I reread the whole series from time to time, I've never reread separated arcs.
I even have rewatched the whole anime without fillers more than once (I'm mad)
Favorite Arc/Saga
-
-
Enies Lobby, best fights in the entire series.
-
The one I reread the most is Post-Enies Lobby arc (Volume 45)
That volume contains loads of amazing informative chapters.
-
Enies Lobby/W7 arc. Especially volume 40, 41, 44, and 45.
Arabasta takes a close second.
-
Sabaody, Impel Down and CP9
CP9 is not my favorite arc, too much fight-oriented in the last part, but that's exactly what makes it so good to re-read. The other two are simply that amazing.
-
I love re-reading flashbacks, especially ASL.
-
Best adventure - Skypeia
Most emotional and suspense - Water 7/ Ennis Lobby
Best villain arc - Alabasta with Croc
Most badass - Marineford -
Laboon-because it was fun short and magical. And it turned into a big meaning now.
Plus,I was deprived of it in the 4kids dub….
-
Arlong. It was a fantastic arc and quite short. My overall favorite arc is Water 7/Enies Lobby, but they are too long to read too often as a whole and still quite long to read separately.
Even though I have really liked One Piece from the start, what truly made me love the series was Nami's "Luffy, help me" scene in the Arlong arc, so the arc also hold fond memories to me.
Thus, the volume I have reread the most is no. 9. -

Thus, the volume I have reread the most is no. 9.I actually had a similar experience when I was just starting to read One Piece. The first few villains(Buggy,Kuro, and Krieg) were decent but seeing Arlong defeated was the most satisfying payoff(With that, I'm saying he's the best villain in EB) because he was directly involved in Nami's past and present.
@Spah
I just reread Thriller Bark and I agree, it's quite entertaining the second time around. The moment that stood out the most was when the crew, after hearing Franky's story, realized that Brook was one of the nakama that Laboon was waiting for. It just made Brook's late flashback and joining chapter better and heart-warming. -
Skypeia and Water 7. Not Enies Lobby, just Water 7.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Ennies Lobby has the best fights in the series, but Thriller Bark is the best on terms of adventure and plot.
I know that this is a nicey nice opinion thread but Jaya/Skypeia beats Thriller Bark in terms of adventure sevenfold.
-
For some reason Whiskey Peak never gets old for me.
Its like five chapters of Zoro having the best day ever, and then one of the funniest moments in the entire series (Luffy vs Zoro). -
I love Drum because it has just as much emotion and adventure in it such as big arcs like Alabasta, Skypiea, Water 7, and Thriller but is able to be done in just 25 chapters. The cherry blossom scene at the end…
-
hmmm…this is a real toughie..... id have to say that saving ALabasta was the longest and the most reread for me.......but the one i like re reading the most is Jaya/Skypiea...... i mean was that not epic when luffy punches bellamy....i mean seriously its like oda-sensei went out of his way of teach fodder its place....... the 2 things i thought at the time was 1) (open-mouth-aweSOMENESS) and 2)WEOOOH WEOOOH...........and jus hopin 2 medics would show up with a stretcher........the current ac however has some interesting stats fpr me anyway......coz everytime a chapter releases i reread from chapter 596........ so thas quite a lot..........

Sabaody has so much re-readability. Try it sometime. It just never seems to get old.
I usually reread snippets from, in this order: 1. Sabaody, 2. Skypiea, 3. Post-war arc (those 8 chapters after the Sabo flashback).
Sabaody's setting is just crazy; I try to say, "Hmm, I could have thought of that," when I'm reading stuff because I want to be a writer in the future, but there is no way in hell I could have thought of Sabaody's environment. So first you have a beautiful setting where everything takes place. Then, the Supernovas are all introduced at once, the hardened pirates of the Grand Line that we always knew were there show up in one place and add some serious future conflict potential for the Straw Hats. The way they're introduced is just… classy. There really doesn't need to be much more said for this arc.
I've already said my piece about Skypiea multiple times in this forum. Favorite arc, with Sabaody as second.
The post-war chapters are all incredible, chaotic chapters. I was lucky to start reading weekly right when those started. I must admit that they set my expectations rather high, however.
Oh, and re-read Impel Down if you haven't. I didn't like it much at first, until the later parts, and loved it to bits the second time. I just love the entire concept of it, and realize why some things needed to be as silly as they were.
Also very much like the post-war chapters as well as the post-El chapters. The world-building aspect in those chapters makes them fun to re-read, same for Sabaody, Jaya and to a lesser degree Water 7.
-
Little garden arc was amazing 4 me, Dorry and Brogy fight , Elbaf mentioned….
-
In manga, the arc I re-read the most is Jaya + Skypiea, as it is my favourite part so far. It has everything I like about One Piece in it. Plus, the art was at its best then IMO.
In anime, I think my most re-watched arc is Drum. It was a perfect adaptation, and TOEI pulled their A game during that arc. The mood/atmosphere was perfect.
-
I'm a big fan of Skypiea, Thriller Bark and Shabondy and Fishman island.
Those to me have the most feeling of adventure. All the others are kind of a generic island fight boss type. Fishman island didn't have the best story in terms of ADVENTURE, but the island sure was neat.

Those pain-stakingly drawn backgrounds. Sometimes I cringed at just how much Oda was putting in there, considering it was a weekly format. I loved all the details and how consistently drawn it was. Ryuuguu Palace is a favorite of mine. Fishman Island's personality was kind of forceful, but she sure was easy on the eyes. I'll probably go back to her sometime, but I'd need a break in between sessions because of said forcefulness.
-
Skypiea. But I believe Fishman Island will be the one I'll reread the most. I reread it 2 times and it hasn't even ended. Oh, and the beginning of Water 7, its just pure laughs.
But Skypiea is for me the best arc… In the anime it didn't strike me so much, first time I read the manga as a whole I felt in love with Skypiea. The story is just set up perfectly. And I smiled from ear to ear when I found out what those shadowy monsters were... Also I loved Robin's words to Wiper, they say everything about why Luffy is my favourite character ever, and why I love One Piece.
I think Fishman Island is a tough contender, tough. The story was also neat, and depending on the finale it might be the greatest arc of One Piece.
-
Arlong park because it was very moving.
-
I agree on Whiskey Peak. It's a really quick and fun read.
-
Water 7+CP9+Post-Water 7. I think it´s the saga that flows together and wraps up the best. Separately these arcs don´t work nearly as well as together. Second place has to be Fishman Island so far for some weird reason that I can´t pin down.
-
I like to re-read the smaller arcs that set stuff up and the flashbacks
More specifically, Whiskey Peak as a set up for the whole Baroque Works saga, and the chapters at the end where the straw hats chill with the king and royal people. Jaya as a set up for skypeia. The first few chapters of W7 that deal with the Franky Family and Usopp leaving. The chapters on board the Puffing Tom (this is mostly because I love the jokes and interactions between sanji, franky and sogeking, who is introduced for the first time). The post-EL chapters starting with Merry's funeral. And then Sabaody. The rest I haven't reread much due to them feeling relatively recent.
As for flashbacks, I like rereading all of them. I especially feel that way about the chapters involving Otohime … I'll reread that flashback many times in the future once this arc is over.
-
Enies Lobby Arc, i love seeing the SH Pirates as a whole family
-
arlong park and enies lobby, all the emotions felt so real.
-
I'd also say Arlong Park. The Chopper flashback on Drum was also great, though, ending with one of the most memorable quotes ever.
-
Well i have reread all arcs countless times, but volumes 25 and 45 most. 25 contains the introdution of Whitebeard, the 5 heads of the world Goverment and stuff about Shanks and Buggy. And also the meeting with Warlords and Sengoku.
45 is kinda same. There is the talk Shanks and Whitebeard and Ace vs Blackbeard, and other old characters reacting to Strawhats new bounties.
I think One piece is as it's best when it tells what's going on the world, not just Strawhats story. -
Well for me its the cp9 saga casue its so goddamn epic. I also would like to reread the Whitebeard war arc.
-
For me, I love to reread Whiskey Town because it was hilarious and great, as well as short, Skypiea because of the fun adventures in the arc and it also got Eneru, one of the best villians I love in One Piece, and lastly, the entire CP9 series because of the awesome fights in it.
-
Thriller Bark <3 I just love this saga. Brook joins, Pellona appears, Zoro and Kuma, Robin hearing things she shouldn't hear (as always! xD)… I just loved it, and I enjoy every time I reread it.
-
Skypia hands down. Awsome holiday adventure story.
-
Fisherman Island arc is definitely becoming one of my favourites now! XD Re-reading it all again makes it so much better!! And the anime is actually handing this arc very well! XD XD
I also loved the Water7/EL Saga, the ID/War Saga and Arlong Park!!
I didn't like Foxy and Skypiea apart from some chapters
-
The Skypeia Arc was the best arc in One Piece. I swear, I have never been more satisfied with a story arc in any piece of literature than I have been with that arc.
However, I usually find myself rereading the Buggy arc, the Whiskey Peak arc, and Baratie arc. I usually just watch the anime, but never re watch/read most of the arcs. If I do read, that will usually be the first time I've read it.
-
Some of the arcs I like to reread are those post-arcs that we learn things and things are bing setup, like the Post-EL Arc and the Post-War Arc. I also like to reread the cover arcs while skipping the regular chapters when I do so so my attention's on the cover stories.
Also, after the Fishman Island arc and the implications of this chapter (and especially when it becomes official that Fishman Island is Luffy's territory), the Arlong Park arc has probably moved to my favorite arc (to re-read) because the Straw Hat Pirates' (and especially Nami's) first exposure with fishmen were bad (and even Jinbe was implied to be bad as well) and yet now, they are the fishmen's protectors, first from the coup and now Big Mam. The Sabaody arc is also good with this theme because Hachi becomes their friend and they saved him and Keimi from being slaves and learning about the other half of this discrimination between races. And the Fishman Island arc will become a favorite of mine to reread.
-
Arlong, Little Garden and Drum. I remember a time before the Viz speed up when I was caught up with releases when I was up to Volume 14 and I just kept reading that particular volume til the next release. Those were simple yet frustrating times :/
-
Part of me wants to say Little Garden, simply because of 3 and Goldenweek, but the arc as it is isn't that good.
Part of me wants to say Alabasta, which is one of my favourite arcs, but the pacing is pretty off, and it's way too long.
I have a feeling that the Big Mom arc will become my favourite, the characters (especially Tamago) seem pretty fun.
Though as it is now I probably have to say Alabasta.
-
Thriller Bark is my favourite arc! I love the whole horror-that-isn't-really-horrific theme and the general tone of the entire arc. I'm sure there's something else there that made me really like it but I can't remember it… My second favourite arc is... hmmm, it's a draw between Impel Down and the Whitebeard War arc (the actual fighting -- I guess they can both be considered as part of the Whitebeard War arc). I loved the enemies in Impel Down (like the Blugori, those weird, scary animals with weapons and the wolves) but seeing lots of famous pirates fighting was also pretty good. Grrr... Akainu... xD

Thriller Bark is my favorite arc to reread fo a few reasons. One of those reasons is that I love Brook as a character and I think that Oda did a great job introducing him into the story and introducing his dream. Another reason is that I think the whole setting of the arc was very unique to One Piece. I felt like this was the first time that Oda made a realy dark and creepy setting. My final reason why I love Thriller Bark is Moria. I felt like he was a good antagonist, not the best antagonist but a good one. His Kage Kage no Mi was really interesting and I felt like Oda did a really good job developing the power. I'm not going to make the agrument that Thriller Bark was the best arc because in my opinion it wasn't. But for my personally taste I found it the most entertaining and memorable out of all the arcs.

I pesonally didn't really enjoy the skypeia arc that much, but i did really like the enies lobby arc :)

I love re-reading Impel Down/Marineford because it's just a non-stop, action-packed, emotionally-charged race against time. Oda masterfully weaves emotional depth and character development in the middle of a war zone, which is accurately portrayed as chaotic and overwhelming. The only real breather we got was during Level 5.5 (the image of Luffy drowning in poison is still chilling.) It brought back all the old villains in a brilliant move to keep them relevant to the story and give Luffy some surprising new allies. It had the return of Bon Clay and his amazing sacrifice. It introduced future crew-member Jinbe. It contained the first major present-day deaths, and introduced my favourite Admiral and villain, Akainu. It put Luffy through hell and taught him some valuable lessons. It really set the tone for change - eras coming to an end, new ones beginning. It cemented Whitebeard as one of the greatest characters, and despite his and Ace's brief appearances, their deaths were devastating and tragic (still tears me up to this day.) Oda is brilliant at getting you attached to these characters in a limited time.
As soon as Elder Nyan told Luffy his presence would be like a leaf blowing through a storm, I knew it was going to be incredible. I love those impossible odds/zero chance situations against unstoppable enemies (like Akainu and Magellan) where all you can do to survive is run for your life. But, true to his character, Luffy went for it anyway, and it was inspiring to see him face off against all three Admirals at once.
To top it all off, the heartbreaking flashback of Luffy's untold childhood deepened the tragedy and made for a bittersweet epilogue. So I guess you could say I liked it (end of gushing.)

For me, it's a tie between Thriller Bark, and the whole Shaboady/Impel Down/Marineford arc.
What makes me like TB as much as I do is because I felt that Oda's unique character designs and settings were at their best. I'll admit I was a little put off by Brook when he first appeared, but after re-reading it, he became one of my favorite crew member. Even if I already know what happens, the chapter where he tells Franky and Robin about Laboon gets me every time. Moria, my favorite Warlord is another reason I like it, because he's one of those characters I can never get tired of.
The second one I chose is another one I've reread a couple of times. The sudden change in mood in each arc was completely unexpected, but refreshing. One of the highlights was the crew being forced to separate after Kuma stepped in, because it was such a dark turn of events that told us things were going to be different. Amazon Lili was pretty fun, too. I like how after the complete downer at Shaboady, the plot gets a little lighthearted again with the women all being fascinated by Luffy,, and Hancock falling head over heels for him. It's like Oda was giving us a bit of a breather to prepare the upcoming events. Impel down is always such a thrill, mostly because we get to see Luffy teaming up with the villains he beat before. My favorite part has to be the climax where they're all trying to escape while Magellan is chasing them down, since it's so chaotic, yet fun.
And then, we get to Marineford…Where do I start with this? It was nice to see a lot of chapters focusing on Whitebeard right before Luffy arrives. The fight to rescue Ace had the right amount of drama, suspense, and action to warrant rereading. And of course, we can't talk about this arc without mentioning the biggest jaw-droppers that we've ever seen.
-
Volumes 42, 43, and 44 are damn-near perfect to me. It starts with the rocketman crashing into the tower of justice, and ends with the Going Merry's funeral. There's so many highlights from these three, it's not even funny. Monster Chopper, Franky vs Fukurou, Diable Jambe, Zoro vs Kaku, Usopp sniping like a boss, the Buster Call, all of Luffy vs Lucci, the "This isn't hell!!" speech, that final Jet Gatling, escaping with the Coup de Burst, and then that tear-jerking finale.
holy shit I'm going to re-read them right now.
-
Jaya/Little Garden or Skypeia. You'd have to PAY me to reread that debacle of an arc called Fishman Island.

I've always thought Fishman Island would translate better when being read in volumes - or bulk, rather than a chapter per week. shrug.

No, I've read nonstop since the completion of the arc. The flow of the arc, the transitioning from the action packed fighting of Zoro v Hody - to Luffy v Decken were wonderful; however, you also have the rapid flow of the arc coming to a COMPLETE stop when the flashback occurs.
Then, after the flashback, we get Luffy v Jinbe (The fight we've been waiting for, with decent buildup might I add) is reduced to ONE fucking chapter. And not even that! It's as if Oda wanted to go somewhere with the fight then suddenly said "Uph, my bad. I don't think this should happen!"
Don't get me started on the Noah and Jinbe fiasco.
Fishman Island should be pushed to the back of our heads, and Oda's doing a good job of doing that with the sheer awesomeness and epic storytelling of Punk Hazard so fa
-
I would have to say water 7/cp-9 and thriller bark/sabaody archipelago
It just shows the crew going all out and fighting together idk I just think the art and story is so epic in those chapters
