I think Trapped and Chrissie should do a duet.

I saw my dad for the first time today since he had knee surgery about a week and a half ago. Right now he has a cane and seems to be having some trouble with things like driving and stairs, but according to his doctor things are going as well as can be expected at the moment so I hope everything works out. He was really missing being able to ride his bike even before the surgery.

And a warm welcome to you Gypsy's wife.

God dammit. I know I shouldn't have started with these damn sleep pills.
I only took them twice and now that I didn't take 'em I of course can't sleep.Fuck you, fuck you. fuck you. fuck you. fuck you. fuck you. fuck you. fuck you.
SO MUCH -
I've been super busy with school lately, having to edit two films and trying to get a news insert done asap since my group couldn't meet the first deadline. Luckily we happened to choose a day when a bunch of teenagers came to the fire station we were shooting at to receive demonstrations and enlightement in fire safety. That gave us some good material and I got to be the reporter! :D Though now I know I should never become a real news reporter because I sucked. Still, it was fun~
Haaaaahhh, today my class is going to the Tampere Film Festival and I'll be staying there and meeting my friend, so that'll be a welcome breather. Then on Friday I'll return to my schedule of staying at school until 8pm every day until I get some work done.
(Oh and btw weather, I hate you. It's March already, we don't need ANOTHER snow storm. '-_-)

Today was fantastic.
My old roomate found my case of games that I lost a few months ago (18 DS games and 6 GBA games), and that relieved me so much.
Then I got done with 2 big tests and ended the night with a couple of good episodes of Doctor Who.Great day indeed.

;-; And I don't even like singing for people that much… I kinda hate my voice. Ugh. Thankfully my 'visit' won't last for more than an hour >_<;
we already know you have a adorable voice:wub:
I'm still sick. I've also acquired a running nose in addition to my sore throat, weakness, and headache. My dad is gonna give me antibiotics later. This thought didn't occur to me at first, but today I believe I've missed school for the first time in years.
thats bad , hope you get better marimo
and a duet between trapped and chrissie would kill me , too damn cute
I'm just gonna butt in here with you, my dear wife. ;D

Ooook. So today like I told you yesterday, I went to the kindergarten to act like a Nutritionist for my friend's class. I had a lot of fun even though they made me sing the song four times… <<; And the kids had lots of fun too with the game we played and all. They were all quite bright! Caught on to things fast and gave smart replies, especially Demosthenis. And that made me upset. Why? Because according to what one of the two normal teachers in the kindergarten told my friend, Demosthenis is probably 'possessed' and that my friend and her partner shouldn't 'bother with him'. We are talking about a smart, kind and funny kid here man and I came to that conclusion after only an hour of being in his company. HOW the hell did you reach to the conclusion that he is 'possessed'? =/ My friend also went 'wtf is she talking about' when the other teacher told her that. This woman who puts labels, UNFAIR labels, on these kids is a teacher??? She treats other kids like this as well while others much better.
And two more things that annoyed me (and my friend and her partner as well), is the prayer and the reaction of a little girl which showed us how she was expecting to be treated by the people she is supposed to trust. The first annoyed me because the prayer they are doing is an obvious Christian one. And they had three Muslim girls in the class who were basically forced to do the prayer along. W.T.F. I am so pissed off. Number one rule we were taught in our first year of our studies, is that especially if we have Muslim kids in our class, we are to do a general prayer like 'I am thankful for blah blah blah and I hope that blah blah blah'. A general, simple prayer. And these kids were not doing a that. And that was more than disrespectful towards the culture of the three Muslim girls. The kids in total were seven at the time. Nearly half of the class is forced to daily do TWICE a prayer that does not belong to its belief. It's just… wow. =/
Unfortunately since we are basically using the class of another person for those two weeks we go to the kindergartens, we can't change these morning rituals no matter if we don't approve of them ourselves. =/ It frustrates the heck out of most of us.
Anyway the second thing is as I mentioned, the reaction of a little girl. Before I left I was to put some milk in a glass for each kid to drink as my 'parting gift'. So after I did I sat down on a desk and chatted with a boy (whose cheeks I badly wanted to pinch <333) while my friend was going around chatting with the kids. Suddenly one of the girls started crying. Not loudly mind you, she wasn't even making a sound. She had spilled the milk on to another girl's towel. My friend cleaned up and asked her why she was crying and stuff but she wouldn't answer. Instead you could see her trembling and looking fearfully up at us as if she was expecting us to start yelling at her. This kid is not scared of her mother from what my friend told me, so it mustn't have been a reaction from home. You see where I am going with this huh? Yeah. Fear towards the person teaching you aka a person of authority for one reason or another. Anyway. My friend had to avoid hugging and talking to her because of the rest of the kids so I sat down next to her, rubbed her back and talked softly to calm her down instead. It took a few seconds for her trembling to stop and though her eyes were still filled with tears, she was clearly feeling better and wasn't scared anymore. It really made me sad to see a kid reacting like that towards us. And we again have no rights to say anything against the original teachers and their pedagogical methods.
It's kinda cruel, both for us and the kids, how we manage to spot problems like these but we are not given the right to do something about them. :( Makes you feel helpless…
-
rage material
i wasn't even there and i can feel how awful that was. it's such a crying shame =[
sadly, i was labelled as a "naughty child" and shouted at by my first ever teacher because she didn't understand or care that i was autistic.
i ran away from school several times because she made me miserable for no reason at all. -
@Chrissie-sama: Fuck that, tell those bitches off.
-
Why would someone become a teacher if they are not planning to at least try to be good teachers? Don't they feel bad about the kids? :/ The first teacher always leaves a strong impression on the child especially if they treat him/her poorly like your teacher did MDL. Leave the kindergarten for the ones who care already!! D:
I wish I could but I am supposed to be a Nutritionist y'know =x If I said anything I would've gotten my friend in trouble and that's the last thing she needs during her last year. Also from what my friend told me, she has been several times, a step before opening her mouth and going off at them. I really think she'll explode by the end because she is not a person who likes to keep her mouth shut. I almost pity the teacher. Almost.
-
lol, i'm looking back at old conversations and finding such drastic differences between then and now XD
it's kinda ironic to see.
-
That's too bad, Chrissie. It's never good to find out that children, especially so young, are mistreated. As much as I hate to say it you're not going to always have good teachers. At least you can be happy that you'll be better than them  .
-
I'll try to the best of my abilities to make a strong, positive impact on my students.
-
There's a pedophile joke in there somewhere.
-
Ken-Ken boy. Out. Now.
-
@Chrissie: Yeah, those teachers are assholes. You can outperform them by a factor of ten.
@Kenny: I'm shocked Kenny!
This is kindergarten, not high school. :ninja: -
This isn't about my day, more like about my future.
Holy crap I get to meet J. Michael Tatum twice this year.
Once at a tiny little anime shop I live close to this month, and again at an anime convention this August. @~@ Wow. -
i got my 1 million points in bookworm game today, still ongoing. awesomeness.
also, it's a pretty cool feeling when you realise that something bad wasn't your fault. ;D

J. Michael Tatum
You lucky son of a bitch. Damn you~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :cwy: Be sure to take lots of pictures!!

I borrowed a book from my professor and he said to make sure I returned it on Thursday, today. I forgot . So I was freaking out and was going to drive back up there but the traffic is terrible and I found out that he's not going to pick it up today anyway. So my mom is going to return it tomorrow since it's on her way to where she works.
Edit: I fucking hate you Ohio! Stop snowing!

Today was quite peaceful. Traffic was more of a bitch than usual though, making very difficult to get carts in (then again its always been like this when you're working in a parking lot). Nothing special tbh. -_-

The doorman from my building died today, this may seem somewhat unimportant, but he was a friend of my family even before I was born.
I'm still stunned by the news.
-
My body is totally malfunctioning right now. I'd have to take three different drugs to take care of it all, which I obviously can't.

Back from my trip to L.A.!
! Let's see:
! -Went to the Farmer's Market. Meh.
-Saw Mario Lopez shooting for Extra at the Farmer's Market. Hilariously awesome: he threw a hissy fit because he had to take a piss, threw his jacket off, and ran to the bathroom like a princess. Entire trip, my sister and I had a running gag saying, "I have to pull a Mario Lopez" when one of us had to go to the bathroom.
-Chinese Theater was nice. A lot better than the Farmer's Market. Didn't watch anything at the CT though. If I did, it probably would have been Beastly :ninja:. No matter how crappy that movie is, it looks like a crappy that I can enjoy and mentally riff.
-Found a Disney Sundae Malt shop. They had great milkshakes and cupcakes. Bought a few things as well.
! Did all of the above on Tuesday. Waking up in North Carolina at 6am, dragging my ass onto an 8am plane, and arriving at California at 12pm (3pm at NC). Crazy day that was.
! Wednesday:
-Played a fuck ton of Persona 3 while waiting for my sister to get back.
-Went to Downtown Disneyland. WONDERFUL!
–-They have a New Orleans cafe. AMAZING BEIGNETS!
---Decent pizza parlor!
---Crap load of shopping.
! Today:
-Four hour flight to Chicago (absolute torture).
-Two hour flight to NC. Slept the whole thing, despite it being insanely uncomfortable.
-Chicago airport has automatic toilet seat covers! O_O
-Made it home about three hours ago.
-I have severe heart burn from pizza, a sore throat, and a running nose. 90% sure I have a cold, though no cough. Tired as shit from jet lag.I'm going to take a shower and see how I feel after that.
Otherwise, I had a pretty good time.
-
Edit: I fucking hate you Ohio! Stop snowing!
-collects Sakie's snow and brings it home-

I'm very sorry to hear that. My sympathies with you, and I wish you and your family all the best.

Just had to cancel my second meeting with a friend to study for the last midterm. It's the most difficult mod I'm taking this sem; the learning curve is extremely steep, and I've been almost entirely lost during most of the lectures so far. I feel really bad about cancelling on my friend, as we haven't seen each other in ages and I was the one who asked her out, but I haven't had time to study for this mod during the past couple of weeks, so I desperately need the time. :/
-
oh dear. I don't know the details, but I hope you get better soon! is there one root cause?
Thanks
At first I tried to blame it on the simple fact that I was born female, but that doesn't quite work out (and I never was in that sort of pain because of it before), so I have no idea what's wrong.Good luck with your studying!
@metteminne:
also i hope you will be alrught nia :(
Thank you, mette :3
I found some drugs I can take that don't fight each other, and as long as I take those I'm good :) -
Just woke up and looked out the window. Virtually no snow left.
Today will be a good day.

Why did everybody look confused when I said: ".. and I really loved that game, so I bought it." They were like: "Why did you buy it, you can download anything?"
Well… meh...
I usually download something (music, game) first, then if I liked it, I buy it. I think that's fair enough. I know demos are out there for every game, but I want to finish the whole thing before buying it. And so far, I brought almost every game that I've played through and liked. (Except for Doom 2 and Heretic but they're too old)Only time when it fails when I can't buy the game. Like Call of Cthulhu. I don't want a downloaded version, I want a nice box that I can put next to my other games.
-

Exactly what I'm doing.
When I used to read a lot of manga (besides One Piece) I always checked them out online first, then decided it if it was good enough to be bought. Same with anime, TV shows and movies.
To me, that seems pretty fair. -
So, I had to go into work today to finish orientation. They hadn't scheduled me into the real shifts until about next Wednesday. Well, I get into the office, and turns out the system is down completely and I won't be able to do all the computer work until Tuesday. Before I could just beat my face against the wall, Erin finds me. She handles the schedules and whatnot, so seeing her coming to find you this early is good. She points to me and is like: "Will your feet hurt in those heels?"
I was all: "Maybe, but I can manage."
She looks me up and down before going: "You're on the 3-11 shift starting today. Can you do that?" BOO-YEAH SUCKER. I WILL GET HOURS IN BEFORE THE TIMES ARE INPUT.
And now to find $4 in quarters to put gas in my car. B|
-
The days are going by extremely quick and yet when I look back, it feels like the day before was a long time ago. It's really weird.
I'm spending my days on a schedule I made for myself. Drawing, comic making, forums, manga, fun stuff.

yeah, it's pretty much the same for me.
Except replace 'comic making' with 'video games'. -
First real weekend in 8 weeks. Woohoo

Tomorrow is my regional English olympiad. Wish me luck!

So I'm still sick, which sucks. It's like the two day hiatus from school did absolutely nothing to make me better in any way. The problem is that when I get sick, it is always prolonged. It makes me sad because when I was younger I rarely ever got sick or recovered quickly if I did. I guess it's because I hardly take care of my health these days or exercise even the slightest bit outside of walking to and from classrooms.
Also, my being sick means that I'll definitely not be able to go shopping soon. Walmart almost almost had the kind of fedora I wanted. It's hard to find a pinstripe one that has the "right look" to it. But then again the one that caught my eye on the internet is a trilby which is apparently similar to a fedora but is different somehow and now I'm confused. I'm hoping that I'll somehow find a satisfactory one in an actual store so I can try it out and know what I'm getting. Plus it feels awkward to think of asking my parents to let me buy online because of my failing grades. Even though my birthday is just around the corner, it just makes me uncomfortable. Since I'm perpetually behind in all my classes, I just never have time to get out of the house except being dragged to the gym, where again, I don't work out like I should be.
I checked my grades. Good news is that my AP English class moved from a C to a B+, the bad news is that one of my econ classes dropped to a D. I hate econ class. I'm extremely paranoid that I'll be rejected last minute from college because of my failing grades, even though I've already paid the acceptance fee. I mean, the first three years of high school I got all As and an occasional B or two, but now the norm is Cs and Ds. It doesn't help that my attention span has been wandering A LOT lately. I can't even enjoy reading like I used to because all these stupid thoughts keep randomly floating through my brain when I'm trying to engage myself.
On the plus side, "big bro" is coming back for spring break today. Things can finally be lively at home again! :D
-
Strangely enough I was sickly as a child but ever since I hit 16 I haven't been sick since. Not even a slight sneeze, which is great because to be honest I can be quite the drama queen.
Oh but I hurt myself quite often, I'm a trainee referee in football so it's usually just the obligatory pulled muscle and nothing serious. Otherwise I can't complain.
Here's hoping you get well soon pirate, I know what these prolonged colds feel like and how they drain your energy. Be sure to drink a lot and get enough sleep then you should recover in no time.
-
@MDL:
yeah, it's pretty much the same for me.
Except replace 'comic making' with 'video games'.I'd forgotten to add video games. That's strange considering how much of my time it eats up.

Huh, I just got an e-mail notification that someone on Fanfiction.net favorited a rather crappy story I wrote nearly five years ago. How about that?
