I really wonder if the guys were being busted out. Maybe 4 if they want, but Daz and Croc were pretty mean.
We'll see and yeah i dobut the prison changed them at all. Has it been shown where this prison actually is?:unsure:

I've been trying to figure that out myself. It's a pretty happy-go-lucky miniarc until you consider the fact that several of these people are assassins and one of them was willing to kill millions of people to get what he wants. If they let Crocodile out, then what? The Baroque Works Pirate Crew? Crocodile opens his own theme park? Sure, he's pissed at the Straw Hats, but he's also got a grudge against Alabasta and it's probably a lot closer to him than the Straw Hats are right now.
Anyway, how'd you like to be the guy who has to tell the Gorosei the news if the Baroque Works prison break is happening at the same time as the Battle of Enies Lobby?
Well, I gotta give this to Oda.
That's a hell of an ending.
I'll be seeding that torrent for a little while, by the way.
Well, besides them being bad, Crocodile tried to have Valentine, 5, 3, and I think Goldenweek killed for their failure. Bon got into a fight with Daz.

Barring Doublefinger and Merry Christmas telling them about it, there's no way that they would know about any of that, which might not matter anyway if Mr. 5 is looking for the men while Goldenweek and Valentine get the women.
I can't see them not getting Mr. 4 out and the other two could always just follow them out of the cell if nothing else. Miss Goldenweek doesn't seem the type to just strand them either.
Hmm, no Ms. Monday or Mr. 7… does that mean Oda actually killed someone off? ^^;
Anyway, great chapter. It didn't surprise me that three-headed Baskerville was 3 dudes in a suit... Oda has some weird stuff in one-piece, but a three-headed man? That's a little TOO bizarre...
Spandam's expression when Rocketman comes crashing through the courtroom is priceless. I hope it crashes right into him and then slams into the GoJ, knocking it open.
I don't think Croc, Das Boness or Mr. 4 are gonna be freed. What reason would they have to free them? Croc is a dangerous and violent man who essentially used all of them, Das Boness is a friggin assassin who busted up Paula's bar, attacked Bon-chan, among other things, and Mr. 4 is kind of a strongman/dope. I guess I could see them freeing him, but if Croc was freed, it would create a whole new plot element/problem.
@Fire Fist:
Hmm, no Ms. Monday or Mr. 7… does that mean Oda actually killed someone off? ^^;
Why would they be there ? :huh:
Well actually I think that the Baroque Work are all in trouble.
Mr5, Valentine and Goldenweek can't do much more without real help and i mean by that croc and daz.
So if it was my choose, having croc, daz and all the other on my side is still a better chance to survive than be alone…
Hey thank battle franky for the chapter. Your the angel of god oda :P
For those who don't know yet, Stephen's page has a translation already.

My guess is that the miniarc will end with all BW agents being captured. Somehow, I believe Hina'll beat Mr.2 and then appear at the Marine outpost just in time to prevent everyone from escaping. Of course, with a little help from Jango and Fullbody.
Damn, stephen has been doing these extra fast…

Crocodile dried out Mr. 3, and Bon was the assassin sent to Little Garden. Unless he likes the prisoners more than the people he's working with, he'd probably tell them, since Crocodile likely wouldn't be too forgiving.

Perhaps, but my favorite suggestion is Croc opening a theme park. Or a circus. BW coule be one hell of a circus troop.:biggrin:
"They're coming!!!!"
Spandam sounds like a panicked Gandalf. LOL
But anyway, another great chapter from Oda, I had a feeling he was gonna set it up like that before the real big fight (calm before the storm, heh). We get to see the rest of the female Baraque agents (Oooh, DF looks sexy in prison attire), the FF and Galley-La finally defeat the jurors though I have to admit I saw the Baskerville's secert coming a mile away, meh. And it looks like the Pluton plan literly went up in flames. About time we saw some sign of shock from Lucci, Kaku and Calpiha especially when she mention their "five years of work" down the toliet. They say the greatest tactic is to take away a person's prize, heh Go Franky. And lastly everyone's grand entrance into the tower XD. The Rocketman ain't dead yet.
So next time, big 400 (YAY!) and the TRUE start of the CP9 fights. Thats also the time for another colorspread right? Oh I hope Oda makes it big.
Also love thar spread of both groups with the Straw Hats gearing up. Very nice.
Spandam said that they're taking Robin to the Gate of Justice, does this mean that the fight might end up at Impel Down or the Marine HQ?
This is just a wild guess…
Sadly no color spread, that's been confirmed. But abuout the fights….
Maybe it'll be like on the sea train-Robin is at the top of Judicial Tower so the SH's have to get up, maybe the fights along the way will be on different floors as they move up. That A: Gets the battles spread out a little timewise and B: Allows for some arena edits during each fight. Plus I think it would be cool.
Why would they be there ? :huh:
Because they are also Baroque Works agents that got defeated. I mean if Hina is hunting leftovers then a) they must be also targets, b) they aren´t because they are dead or c) they are captured already. Seeing it that Smoker captured Mr. 11 I don´t see a reason why they should let Mr. 7 and Miss Fathersday get away.
On the topic of the major players of BW I agree with everyone that said that Crocodile and Daz somehow have a too dark aura for the everyone else of BW that appeared in this side story so far. I really can´t imagine Goldenweek or anybody of them to be satisfied with having Crocodile running around lose. It might happen, but it doesn´t seem as it fits together very well.
What I´m hoping for (though it sounds very whack) is that if even Crocodile and Daz escape that they will be catched and defeated by Blackbeard which would prove that he is capable to hold the position of a Shichibukai. By my book Blackbeard will already be a Shichibukai before he confronts Luffy, which means he should have to take down another big fish. And Crocodile would be actually the best for this situation. After all Blackbeard is aiming for Croc´s former position. So what better way he has to prove worthy of it if not defeat the man himself. Just like Ric Flair always said: "To be the man, you got to beat the man!"
Excuse me, but i can't find the translation, the site says "You know where to get it :]" and, onestly, i don't know where :/
I liked how the roles of FF and Galley-La are more fleshed out, and how Cocoro finally showed her true feelings…
Cocoro: Rocketman's still got plenny'a juice in 'im!!
Don't messh with the legendary TOM'S WORKERS!!!
Amazing. I know that her drinking and solitude were enough of a pointer of how she felt about Tom's demise, but it's still good to know that she's not totally down and is willing to stand up.
Well, I think there will be a chase, and one by one, CP9 will leave a member behind to stop the Strawhats. Each time, that member will be met with one of the Strawhats until Luffy catches up with Lucchi, and then Franky will stop Spandam and save Robin…Then Robin will hold Spandam in the flourento clutch hold while pulls off the covering on his iron hand....

IMO they were already captured or how else would the Marine know what Zoro did at whiskey peak? And since that happened much earlier on Grand Line HIna probably had nothing to do with it. Not to mention they're weak and unimportant so i see no reason why they should be put together with these guys in this facility.
OH YAY!!!!!! Good going, Franky! BURN THE PLANS!!!! ^_^
Wow, Spandam push Franky off. o.o
Dance Go, Rocket man! GOOO!!!!
also i think we might've gotten the line ups, but a bit differently from what was posted above what i see is:
Nami->ZipperMouth (Fukurou)
Zoro->Kaku
Luffy->Lucci
Usopp->Jyabura
Sanji->KabutoGuy
Chopper->CaliphaSo we have Calipha getting a Zoan to fight chopper, Kaku prolly a Paramecia (maybe a Logia!) to fight Zoro.
Robin would probably be kidnaped by Spandam, and they had to chase her after they are done with the fighting. Also Franky could chase her….
Sounds interesting to me, but i really want to see a full-scale Battle Royal
:ohmy: Zoro is fighting Kaku?!?!? awesome!!! ahhh! calms down ok… now to see the chapter/scanlations.
thank you for uploading guys!

Well yes, then this should actually explain your first question as to why they should be there.
Yay, HQ + Translation = <3
Great Franky action. :wub: I don't get why people are saying there's not much going on here, there's almost too much going on IMO. So if the plans are burned, what then? Are there perhaps other plan hidden somewhere that the government might be after, or will they be forever chasing Robin as the only means to revive the weapons? Ouch, that sucks for everyone, especially Robin. That somewhat takes Franky off the hook, though.
So Bakersville was just three guys stuck together all along? XD

Remember the weapon still exists. But now the government would have to get Robin. Go to the ponyglyph and make her tell them where it is.which isn't going to happen.

That's exactly what I said. They'll have to keep chasing down Robin, if not just of the fear of the Strawhats reviving the weapon themselves.

Correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't Pluton suposed to be a weapon to defend against the weapon Spandam wanted Robin to awake?
I might be a little confused here :(
I think we'll see Luffy(with Franky) chase after Lucci and Spandam with Robin to the Gate of Justice where the final battle will take place. Luffy wants to take out Lucci and get Robin back and Franky still has a bone to pick with Spandam. This gives us a chance for some Franky/Luffy interaction and allows Luffy a chance to get to know what Franky's really like. The fight will likely take place at the Gate of Justice so that Luffy can send Lucci through the gate with his final blow, taking the gate down as per what Cocoro said earlier about the gate several chapters back.
Oda is a master of building anticipation without it becoming a boring distraction.
Keeping the story building like this only means the climax of this conflict will be that much more satisfying. The aftermath of this arc is probably what I look foward to most of all. Especially if the Strawhats receive the world recognition they deserve afterwards. I would love to see all of the people from their lives reading a newspaper with the heading "Strawhat and Crew Declare War on the World" or something similar. I wonder how each would feel knowing that their loved ones are closer to become very infamous pirates.
Baskerville being three people was just… random. Their reason was even more random.
I do wonder if the sidestory will show the other agents that didn't make an appearance during Alabasta. Mr. 12 is already dead (or was it 11? not sure), so that leads to... seven agents, I think.
@HTC:

Pluton is the weapon Spandam wanted to revive. Isn't the weapon to defend against Pluton called Poseidon?
Great chapter on a great day
Franky is so brave! to be able to take out the cp9's treasure,flip through it in front of lucci and kaku's face (sort of like a na na nah you can't have it) and then burn it in front of seven armed assasins takes a lot of courage.
Then spandams reaction to the whole thing is priceless, he's furious at this action probably red in the face and seem's to push franky off without a seconds hesitation. Frankys face is full of shock and disbelief he truly did not see that coming.
I agree with Ivotas, about the situation after they free crocodile. It seem's to wrap everything up in a neat little package:
Crocodile is free
gives blackbeard the chance to join the shichibukai
and presents a way to see how blackbeard's skills match up with crocodiles. Maybe in a new mini arc intitled BW vs the blackbeared pirates minus Ms.doublefinger,Ms goldenweek,Ms wednesday,bon clay ,Mr.3 and Maybe Ms.merrychristmas.

**Spandam wanted to awaken Pluton. And there would be no way for Spandam to know about POsieden.
MY thinking is that in ancient times posieden was created to counter Psoieden or vice-versa.**

omg i totally agree! so much truth in that, s'all i can say nod
How do you know that Spandam wouldn't have heard of the Posiedon? I thought the government knew about all of them.
He probably would've tried to get that as well if he knew (well… probably).
Who's to say he wouldn't try once he had Robin to decipher poneglyphs? :P
Meh, fair enough. I think he would've mentioned it though if that's what he was intending (again, that's just me).
I also agree to Ivotas. At first the idea of Baroque Works escaping was worrying me, but the idea of Blackbeard defeating them is amusing. I would like to see that.
Sloppy seconds. Crocodile already got his ass kicked…he doesn't even have his hook anymore. I dunno how much of a rep booster that would be.
He still has his Df and nobody could touch him literally.
This chapter was great.
What Franky did was great, that musta really pissed cp9 after seeing what he did. Those 5 years and it was all for nothing. Its no less then what they deserve.
On the topic of Ancient Weapons, Pluton and Poseidon are both weapons that have been built long ago and that are hidden right now. Some of the Poneglyphs tell their locations. The Arabasta Poneglyph tells Plutons location, the Skypiea Poneglyph tells Poseidons location. There probably is even more of them hidden but these are the only two that have been confirmed so far.
Reviving the Ancient Weapons means that if you want to have them you just have to pay attention as to what the Poneglyphs say about them. Robin has already two times (in Arabasta and Skypiea) proven that she doesn´t care for the knowledge about the Ancient Weapons.
As far as the Blueprint Pluton is concerned. These are the blueprints of the Pluton that was already built and is described on the Arabasta Poneglyph. The creators of that original Pluton just feared that if their creation (or any other Ancient Weapon) gets into the wrong hands, then the "correct" hands would need their own Ancient Weapon as an countermeasurement.
In other words, if one already existing Ancient Weapon falls in the wrong hands and the others can´t be found, then the blueprints are needed to built your own Ancient Weapon as an opposing power.
That´s the whole deal about the blueprints. It´s to make your own version it the already existing one dares to oppose you.

No matter how I look at it, ever since Crocodile appeared in this side story I was worried. No matter what happens if he escapes it will just ruin him even more. If he escapes and chases Luffy just like Buggy does then he loses a lot points in terms of class. The reason why Crocodile is so popular is because he represents pimpage and class and his arrogance came from his idea that nobody could defeat him.
If he now becomes Luffy´s chaser, then all this attributes that made him popular are gone and he becomes a revenge seeking moron with a minority complex. Not good.
If he however escapes and gets defeated by Blackbeard, then his pimpage status suffers also. If the main protagonists of the story surpasses him then it is still good because it boosts the status of both of them. But if he becomes the bitch of the next best villain then he gets completely ruined. So the Blackbeard thing is not a good idea either.
The only that could keep him the pimp he is, would be if he doesn´t get freed after all. I doubt that this will happen but I´m sure hoping for it because it wouldn´t make him appear any more defeated then he is now. As long as he doesn´t get out of the cell he stays as he is. But as soon as he leaves it he gets ruined. Unless of course he leaves it to be taken to Impel Down. Man I wish Crocodile would have never appeared in that story after all. :sad:
I just read this chapter in the OP MSN scan site and I'll say good. This can be a perfect ending for Volume 41. Franky's crying in page 14 is tad weird, looks like it came from the earlier chapters (1-22)
And Usopp's lower jaw is the same. Oh yeah, Franky told Luffy Usopp is right next to him but Luffy did not care.
Is it me or is Oda reusing the same formulic Franky crying/Spandam shocked face? I can understand why he has to have the Rocket Man fly over again.
Where will the RM land? In the front door? In the top floor where the CP9 are? Let's find out in chapter 400
I think Luffy knows Sogeking is Usopp. It's the way he acts around him, really-he's just acting like it's Usopp (wish I could say that better.) First there was the way he gave the order and now ignoring Franky's telling him flat out….I think he knows.
And I still say my battles-up-the-tower theory will pan out.

Well, Oda can do that if he wants to. Not to sound "MY WAY" but it's true.
And do you even know what a pimp means?
Crocodile is not prussuring any woman to have sex with him
It appeared as though Franky said that to himself, Voodzik.
And yeah, Ivotas, that's why I don't really like the idea of Blackbeard beating Croc.
@joekido:
And do you even know what a pimp means?

Of course he knows what a pimp is. At least he should. but when people call other people pimps they don't always neccarily mean he is has a room full of girls to have sex with.
