Yeah, that's partly what I meant about him being good with localization. Although I suppose that's a double-edged sword.
There's this particular point that I'm wondering about, though, where I can't help but wonder if Stephen made one of his very rare mistakes. His translation is "Got him!" while cnet's, the Swedish manga and every single other translation I've seen (around 5 of them) has "He took it!" or some variation of that. And "got him!" doesn't really make any sense in the context of the scene, to me. Would it be fair enough to assume that he probably made a mistake, in this case?
But anyway, this is off-topic, so I won't talk any more about that. About Hodi Jones – does anyone else get the feel that he probably isn't the "big bad" of the arc, after all? I think he's going to be a serious threat, probably through the use of the drugs, but even with what he did this chapter I don't quite get the arc villain feel from him. I'm quite honestly more impressed with what Hyouzou did last chapter, since his strength seems genuine. And with all the different factions being set-up, I wonder if it's going to eventually delve into a Skypiea-style free-for-all between the NFP, the Neptunes, the SHs, VdD, Caribou and possibly even some other yet-to-be-introduced faction.
Try posting in Steven's thread, or sending a PM maybe? Dunno otherwise.
As for the villain question, yeah it doesn't seem to me that Hodi is the main villain either, and I think quite a few others have posted similar suspicions, for that matter. He is strong relatively speaking, but so far it doesn't appear he could give the SHs too much of a challenge, plus as you say there are so many other factions and characters yet to be introduced. So far the arc does seem to have a lot of suspiciously Skypeia-like parallels, though, I agree. It seems like it's shaping up to be a great arc! Can not wait!
