This actually made me lol, its true though. GAME can charge whatever the hell they want… pretty much because their competition is only CEX and HMV. The latter of which is going out of business and the former of which is only in business through extremely shady methods.

So it's like all 3 current gen systems where you have a miniature dashboard-guide without quitting the game or the actual system menu?
The 3DS can multitask, so you can leave a game without quiting and use the notes function/internet browser.

Hmm, I hope it's a bit cheaper at Grainger Games. I heard a rumor that a Nintendo rep said the RRP is actually £229 at the event.

I asked at Grainger today and the people there had no clue about the price. They said probably about the same as Game/Gamestation/HMV but couldn't confirm.

Somebody'll probably find some way to break the region encoding eventually, like with the Wii 's Homebrew Channel, you can break it using Gecko OS and probably some other tools.
I can't wait for this, though. I'm sure one or two launch titles will be worth getting even if the stuff I'm really looking forward to isn't coming out until later this year.

Seriously? I mean this is the smallest of the DS's in size, there isn't going to be no LITE. It already has 3 cameras, so no i. It has motion so not like they going to make a 3DSmove or something
ONLY thing that might happen, actually i expect it at some point would be a 3DS XL. since hey you can always make thigns BIGGER.
So have fun waiting to those that are for a potential NOTHING or years for somethign to come out. I'll be playing my agua blue 3ds from day 1. or whenever i get it from amazon i guess

And I'm sure if someone had asked if there would be a smaller, slimmer DS before the original phat came out, he would have said the same thing. It would be very poor marketing to give anyone an incentive to not buy something as major as the 3DS.
And it's not like they're even being that sneaky. No "plans" doesn't mean there won't be one.

Every Nintendo handheld generation had revisions of the original model, so you can expect a new 3DS in the future too.

The more successful it is, the more revisions it will have. I'd be shocked if the 3DS doesn't have at least 2 revisions.
The rate in which technology moves means they're going to have the ability to miniaturise components year on year, even if it's only a cpu/gpu die shrink(which'd make the battery life better).

I would assume it's pokemon grey. You know they're gonna do a third game to finish the 5th gen trio, and it sure as hell can't be on the regular ds. So it's gonna be a much better version on the 3ds.

As long as the Third game of the 5th gen was compatible with Black and White I may not mind, though, I kind of doubt they would put the third game on the new system.

Gold and Silver were GB games. Crystal was a GBC game. Just a reminder.

Low sales of about 3 to 4 million million doesn't equate to a failure even if it's predecessors sold a lot.

That's cool I guess. There were some great GB/GBC games but I don't think I'll be getting too many of them, especially not pokemon. I don't want to waste my time raising pokemon that I can't transfer into the most recent game.

I was thinking of getting one of these on release date but changed my mind considering the low battery life and the fact that nintendo will probably release a better version of it within a year or so.
I really want to try the Mario Kart game on here though.

Appearently many of the 1st party titles not in the launch were ready before nintendogs and cats, but Nintendo is waiting to put them out to have more even releases and so 3rd party developers aren't scared away
