Really nice throw back to the first 4 openings where there was narration before the songs started.

Damn that was nice. I didn't really like the opening music there was soemthing annoying about the singers voice but the animation itself was pretty great. And you gotta love where they put the One Piece logo on Robin :)
The action was great and the the characters looked awesome. I am really glad that they kept Nico Robin looking like a million bucks. Ever since that incompetent idiot ruined her in the Bridge scenes I am cautious about them bringing him back
Anyway I think it was an awesome reintroduction and I can't wait for next week where we will get to see them flexing their muslces a bit :)

And I didn't like the episode.I'm just gonna say something that will most likely bring me to hell. Naruto's Timeskip opening was 1000times better than what we got for One Piece now.

Finally got to watch it. And loved it. Loved the smiley in the opening too, that was a cute little Easter Egg.
The opening was spectacular, Loved it so much. Opening sounds just as good as the Gigant Battle 2 trailer had me expecting.
Also, Demalo Black and his crew being voiced by the actual, yet shuffled around SH VAs was a riot. Having the Straw Hats back together in both anime and manga form is wonderful. Can't wait for more.

Hmm, good episode overall, good opening, but none of them floored me.
episode:
- Felt some of the changes were weird. I think Urouge already mentioned the awkward placing of Franky's arrival. Also, I was really really sad there was no mention of Kidd and Drake going ape in the New World, since it's such a great nod of things to come. However, I did enjoy the Zoro filler.
- I was hoping the Fake SHs would be voiced by the actual voice actors but switched, and seeing it happen made my day. Franky's voice actor wasn't even subtle. Looking forward to what they'll do with Cocoa, can't believe they're making us wait another episode for that great moment.
- Don't like the eyecatch too much, but I guess they might work it more in the future.
- Been waiting to hear Brook's new songs for a year now. I'm glad to not be disappointed.
- Oh look, Chopper's being cute. Um, ok.
I think I'll blame not being too excited on not having to wait four weeks for this episode. Nothing can compare to the joy of getting to read that timeskip chapter after all that wait and seeing everyone's new designs.
Now, for the opening, I liked it. But I'm going to go ahead and admit that it did not impress me as much as the last one. In my head, Fight Together still is the best opening ever. Sure, I'll get used to this one, but unlike Fight Together I'm not compelled to listen to it for hours on end.
I do give them props for having a rubber band as the easter egg in Usopp's background. Out of the entire episode that got the most laughs out of me.

Not quite as good as we are (that song just makes you sing along instantly I hated op for years but always liked the 1st opening lol) but the song is kinda growing on me :D,equally energising, a good successor. Good episode overall.

One more thing I notice about the opening, people say Kitadani sounds a little off while singing, I kinda agree, but I kinda like it in a way.
He sounds happy to be doing this again, almost too happy, like, "delirious with joy" type happy, and it sounds like he's singing rather flamboyantly, almost losing control of his tone on some notes and stuff like that.
And I liek how it sounds. :ninja: The energy he brings to the song man. You can practically 'hear' the smile on his face. just….sveidbsgyhdsnvbnd I liek it.

I knew they sounded familiar. Fake Luffy sounded a lot like franky to me so maybe that's because it is :D

Actually Fake Luffy seemed to be Sanji VA. Fake Nami was Chopper VA. Fake Franky was Brooke VA. Fake Sogeking was Franky VA. Watch again and you can tell.

Really liked the new OP, transition from Roger to Luffy was perticularly awesome. Episode itself was great, looking forward to another 10+ years.

The opening was realy good,liked the rhythm to it ,Kitadani seems realy happy/joyous to sing it perhpas im wrong but the op bring's smile to my face(it was first thing i saw when i woke up).I wonder if they will show the cucumber thing.

As expected a great episode. Good art, even I noticed it looked good.
The new opening is great. It was a brilliant decision re-introducing the "Gol D Roger" bit at the start which they did back in the first set of episodes. Still not as epic as We Are but then nothing is.
As usual because the world of One Piece is so vast and the characters so strong it's very easy to pad episodes out with quality and interesting filler bits - which is what they did again for these episodes. It was nice seeing Zoro arrive and Chopper buy cotton candy.
Brook's singing was epic.
Great decision to play Sanji's theme when he first arrived and saw real ladies for the first time after two years.

Yeah I also noticed that the Fake Strawhats voices were similar to some of the originals. Sogeking was basically a carbon copy of Franky's and you could hear Sanji in fake Luffy. I was a bit annoyed at first but then after reading a post here suggesting that it was an inside joke, I realise that's probably correct.
They've also replaced the middle interval animations as well! Toei have really gone all out. It was a time for a change but I would have prefered it that each character had their own interval clip like before.
It was a shame not showing Momonga. Then again it took me the third time re-reading that panel to realise that it was him when I read it. The storyboard director must have screwed up there.

One of the few qualms I have with the series. Not only did Chopper grow cuter and smaller pre-time skip, but when Oda had the opportunity to actually grow Chopper bigger, he made him even cuter instead. I mean, it was probably for marketing/mascot reasons, but man, I really wanted a taller, cooler Chopper. Kinda like how he looks in his new horn point mode, but like that all the time, and with his regular horns.

This should've been a one-hour special, like they'd do in Enies Lobby. When it ended with Luffy looking at Fake Luffy, it just did not feel complete! :( Otherwise, lovely episode.
Truthfully, I don't think there could've been a better successor than We Go. I loved it. I'll admit, at the very first time, it felt totally alien to me because "We Are" is what I (and everyone else) was used to for the past 12 years. But then on the last "WE GO!!!!!" I was sold, because I realized the song's "charge ahead, no regrets" feeling is supposed to set the stage for Part Two. I think We Are had a "feeling out, exploration, finding your feet" feeling as that's what Part One was very much about: assembling the crew and getting stronger. But now that the Straw Hats are reasonably strong enough, I wouldn't be surprised if Part Two is about charging ahead to One Piece.
So if a new theme song were to become as ubiquitous as We Are, then I think We Go is really the most appropriate song they could have for Part Two. It really respects the crew having grown stonger.

I have to say the opening is not to my personal taste, theres a fine line to tread between an opening being too dark and depressing and too cheesy, happy, "friendship is magic" sort of thing. It was the latter IMO. The episode itself was good, although I would have liked more content (but thats always an issue with a 20 min program). Usopps "I see you managed to get your shirt off" scene was the best.

The way Im thinking is the eye catcher may just be like this for a couple of episodes at best. Once the crew gets into action, we may get the individual catches…but that is wishful thinking...

Fucking loved it. They're making a good job here, I think, it didn't even feel like they didn't cover the whole chapter - this pace is more than just alright with me. Loved the opening with Roger passing on the hat. Shame though that few things were changed, although showing Zoro arrive was great. I guess it was necessary to show all of the SH in this episode, instead of over two, like in the chapters. Makes for a better comeback in a way, especially on TV.
Also, I just realise how much Franky's new design has grown on me. I wasn't convinced when I first saw it at all, but now I love it. All in all, great stuff, they need to keep this up. -

Y'know, I stopped watching the anime right before Law entered the war. So I figured, "hm, this episode would be a good place to start watching it again?".
And I was right. It was awesome. Love the opening, it was good to see everyone's re-intro, hear Brook's music, that intermission scene was pretty cool….and, the episode ended in a good place, I think
Anyone know the seiyuus of the Fake Straw Hats? Because they're pretty hiliarous (is it me, or does fake Usopp sound like Franky/Bon Clay?)

for all the people who complains that it wasn't covered all the chapter, this amnga chapter had around 7 extra pages , and the only think they skip was chopper part which will appear next chapter, i think they did a good job
They also skipped Sanji in the rip off bar with Duval and the introductions of fake zoro, sanji, chopper and robin.

they should have had a one hour special this week. i dont think that one episode was enough since this is the start of the new world. i think naruto did that with the timeskip…they had a one hour special to celebrate it.
