Honestly, I wasn't paying much attention to the art, but the flow and choreography of Kishi's fight scenes continue to be confusing as all hell.

The art during the action scenes was quite terrible. The artistry in Kakashi and Guy's entrance was under the radar dope. I'm at least a little more excited than I have been for recent releases.

Seriously Kubo, enough with Ichigos super psychoanalysis swordstrikes! Stop trying to shove in last minute patheticly vague sympathy for the villains! Ginjo is NOT that complex a character that you can expect to pull of a "deep" monologue like this, and have anyone give a shit! Christ, it feels like we're just going through the motions of the Aizen climax again. Much time is wasted to elaborately show off the villain transforming, but the transformation does him fuckall good, a hugely unclimatic battle ensues consisting of panels that show that people are fighting, without bothering to actually show the fighting. Choreography is for pussies! Zoomed as fuck out drawings of people doing generic sword clashes is good enough! And then sprinkle some "depth" onto the villain, make loads of giant energy beams, give Ichigo a dead fish expression and have him be aggravatingly smug despite just having been mentally broken and outclassed, and and there ya go! The perfect Bleach arc climax!
And much like Aizen, Ginjos powers make no fucking sense. How the flying fraggle does having weird ass random hollow powers that allow you to make a sword out of a necklace give you bankai? It is not a fucking zanpakuto! Ginjo being a Sub shinigami didn't mean literal shinigami, it meant he could use his super powers to accomplish the same tasks as them! And we never get to see what the bankai actually DOES, and for some reason it gives him hollow eyes and fur legs. Naturally, because bankais work like that for the vizards and Ichigo too!
And quoting myself from several months back: HAVING YOUR MOTHER SMELL A HOLLOWS BODY ODOR DOES NOT INNER HOLLOWS MAKEI'm not even going to touch all the SS bullshit yet, I need time to process that, but all the talk about Ichigos "choice" annoys me to no fucking end. What the hell choice are you talking about?! Ichigo haven't chosen anything! This whole shitfest started because he wanted to protect his friends from the curiously absent soul society! And the only reason he got his powers back was because YOU shoved a sword up his ass after he went insane with murderous rage! Without asking him! Some fucking "Choice" that is!
Or is the "choice" that Ichigo chose not to be pissed at Soul Society was bullshitting him? This whole arc was nothing more than a test to see how Ichigo would respond to a cruel shinigami joke?This fucking arc. Ichigo was never a good character. Okay, let me rephrase that - he was a character that started out well but then stayed at one point (sad but strong hero) for too long and never had any character development. If someone does not agree - okay, please, show me at least ONE drawing of Ichigo laughing. Did he ever? No, not even once in a few hundred chapters. This is bad, he doesn't show most of human emotions that make someone believable. Ichigo from the start was just a robot, Chi from Chobits had probably more emotions shown than Ichigo.
As for the chapter - it felt REALLY hard to me like this was the end. Maybe a little arc about Rukia and Ichigo doing shit and saying goodbye, but honestly? This manga is just a dead rotting corpse. It died at the moment of Aizen's… thingies. I don't even remember half of the shit Kubo tried to put inside our heads to somehow make us buy more volumes. This is a dead series, it had it's ups and downs, but now Kubo should just find someone to write the plot for him. He's really talented in art, but plot and backgrounds? That's something he needs assistants for. And a creative writer.
Naruto this week? Two beasts fighting felt like Pokemon. Look at them, look at the white one, he looks like something waiting for a Pokeball!

Naruto was decent. I don't really like that all of the tailed beast hosts simultaneously transformed into black blobs, but at least Naruto actually has to struggle (rather than this Narujesus crap), and Kakashi and Gai showing up was both built up to (albeit only in this chapter, and at the expense of showing what the seven swordsmen are capable of), and a good sign of things to come (if everyone else is also heading that way, then maybe, just maybe, the Konoha rookies will do something. It's a long shot, but it's the only hope that I have left). I'd probably give this a Why Neji, Why? Blues.
Bleach… was just stupid. So having your parent attacked by a Hollow suddenly makes you basically a Vizard now? Why didn't Chad, or any of the fullbring users, do anything like that at any point in the series? Plus, the shinigami leaving when they outnumber the enemy eight to one (even though they might be needed), and the return of Ichigo's magical psychoanalytical sword slashes (which continue to make absolutely no sense) cement this as an absolutely dreadful chapter.
