.
Wait he did ? I sort of assumed that was the case but….did we actualy see it ? :O
Sasakibe.. not only he was a nobody and useless when he was alive, and now after his death, he put SS is in "danger" because of his wrong information regarding of what the invades can do to the bankais..

Hody said he'd let them live to spread the news of how powerful he is.

lol ok,

Give the poor guy a break. He got shot in the chest and had difficult breathing and speaking. It's not his fault that his only contribution to the plot was interpreted wrong by Yamamoto.

Kinda sad though. Lassie could apparently hold long conversations and people would know where the danger was…
Lassie was childish, BLEACH is so deep
Putting this theory out so you know who got it right first.
I hear you muttering "How the hell did these quincies all of a sudden get a hold of these bankai-stealing devices"?
Well the answer is simple: Urahara gave it to them.
Yes that's right, Kubo is setting this arc up to be the big "Urahara was actually evil"-twist. I wouldn't say he turned evil (it's not like Kubo to have completely evil villains), it's just that his plan inolves eliminating the shinigami for some grand purpose. How Urahara is the maker of this bankai-stealing device? Because he's a scientist! And he's a shinigami himself so he know the secrets to steal the bankai because he's studied it! Simple.
Now, he couldn't do it himself and that's where the quincies come into play. They are many, they are angry and they happily accept help from a former shinigami just to be able to kick some serious ass.
What more points at this? Well, just out of the blue, he tell Ichigo he'll arrange the trip to Hueco Mundo just when they were discussing it with Nel (he have obviously been spying on Ichigo since Aizen's birth or something like that). Urahara puts Ichigo in Hueco Mundo because he doesn't want Ichigo messing up his perfect plan of bankai-stealing because Ichigo's bankai is "special" or some other shit and can't be stolen as we've already seen.
So why does Urahara want to steal bankai and kill all the shinigami? Heck nows. Maybe he's tired of having these mass murdering snobs ruling the afterlife, or maybe it got something to do with the Soul King. Time will tell.
Don't come crying when I'm right about all this.

What the hell is this? There manga that sale way better than bleah yet they don't get a reprint.

Elitist asshole or dumbass illiterate. Take your pick.

I forgot about the Soul King. At one point I believed that Chad could be the Soul King, and him constantly losing was a big ruse.
Then I realized that Kubo would actually write something like that.
Chad is too Mexican to be the Soul King, all souls are Japanese
So is Chad half a soul under Soul Society law? If I remember right, he's half Japanese.
Chad's best bet is a soul transplant from a Japanese person
I'm fairly sure that Soul Society law has heavy Soul Transplant regulations. You don't want any undocumented souls coming through and gaining Japanese heritage illegally.
Lol they finally made a gif of this scene that probably amuses me a little too much
Aizen loves feeling up Ichigo's long black sword
Chad's best bet is a soul transplant from a Japanese person
No, it's the opposite. Like South Park said, Japanese people don't have souls.
Instead, they have this ungodly amalgamation of formality and uncompromising dogmatism. This is what they become when they die and enter Soul Society, which is actually a misnomer since, as I said before, they're not really souls. They just call themselves souls out of defiance and envy.
No?
What if Ichigo was a qunicy?

It's Chad who know all the soul music, too
@Naruto:
What if Ichigo was a qunicy?
Wouldn't surprise me - he's been a member of just about every single other group that this series has to offer.
@Naruto:
What if Ichigo was a qunicy?
Now there's a great idea. Imagine this: Ichigo begins the first chapter as a proud Quincy, and while he acknowledges that the remaining Quincy community members after the shinigami slaughter aren't the most nurturing and loving souls, he still feels he has to carry out his duty to obliterate Hollows. Then a Hollow that's too powerful for him to defeat shows up, and Ichigo is shocked when the cur shinigami Rukia throws herself in front of the Hollow to protect a Quincy. Rukia gives him her power, and he becomes the first shinigami/Quincy hybrid, caught between two different, warring legacies, but still determined to protect his family and his town from the Hollow menace.
For added dimension, let's say he wasn't fully aware of the tragedy of Hollowification, and that that Hollow was a friend he knew who died recently–that way he understands the importance of purifying them.
Wouldn't surprise me - he's been a member of just about every single other group that this series has to offer.
That's true and it got annoying. Every power up he got was related to a specific group.
I remember when this arc first started and that quincy guy that tried to take Ichigo's bankai. Maybe he couldn't take it because Ichigo was a qunicy.

Lol, that actually makes more sense than the actual Bleach story.

same here, im going to assume his latest powerup will be defunct soon enough if not already so theres going to be some trump card ahead. The quincy thing might be possible, but i get the feeling kubo is going to make ichigos mom a factor in all this, probably something like she was part of the soul society royal family and ran off with isshin. Now they have been watching ichigo all this time knowing where hes from and what hes capable of, haha its so ludicrous its perfect.
@Naruto:
What if Ichigo was a qunicy?
He'd be able to spam Black Death Beams from more than just his sword?

In that case, wouldn't he be the good guy?
Wow that was one of the stupidest things i've ever read. They all decide to use thier bankai because the enemy is so string the only option you have is to use Bankai even though it's a 50% chance it'll fail. YET you weren't even loosing that badly before. Did any of them even TRY using their shikai? And Not sacrificing Renji was seriously the dumbest thing ever. EVER
I thought it was obvious they only used Bankai just to see how it got "sealed" and think on a way to counter the "seal", not because the enemy was particularly strong.
@The:
Anyway, I don't claim to be a great military tactician, but the SS captains have completely lost me with their logic here. It's like…
if a general was trying to capture the enemys trench, only the enemy has some secret weapon that prevents it. The army don't know what it is, just that it kills a shitload of soldiers. Solution? Keep sending soldiers to their death no mans land until we work out a plan! And the general will join in! And 3 other generals decide on the same thing!This whole thing would maybe ring a little more true if we'd actually seen the captains at least try and fight without bankai first, an struggle. But the only one who got any spotlight was Byakuya, and he was actually doing well, so…..huh?
Clearly the Gotei 13 are great fans of Zapp Branigann and worship the amazing strategy he employed in his battle against the killbots…
Also, Sasakibe has no excuse for providing incorrect information, since Jiraiya managed to write up a code specifically meant for Naruto, which references specific pages and lines from one of his books, all while he lay dying (after reviving himself, to boot). Then again, Jiraiya was a great character who was actually developed, so never mind...
I thought it was obvious they only used Bankai just to see how it got "sealed" and think on a way to counter the "seal", not because the enemy was particularly strong.
But they knew their bankai would be taken, why risk their bankai when they were doing pretty good with their shikai.
