There is a ton of exposition in this chapter, and all of it is both interesting and open in it's use. Let me try to keep track of all of it…
-Vivi being forced to clean a bathroom by cats. Seems kinda demeaning, is it just me?
-Sanji is saved, and this plot line is resolved with a joke.
-Luffy has some poison immunity now thanks to surviving Magellan.
-Hyouzou turns out to be a pretty strong guy! I think it makes sense considering blue ring octopus are one of the deadlier creature on the planet. Is this setting up a fight?
-In the same page, Caribou is loose and possibly kidnapped a mermaid.
-Madame Shirley is huge and good at predicting the future. Moving onto Pappug!
-With surprising swift introduction, Brooke is back!
-Oh, Mermaind can't eat meat. Seems weird...is this info going to be useful?
-Van Der Decken is a threat to Fishman Island, and possibly the Mermaid princess. This will probably come up later.
-Mermaids and Fishman can have like four varieties of offspring.
-Big Mum is filling Whitebeard's shoes, but she wants candy for it. It seems to be working out for Fishman Island. This could be an issue later depending on Big Mum's character.
-Remember Shirley? Well she see's Fishman Island getting wrecked by Luffy. This can't possibly be taken more then one way right? :happy:
So in conclusion, there were about eleven plot points in this thread, one every one or two pages. There's a lot to take with this chapter! I have no idea which direction this story will go in thanks to the sheer number of choices that have been created.

All they know is that he's a ridiculously strong pirate. That seems like trying to defuse a bomb with a baseball bat.

Supposedly she was very young when she made that prediction, which would have been made 25 years ago at this point. It's reasonable for her to be 28-30.

I don't think the Octopus is Zoro's opponents or a match for a M.Trio member at all.
Zoro and Luffy are individually stronger than the entire SH crew Pre-TS. Sanji is in pretty much the same boat. Even Franky should be able to wreck pre-TS Rob Lucci. I doubt a guy who is probably only a mid-ranking New Fishman pirate can compete. I can't even imagine Jones being as strong as the M.Trio at this point who seem like they could match land Jinbe or Iva now.
Lots of potential villains this arc but I doubt he'll be a major one.

Loved the Big Moma reference, idk why but I instantly thought about Luffy fracking up the factory which would result in BM either being angry or dropping protection on the island which = destruction (however... it was just a thought let us see where will Oda take us)

What rift? Keimi didn't live with him because she didn't feel like she fit in with the upper class, thats no reason for them not to still be friends.

Loved Brook and Pappug walking out of the Mermaid Cafe together.

Obviously not or he would be with Hodi. He is clearly around Hammond rank if he is with him patrolling outside FI with him and not taking charge. Right hand man of the big boss would have taken precaution to get Luffy stopping his men from taking unnecessary action or go after Luffy himself in some less direct way. Guy is not fodder. Does not mean he is a serious threat much like Blueno and Kalifa.

@Silence:Lately I feel a lot of One Pieces chapters are just really cluttered, you know? Like Oda feels like we'll forget someone is there if they aren't shown in a few panels every chapter. It really kills the pacing and it's not a problem the manga used to have. He needs to calm it down.
And the exposition. REALLY outrageous, this chapter.
And I guess you complainers about "bad pacing" haven't even noticed that this chapter contained only 15 pages of story (+1 cover page)? Now… who's gonna start to cry about that?
