if killua brings back leorio… fucking rep, it's been far too long.
Hunter x Hunter

I get the feeling that Shoot will pull through. Just a hunch.
More importantly I wonder what's going to happen to Gon. I can't imagine Leorio became a doctor already, so what kind of help could Killua be looking for? His family?

His family is a good guess. He was on the phone as the chapter was ending
-
This chapter wins. I was kind of shocked at Kaito, but I think I like it.
The way things are being set up, the return of Leorio and/or Kurapica should be nigh.
-
TOGASHI WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY BRAAAAAAIN
! Really. Morau's reaction was my reaction.
! Mouse loli Kaito. My brain is all kinds of broken right now. -
this chapter was pure gold. how can anyone compare it to the blandness that is bleach?
-
^^^^Agreed, It is the best series out of Jump's Big titles
ACTUALLY I THINK HUNTER X HUNTER IS THE BEST MANGA IN THE WORLD! Togashi knows golden rule "If you're good at something never do it for free" This may be one of many reasons why he takes breaks. He wants Jump to give him those sweet deals. And he wants other manga to get noticed besides the amazing magnum opus HXH is
-
What a weird development, didn't see the kaito thing coming…at all. I also like how the whole vice precident ploy is slowly starting to go into motion, I guess that and gons recovery are going to be the most important things in the following chapters. I wonder what Killua can do to help him, I don't really know anything that could provide him with the necessary means, even the doctor said this is an undocumented situation.
-
I like seeing Killua going off on his own. I'm not sure he's going to get Leorio, but it seems likely. He could try to go get help from his family. Anyway, great chapter and I'm liking the Hunter political developments as well.
-
I want to know exactly what happened when/after the king played with Komugi. And Kaito is living inside the body of a little ant child ?
It's not every manga that puts the main character into a coma.
-
Maybe Killua is off to find Biskuit? As the narrator said, the moment he saw Gon Hulked out, Biscuit was the first thing that came to his mind

No he is lazy and wants to play Dragon Quest.

There's actually quite a few. Hell, One Piece had Luffy in a coma-like state for a week.
I can't imagine Leorio has become a doctor in the time elapsed, so Killua probably went to find either Biscuit, go to his family, or find… Wing, maybe?
-
Eh, maybe Hisoka knows someones. He would probably freak if he knew what condition Gon was in now.

I already suggested that they get Machi, but Killua and Gon both hate the Ryodan, so it'd be kind of odd for them to get help from them when they have several other options. Overall, Biscuit's Nen Ability is the best choice for helping Gon recover. Not sure what they're gonna do about his arm, though.
-
What about Archangels breath ?
They used it already once to heal Gon's arm :

I like how Togashi emphasizes Gon's extraordinary event again and again through characters' words. It makes it stand out from the "critical condition power-up" pool, where characters get okay off screen and are not half dead the next time they are on frame. We (at least I) accept that the event IS disastrous and the feeling of its "convenient timing" gets smaller and smaller.
-

http://www.mangareader.net/207-14191-1/hunter-x-hunter/chapter-182.htmlRemember how Gons Janken Rock works? He concentrates all his aura in his fist leaving him defenseless. Judging from how big the aura was in his adult form when he did his last Janken the extent of his injuries are very likely even more severe than just his lost arm.
Also when the body is healed nobody now yet which conditions he set upon himself to gain his aldult form so that could be another problem alltogether.

http://www.mangareader.net/207-14191-1/hunter-x-hunter/chapter-182.htmlHe didn't take it as one of his three cards when he won the game did he? Or are you suggesting they would go back into Greed Island?
-
he might be suggesting that Killua will find the nen user who created that specific card and see if that person has the ability to heal gon, I dunno though…
-
Actually i was suggesting Killua going back into Greed Island
-
It'd be interesting to see what GI is like now that the game has been completed
-
It would be pretty shitty if this whole crisis just got solved by Gon heading back to Greed Island and using a cheat card to go back to normal.
Killua was probably calling Biscuit. I'm not entirely sure what she'd be able to do (maybe some massage to ease him back to health?), but she's the only character we've seen in the series thus far who's capable of compacting her body like that.
On another note, I was skimming over the beginning of the break-in and Killua recognizes his Grandpa's Dragon Dive when the dragons crash through the ceiling. But didn't Killua learn Nen after learning home? So how would he have ever seen the ability? Did he see it at Yorknew and just draw a few conclusions? Whatever. Probably just a slipup.
-
So… does anyone want the outcome of Gon being healed to also revert him back to a child?
-

Picks up ticket
Yeah, well at least I do, lol.
-
So… does anyone want the outcome of Gon being healed to also revert him back to a child?
I think this is OK, but there have to be major consequences.
-
I'm willing to eat crow if I'm wrong. But I'm thinking after expending all his Nen, Gons body already did revert back to his child self, and the Gon in the hospital is him in kid form already

Do all Nen attacks require that nen eye technique to be viewed? If not, he could have seen his grandpa do the technique when he was younger and just not have known what nen was
-
So… does anyone want the outcome of Gon being healed to also revert him back to a child?
Not in the least.
-

I want Gon to stay in his adult body, and hope he get's a robot arm jk, but seriously hope he stays as an adult.
-
I'd be okay with him being stuck in adult body, but like Biscuit, learning how to return to kid form when necessary. Or maybe he'll just stay transformed in Kid form like Biscuit, returning to his Adult form when he needs to kick some ass.
-
Some things have cost. Getting 20 years of development and potential unlocking in 2 seconds damn well better have a cost.
If that's the entirety of Gon's teenage years, then so be it.
-
I think it's a mental issue. Once Gon is able to forgive himself and feel like he is allowed to live, he should be able to regain his arm and youthful body.
-

Forgive himself from what? He was just upset that Pitou had lied to him for so long, having (apparently) fed Kite's brain and other internal organs to the Queen and then stitching up his remains so he wouldn't rot. Kite was the first person that Gon met not from his hometown, and was the first person in the manga. He was like a mentor to Gon. He was so pissed off at Pitou for lying casually about it he flipped out and "nerdraged" his Nen to absurd levels to beat the holy living snot out of Pitou. Why would he feel guilty about killing a jackass?

If you read the chapter where he flipped out, he repeatedly blames himself for Kaito's death. That's why when he loses his arm he doesn't care about it because it makes him feel like he's like Kaito. He seems to treat all the bad side effects of his power like it's retribution or something, so the sooner he can forgive himself, the sooner he can recover. Hard to treat a guy if he might not really want to be treated.
-
You haven't read this in a while I'm guessing - the ENTIRE ARC Gon has been wrestling with guilt over Kite's death. Being too weak to help him. Being so weak that Kaito lost an arm because of him. Being so weak that Kaito decided that he and Killua couldn't even have contributed enough to be worthy of being there. He saw the reanimated Kaito, reduced to less than a shell of a human being, and then felt the shame of having lost to Knuckle when he was supposed to have beaten him. All arc long, he's been fighting with his own weakness, and only got more and more unstable when he saw the way Pitou treated Komugi - the unfairness of how Chimera Ants DID have morality, weren't just good and evil. For Gon, Pitou wanting to heal Komugi dealt him another serious blow. His worry about Palm not having survived made things worse. Like…
What exactly do you think Killua has been worrying about all arc long?
Gon's mind is broken.
-
Yeah, so they need to heal his mind before they can heal his body. That's usually the case in these types of situations.
-
Didn't really care which form he stayed in but the thing Pitou said about him losing all of his potential in order to gain this form is really bothering me. Rather have him return to his comparatively weak child form and gradually get stronger like he is supposed to.

I don't agree on your interpretation of the meaning of what Pitou said.
Just look at how wrong people were on the contagious poison of the rose bomb. Really, I from the beginning was like "what the heck are they talking about, it's POISON, not a sickness, so how can it be contagious?", but people kept having these weird ideas. So I'd say take it with a grain of salt when it comes to quotes like that.
-
Kinda lost on this chap. Was the last pages implying Gon flat lined or just deep purple screaming about Kaito being reborn as a chimera ant?

yeah I'd rather he be in his kid form but now not have nen (I"d want him to find a way to eventually get it back though) than an adult. His adult form looked great though, and I wont be mad if its what he's in
Love that panel of him as an adult looking back at killua with tears in his eyes, and then he says something like "sorry"
-
No matter what happens, I want Gon to remain armless.
-
Any way is fine, as long as Gon doesn't have that enormous adult nen. It will degrade all fights to one-shot KO, and to counter that Togashi will have to set up tricky abilities that can't be beaten by strength all the time. But having strength and not using it and instead trying to outsmart is against logic in a way. Best fight is the one that ends fastest and with least expends, from their point of view. If he goes back to ground zero and builds up nen again, that would be okay. Regaining nen up to the child level and then growing further as series progress is fine too.
-
I thought the moral of the transformation was that this was a one shot deal. It's like something out there (nen obviously, but a sentiend 'God' of Nen) realized Gon's problem, new what Gon wanted, and gave it to him at a huge cost. Gon instantly jumped to what his peak would be. But it's costing something (his ability to use nen I thought was the canon answer, but maybe the series hasn't answered that yet and fans are just assuming, and I'm taking the assumption as truth). I think Gon might know what it costed or he has a good idea of how serious the cost will be. I think this because of the way he apologized to Killua
-
I don't get your God of Nen argument since the series already established that nen gets stronger when conditions are placed upon it. Remember Kurapica and his chain? He can only attack the Spiders and if he doesn't keep this condition he dies.
Your assumption that Gon know the price is a 100% right, since he's the one who placed the conditions on himself to gain his adult form.
Also remember his lines before the transformation? http://www.mangareader.net/207-50620-14/hunter-x-hunter/chapter-305.html
So it's pretty much hinted that the price was all of his potential which is pretty major since you know Killuah and Gon were established as super gifted being throughout the series. -
I really want to get back on this series, so I start reading it again from scratch but panels like these http://www.mangareader.net/207-14010-4/hunter-x-hunter/chapter-1.html just fuck me up.

What's wrong with it?

Don't worry. Rich backgrounds will soon disappear. And later the line art too will stop bothering you. Sometimes even characters themselves will let you rest your eyes a bit.

LOL 16 funny points.
