One of the coolest parts about Toriko is Komatsu's transformation from audience proxy to super-skilled Cheftimus Prime.

So apparently there's a _Sekimatsu Leader Den Takeshi_ manga volume coming out on Friday.
Released by VIZ? Being scanned? New editions available in Japan? I like details :D
-
They're releasing them in those "Jump Remix" things in Japan. They've done it with Jojo and a couple other things. They're just a limited edition version re-release from what I understand.
-
New chapter this week?

Since everyone ignored my previous post.
!
Is that a DF or not? -
Everyone ignored your previous post because: no, it's not.

Is that a DF or not?I don't think it's swirly enough in its patterns to be one. I'd be gun shy if I were them in trying to eat another "devil fruit"…first time wasn't so great lmao.

Why are there negative reactions to One Piece and Toriko's anime crossovers?
Most of the critiques I've seen have been about the animation trying to combine two different styles. I haven't watched it myself yet cause I couldn't find a sub version.
-
Why are there negative reactions to One Piece and Toriko's anime crossovers?
Because they aren't very good.

The latest one was bland. I put up a small review of it on the AP anime sub-forum.
@JarmenKell:Is that a DF or not?
No, it's not duck fat. It looks more like a Devil's Fruit.
P.S. Anyone know who is voicing Zebra for the anime?
-
@Kaba:

Ya,, apparently, it's this dude: Kenji Matsuda: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=54609

Well, isn't that an obscure choice of voice. You'd think a famous voice actor would get such an important character, but this guy is essentially a nobody… or is he?

Important? He's gotten the least amount of screen/panel time. Obscure is probably fine as long as it works.

Still, Zebra might have little panel time as of now, but he will definately play a major role further along the road, being one of the four heavenly kings and all…

Well yeah, later he'll be more around. But at the rate things are going that could be months away. And I'm starting to wonder what the longevity of this series would be. It'll be interesting to see where it's at a year or two from now.
-
All I know is that Shimabukuro needs to hurry up and give us a proper history of Toriko and the other kings and also Komatsu and his friends. This waiting is torture. And having the four of the together for that one chapter was SUCH A TEASE.
-
Just came to say that i talked with fellow Toriko fans on tumblr of the lack of a forum for this series, and one of them created this forum right now. Would be nice to see some of you there ^u^
I`ll keep coming here as well of course ~

Thank you.
! Hope we get to see them eat the Bubble fruit this chapter. ho, that last page looks like food honor taken to the extreme. (the creature has no meat left)
-
Kewl has posted the newest chapter: http://hiwamatanoboru.com/
Second half is pretty trippy.
-
Who were those people on that vulture?
-
I think that small lady is either Chin's long lost partner who's gone evil or…I don't know. That Toriko copy guy must be a chef and that gargolyle / Blanka-ish guy looks cool aswell.
-
it's toriko's evil twin brother!
-
Thanks for the releas Kewl. This arc is definitely better read in bundles, I think.
-
That Toriko look alike could be Jerryboy. He does look like Toriko.
-
Disappointed that Komatsu didn't get to go with for the Bubble Fruit.
-
So, the Bubble Road must not really be that long right? Its all in his head and that's why its the ultimate test.
-
Does anyone here still watch the anime? I stopped about 5 episodes in (because of Tina and censoring) but i suddenly got a desire to try it again so can someone tell me how is the anime right now? Is Tina still in every episode and did Toriko lose his arm or did they censor that too?

Next episode will be Toriko meeting Melk I. Also no, Tina is pretty much out at this point.

Interesting, maybe as soon as he stops thinking about it, it will magically appear before them.
-
That's great to hear. Is there still censoring?

I got confused by that scene lol. I thought Toriko was hallucinating himself on a vulture…then I noticed he's got weird skin in some spots. But the other reason I thought it was Toriko was because that giant..."person?" looked like his intimidation aura when it gets visualized.
-
I know Staayun, Sani and Midoara arent't cousins, and it's not like Coco and Tabimaru are siblings…
but the guy on the vulture better have some relation to Toriko. I mean, come on.
-
Yep the monster guy looks a lot like Toriko's intimidation too.
-
Actualy that woman looks like the silhouete of the person Chin was talking about as missing.

http://toriko.wikia.com/wiki/Chiyo dunno if it's offical or not.
EDIT: just checked the silhouette: http://www.mangapanda.com/toriko/181/7
it's pretty much 100% her. -

it's pretty much 100% her.I really wish there were less people in this series that looked like a humanized penis lol…
I'm 99% sure it's her though. That one percent is still hoping for Mickey Mouse.
-
I hope all these power ups/abilities get some organization later on, and placed in some kind of system.
Kind of feels like they are coming from nowhere.
First there was Food Luck, then instinct, and now Food honor.
-
that consumed vulture is friggin awesome
-
Anyone else concerned about Komatsu's desire to create living dead continously animated abominations ?

Meh, it's a natural part of growing up.

Everyone needs a hobby.
Think that the guys at the temple will be decimated, then Chinchinchin will fight Chiyo, Toriko will fight that creepy looking yoga guy and Komatsu will maybe, ok not really fight the guy with the knives (I think thats knives at least.).

So Chin will fight with his partner, Toriko vs his intimdiation in person and Komatsu vs Toriko 2? Sounds interesing.
-
Maybe we sould call him Tworiko.

The guy who looks like Toriko could have some connection to Toriko's past. That might be interesting. But his eyebrows, eyelashes, and a lot of things are different. The appearance of Chiyo probably means something interesting.
The crossovers are filler episodes, which is probably why people don't like them much.

Don't bother responding Kewl. This "guy" is most likely just another account of the same spambot we've been getting for a couple of months now. This is the first time he's said anything ontopic, but even then I guess he just did it thanks to the person in charge trying to conceal his identity, after like the twelfth ban. But all the signs are there, bad english, almost complete lack of posts, with the only posts made being vague as hell, and usualy in the introduction section, plus the sig with all the random links.

I dunno, kinda liked it.

I wouldn't mind finding out that Chiyo has joined the Bishokukai. We know Setsunon turned down their invitation, but it's not out of the question that another legendary chef said yes. Her reasons? Perhaps the chance to be the only second chef in history to prepare god? Jealosy over how despite being the chef in her combo, it was her partner (the hunter) that got the title "Gourmet national treasure?"
As for the other two, I can't say anything about the guy in front, but the one in back could be a powered up Bei. Be interesting to see how Toriko reacts to actually meeting the killer of Terry's mother.
