So I have been reading Fishman island arc again(for those who hated it for its pacing should try reading it at one go, they'll love it) and there is the scene where the Straw hats meet up with Jinbei and there is kind of a big deal about apologizing to me for what Arlong did to her, now I don't remember it correctly but did Franky ever apologize to the straw hats as a crew for nearly tearing them apart and beating the living shit out of one their crew members or even to Ussop, did he give a heartfelt apology?
Did Shanks ever say he wanted to be the pirate King, because in retrospect it would be kind of redundant like saying after Luffy becomes Pirate King and somehow dies, Chopper will form another crew and also seek to become the pirate King?
The last time the Straw Hats had a ton of money some really interesting stuff happened, What they are going to do with the obscene amount of treasure they have?

Same for you.

Franky and Jinbe are very different personality-wise. Franky probably thought that his actions in Enies Lobby and the construction of the Sunny were enough apologizing. Jinbe is a lot more chivalrous than Franky and he was only friends with Luffy. He didn't know about what Nami had to endure back when she was Arlong's underling, so he made a big deal about it.

Shanks never said he wanted to be Pirate King. He just wanted to form his own crew and be a free man.
The last time the Straw Hats had a ton of money some really interesting stuff happened, What they are going to do with the obscene amount of treasure they have?
Probably lose it in a stupid and/or hilarious way. Nami won't be amused.

.
Yeah I get that but still Franky never actually showed remorse for his actions right, for example they all knew that Ussop was sorry for his stunt but he still had to actually say it

Well, the Straw Hats are pirates, so Franky at least had an excuse to attack them. Usopp, meanwhile, abandoned the crew for selfish reasons, so he had no excuse.
If the Straw Hats cross the Red Line, will they arrive home? They already cross the Red line once, so of they cross again, they will arrive in the backyard of their homes???
Please enlighten me…

The difference is that they are in the Grand Line now, so while they are near East Blue, they are still in new territory. I suppose they could just coup de burst over the calm belt and visit their hometowns if they wanted to, but that's probably not gonna happen.

Thanks for reminding me of the calm belt protecting the Grand Line ashamed
Its nice tough if they can go home and have a reunion first before coup de burst again to Grand Line :D and go to Raftel.
!
I am a little confused by this. The heaven splitup was caused by simply the clashing of the guys' strengths? Or was haki responsible? in that case, could CoA haki(which should probably be responsible for it in the second case) have that big an impact?

They were near East Blue in the first half, in the New World they'll be between North Blue at the north and West Blue at the south.

Probably just ambition in the vaguest sense. I guess it was for us to acknowledge what happens when two of the most powerful people in the world clash. Two people with the most powerful ambitions clashing against each other caused even the heavens to split, and it doesn't really cause the main crew of both ships to be worried. Perhaps it's something they've seen before?
Just a quick question. Where does it state that Zoro is a supernova in the manga? I know the chapter where the Supernova are being introduced, but not Zoro.

It's when Shakki is talking to them in the bar, she talks about the pirates with bounties over 100 million and of course Zoro is one of them.

How much does Franky weigh?
It looks like he is about 2-2.50 meters high. And pretty massive. So I would say somewhere between 150-170 Kilo's? Though the Metal parts would probably increase his weight a lot. So perhaps almost 200 Kilo's?

You're right, my mistake. I didn't realize which side of Reverse Mountain they came down. They essentially made a U-turn.
In the Skypiea Arc, there was a person fixing the Going Merry during the night near the altar at Upper Yard. Only a silhouette of the person was shown when he or she was fixing it.
Is it ever revealed who this person is?

It's a Klabautermann, at least that's what Franky says: Chapter 351, pages 16-18
It's*the Klabautermann of Going Merry. Essentially, both posts above me are correct.
This might be a stretch, but check out Whitebeard's cape here 20 years ago: http://mangastream.com/read/one_piece/89182735/8
Vs. Whitebeard's cape today: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110507092015/onepiece/images/thumb/0/05/Whitebeardfighting.png/543px-Whitebeardfighting.png
The pattern on his cape 20 years ago shows up a ton on some very prominent people (the latest being Baron Tamago, further explanation here: http://peacetheory.wordpress.com/chopper-fun-and-short/thoughtroll/#Pattern1)
I've looked at all the Marines and at the more powerful people in One Piece but I just wanted to see if anyone had seen it already/more instances of that pattern? I really like how we've already found Rayleigh's old cape on Mihawk - it would be really awesome if someone else had Whitebeard's!
Is there anywhere to read Chapter 0?
What exactly are awakened zoans? The ones in impel down did'nt seem humans to me.
@Donkey:
What exactly are awakened zoans? The ones in impel down did'nt seem humans to me.
They haven't exactly been clear, but my theory is that these are animals that have eaten their owncorrespondingfruit. Like, the Rhino ate the Rhino-Rhino fruit.
This is based on what I recall of an SBS when it was asked what would happen if a human ate the human-human fruit, and the answer was that he would be "enlightened."
I would like to know how is it presented in japanese. Because from my point of view, when Crocodile calls the demon guards "awakened" zoans, he is just saying that they where zoan users who got KO'ed but woke up fast because zoans have high physical endurance and recovery skills.
The Japanese name literally translates to "Awakened Zoan Transformation". What Crocodile explained doesn't hint at all how they became awakened in the first place. It's as much a mystery to fans in Japan as us.
I was just wondering now the Straw Hats finally going to enter the New World will Chopper's bounty finally go up ? and how much will it be ?
I mean if he he get's to fight the C-5 Marine Branch they will actually report facts to HQ's where with fights in Enies Lobby and about all other places things where never told clear to Marine HQ's.
But with Smoker around they probably only try to escape them as soon as possible but if they realize that he is more than a talking pet than it has to higer by quite some right ?
the Joke of 50 was funny at first but if the Marines see that they where wrong it wouldn't fit anymore as one of Oda's running jokes.

Could make for a funny interaction
G-5Marine: Hey look, the Strawhat's pet! Let's tame it, we'll torture it until it obeys us!
Monster Point Chopper: CHOPPER SMASH!
I expect Chopper to go out of his way to get his bounty updated. Same goes for Sanji.

Although it seems everybody has settled on "Mr.", wasn't Pekom's title when the Minister of the Left introduced him as "Sir"?
Why the hell was Ace trying to kill Whitebeard with a knife and an axe when he could simply try to burn him from a distance? Watching Ace jumping on Whitebeard with his knife, while being in flames, seems so fucking ridiculous when he could just be sitting in the corner throwing him a fireball, fire lance or a fire blast…

That's lame and WBs Haki was probably too much for his fire anyway. The knives and axes were just more sinister and awesome.
I think it was to show that Ace tried everything to kill Whitebeard but couldn't succeed anyway.
What are the chances of there being another sercret unit similar to cp9 existing in the new world (a unit who are skilled in a superhuman fighting style that far surpasses Rokushiki)?

Ace already knew that his fire powers wouldn't work. After all, it was his fire that he used to fight when Whitebeard first appeared when Ace was fighting Jinbe. Ace ended up knocked out. He is smart enough to know while , yeah he was exausted from fighting Jinbe, he still saw the fire faield to kill to Whitebeard. So Ace tried to use other methods to kill Whitebeard.
While the flames couldn't kill Whitebeard, Ace still used it for other means, like when he used it to travel when he had that axe, since his legs were transformed into a pillar of fire, he didn't cause footsteps that could have awaken Whitebeard up. But that was a moot point since the big guy still sent Ace flying using his power while asleep. Since there were no quakes so I think his haki warned his subconcious and it sent a bout of haki to send Ace flying.

What do you mean his fire doesn't work on WB? So if Ace caught WB on his sleep with a fireball and WB didn't do anything the fire would just disappear? And anyway i don't get this kind of logic guys… What is more difficult for WB to handle a punny knife or a freaking fireball?
Why would a fire-man try to kill someone with a little edged weapon when he can burn anything to crisps? When Ace tried to kill him with the knife, WB simply punched him away... I wonder what he would have done if Ace launched a huge fire attack on him... Of 'course he wouldn't die but it wouldn't be so easy to deflect it like with the knife.... So why the fuck did he tried with the knife?

Well think about it, he was trying to be discrete about it, a sneak attack with the knife. I doubt any other crew members would have allowed him to make that Entei thing he used against Black beard. It's nice to see characters with amazing abilities use common weapons, Arlong using a gun against Bellemere VS Shark Arrow or any of his other natural abilities is just so much cooler. Not to mention the nature of fire attacks and explosions in One Piece can't kill anyone.

What? He was going to be discrete about killing WB? I don't think so… So this means that not only he wanted to kill the number 1 pirate, but he also wanted to get away with that... I don't think so.
But even if he was trying to be discrete, i don't get why he couldn't be with hsi fire attacks...He could easily throw a Fire Lance at WB's head without anyone noticing. I am not telling Ace standing in fornt of WB and doing an entei but a small but powerful fire attack would be 10 times better than a fucking knife. Come on man are you seriously trying to convince me that Ace cannot silently kill someone with his fire powers just because everytime he does an attack he screams the attack's name?
Arlong used a gun because it was the easier thing to do. Why use Shark Arrow to kill some fodder? Are you seriously comparing the 2 scenarios? In the first scenario Ace is trying to kill the world's strongest man with a KNIFE, while in the second Arlong kills a much weaker than him character with a weak weapon. The first scenario seems very illogical while the second is absolutely logical.
And about your comment on explosions and fire attacks, this means that Ace cannot kill anyone right? Explosions don't kill when the writer doesn't want them. If Oda wanted a charcater to die, he could easily die from Ace's fire attack or big explosion. Everything can kill or cannot kill if the writer wants it. There is no rule telling ''in One Piece people don't die from fire attacks''.
Good god man Ace used a knife and an axe. Apparently he thought it was a better than his fire, get over it.
Ace thought slitting WB's throat would work better than trying to fry him which failed multiple times at that point.
So I was going through Luffy's flashback again and I noticed that Dadan has the same necklace as Ace had, is it the same?
Was the term Supernova Shakky's invention? or did the marines actually call them supernovas?
Would it be possible that during Zorros training he never crossed swords with Mihawk but he rather used the Baboons to teach?
Do shanks and Buggy know where one piece is and how to get at it?

I think it's a title given to the 11 super rookies that arrived at Sabaody at the same time.
And considering that Rayleigh knows it, I would assume that all of Rogers crew knows where One Piece is.

This is a place where question are asked. If you don't like it then don't read it. Saying that Ace just did it because is not a logical answer and i have the right to ask questions about things that seem illogical to me. We are all One Piece fans but i can't ignore how ridiculous it is to see a man who can manipulate fire trying to murder someone with a knife. So i asked to see if someone here has a logical explanation… So far it seems that there isn't any other than ''come on man knifes are cooler'' or ''apparently it was better than his fire''.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Ace thought slitting WB's throat would work better than trying to fry him which failed multiple times at that point.
And why is that? Stating something doesn't make it true. So i am asking again is there a LOGICAL reason that Ace thought that killing WB with a knife would be better than burning him alive? Using his fire powers instead of a knife is easier, less dangerous because he would be out of WB's range and much more certain to kill him.

After Ace basically tied with Jinbe, you don't think he tried to flare blitz everything? He got his but whooped and tried other means. Apparently he figured his fire wasn't going to do much and thought a physical blade would be better. Then he tries to sneak around in the middle of night with a knife. Just put 2 and 2 together, he must have came to the conclusion that his fruit powers were not going to cut it because after the first unseen battle they obviously didn't.
Just because it doesn't follow your logic don't get all heated. Why didn't Croc use some sand attack from far away instead of his hook on Whitebeard? Who knows?! Croc felt the need to use the hook. Besides it's pretty cool when a character from a story can use magic powers but results to do something all too human.
