man each panal in bleach is so huge. like they take up half a page at least and all that is on it is ONE person saying something
well anyway, at least our dreams seem to be coming true slowly, chad seems to be involved.

To be fair this chapter was at least the funny kind of stupid as opposed to Kubo's usual boring kind.

That was back when Aizen was busy transforming into a butterfly and the powerscale was being thrown out the window in favour of mullet ichigo and deus ex machinas abound.
When all that ended it's just been really boring (up till now).
I did forget this last time I posted but the whole "objects have souls" is actually an aspect of Japanese culture, but it all depends on how one looks at it. One thing I was reminded of from a recent one-shot I did (though Nube has it too) is the aspect of "Tsukumogami", where all objects that exist essentially "gain" souls from how they are used and the perspective of the people using them, even to the point that they gain life 100 years later.
Sadly all Kubo is doing is making a stupid version of such while throwing in all these other manga he never had the chance to steal from until now (FMA, Psyren, Rave)
do you think Bleach fans come here and think were stupid like how we go to their forums and think there retarded?
if so I want to see there criticisms, durr taking up panels is fine it's his manga durr
or how can they not like the fact that there's a zero espada such a cool plot twist
aizen looks bad ass as a butterfly wtf are they talking about
no Bleach characters look alike there all original
and shit like that
BEST BLEACH CHAPTER EVER
CHAD
CHAD
CHAD
CHAD
holy fuck Chad has a purpose this is the best day ever
One Piece fans are generally less retarded than Bleach ones. Obviously some people like them both, like there are obviously fans who love loads of series. However there is justification for One Piece fans declaring OP as say the successor to Dragonball. Bleach cannot do this. There are many reasons for loving Oda's masterpiece, some people who don't like OP complain about how much he writes in his panels, but that just adds to the pacing and plot, and complex story structure.
One Piece has genuine emotion and drama which is part of what makes it so great. Character designs are awesome and can be quite meaningful. For example when Kuma appears with his Bible his look matches his serious tone. Whitebeard conveys a manly and fatherly protective badassery aura.
As for bad guys, they clearly mean business and have tones, speech and appearance which seem quite deadly and menacing.
Then there's Bleach, yeah a butterfly is really threatening…
I disagree OP FANS can be just as bad as bleach or naruto fans. I've been here for awhile and I've seen some retarded OP fans.

I tend to agree with this. The quality of the fan =/= the quality of the manga. I've seen some very smart Bleach fans. Of course, most of them only read the manga for cheap laughs anymore…

I'd have to say this is probably true, we have some really bad posters, my guess is despite all the narutard bleachtard stuff we some most of them are sensible and it's the idiots we really notice i.e kubo has no plot hloes he's the best writter ever cause no one else can draw toesns hair…. or am I mistaken and the majority of them are actually idiots
EDIT: friend of Luffy and GOn: bingo! do people really not like it cause they have to read a lot???? wow you can basically write those people off as people who like style over substance which I can understand why they love Bleach
I read it out of resolution to finish what I have started, plus I'm interested in the possibilities of more bankai and shikai. It's easier to see the series as bad if you have things like One Piece, Hunter X Hunter, Fullmetal Alchemist etc to compare to. I've ranked some series 9 out of 10 which probably deserved to be lower but I enjoyed them on an entertainment level.
As much as I have major issues with Bleach I haven't expected decent plot in a long time so I don't get too disappointed. The series at the top end of my manga list (and I adore manga) have so much more than even Bleach at it's peak had. So yeah if I don't seem too harsh about Bleach that's why. Depends what you want from shounen, my better series involve good characterisation, backstories, powers, character relationships, in depth plot, consideration of the secondary characters and stuff that makes me feel, examples include Gon's most recent power up in HxH and of course Robin's wanting to live declaration. I want all that as well as the usual shounen crap, which is pure entertainment. Bleach goes under the usual crap.
Chad finally plays a major role something which makes me happy, but I still have a nagging feeling that he's going to be fodderized soon.
Well…that was an alright chapter. I have to admit I laughed when he said he pulled out the "soul of the alcohol" but when he went into further explanation rather than moving past it like it was a normal thing to do I became more accustomed to the idea.
I'm glad to see Chad but what the hell happened to him? Looks like he's been living on the streets ever since.
Probably training, Kubo better not waste his chance this time. I got the impression when I first read it that Chad was their leader lol.
Well, the soul stuff could add some badly-needed strategy to Bleach fights, but knowing Kubo…
Chad's actually going to be relevant? Say it isn't so!
Great idea, lets see about the execution. No chapter pun intended lol.
I want nothing more than for Chad to actually be important again, but I still think this will happen: Chad's gonna get oneshotted by somebody or (given everything has a soul) something. Everytime Kubo makes Chad seem relevant, he ends up finding new ways to almost kill him off so Ichigo can come in in his stead. It's happened three times now, and Kubo sure hasn't shown improvement in the writing category.
@Friend:

…I've never heard anyone try and claim that about Bleach. One Piece? All the time. Naruto? Among the monkeys who still insist that series is good, yeah. But Bleach? Even at its best, it had little in common with Dragonball.
Then there's Bleach, yeah a butterfly is really threatening…
My point was Zenigame that Bleachtards WOULD attempt this, because of blind bias. I wouldn't try it with Naruto but then again even if I still love the series a teeny bit I can name at least 15 better.
Bleach was more like a Yu Yu Hakusho clone even at it's best, although Yuyu is an incredible series so I'm not surprised Kubo tried to emulate it. Speaking of Togashi this leads me to your picture of Pouf. I was referring specifically to Bleach and how it fails. We have already mentioned Chouji in Naruto, but badass buittefly transformations aren't uncommon in manga. Saint Seiya had a badass villain like that, and Hunter X Hunter obviously has Pouf.
Bleach doesn't have anything in common with DB…
At all XD
Besides the main hero getting power up/transformations out of nowhere and metamorphing villans, yeah…
Bleach will now start asking people to pierce him and heal him after so he gets stronger.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, you...
Bleach doesn't have anything in common with DB…

Yes it does.
The incredible kickass character with no real powers who wants to save the world.
Soon when Ichigo needs more energy for the Getsuga needed to vaporize Kid Aizen Don Kanonji will contact the people of Karakura Town to give Ichi his energy.

That made me chuckle. Even though I hope it never happens.
Bleach and Dragonball have similar faults (mostly towards the end of Dragonball).
*Disregard for old characters
*Weak plot connecting mindless fights
*Series does not end where it should
Dragonball is still far better and none of those similarities are things to brag about.

It will happen.
Accept this fact.
The pain will lessen.

Wat?
You know, I realize that with Chad here the bread that Orihime left on his door will go to waste. That's had the strongest impact on me this chapter. Poor, poor wasted bread…

Bleach is DBZ with swords
In a earlier interview didn't kubo mention something about chad having a more dominant role in one of the upcoming arcs? (as being this one) since the interview was during the WW arc.
The way Goku received power-ups was much more tactful than how Ichigo receives them.
There was usually an explanation for Goku's power-ups and they were often the result of training.
With Ichigo it's, "Here's random power-up #28 with absolutely no foreshadowing, build-up or explanation that Kubo just hamfists into the story because he has no clue how to continue it."
Bleach has some of the worst traits of DBZ, with non of the MANY good ones.
That is, the power scale being thrown out of the window, with the main character and antagonist being constantly millions of light years above everyone else, and the fights having little strategy.
With that said, DB had a sense of epicness that Bleach clearly lacks, and the fact that during the very criticised Buu saga, Toriyama took things far less seriously, makes Bleach hilariously serious bullshit look a little ridiculous in comparison. Because a villain looking like a bubblegum ain't really much more hilarious than a guy turning into a condom -> into a mc giver look alike -> into a butterfly -> into a random urotsukidoji demon in the spam of 4 chapters and completely out of the blue. The difference is that one of these 2 examples is taken VERY seriously.
Oh, and as for the spamming, the only thing similar to Bleach is Naruto, and even he had some variations of the Rasengan, and also did a summon once and his KAge Bunshin spam. As people said, Goku had a lot more techniques than that. Just look at his first fight against Vegeta and tell me how many Kame Hames he used in there.
Bleach's main inspiration seems to be St Seiya and Yu Yu Hakusho.
I'll simply say I think Kid Buu is an insult to good storytelling and leave it at that :ninja:
As for Aizen's forms , as I said the condom suit was the best because ironicaly the lack of a face contributed to some of those expressions he made being realy freaky .
Of course if he didn't talk it would be a million times better .
As for the rest , Mulletguy was meh and the butterfly was just lolzy , but lasted far too short a while . And the finaly form could have been somewhat creative , if it wasn't slapped on like that . Here the lack of a face was a definite sign of lazyness .
Bleach has NO parallels to Dragon Ball? Get the fuck out of here.

This is just a funny thread. My own response:
Oda: Everything he does, comedic or serious, has a meaning and a purpose. It's not "for fate", it's all part of a massive plan that's been unrolling now for over 13 years. (heck even the latest event with Sanji's blood loss from cute girls lead to something…Oda is epic with that sort of thing)
Kubo: There's such a thing as stretching out...and there's such a thing as stretching it way, way out...and oh yeah, WTF plot twists that ultimately mean nothing.
I will not defend Dragon Ball beyond the Namek Saga, but even after that, it is still better than Bleach will ever hope to be.
The comparison of "Bleach is DBZ with swords" isn't entirely inaccurate. It's more like, "Bleach is the absolute worse parts of Dragon Ball with swords."
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. Kubo is a guy who is attempting to mimic DBZ but, assuming he really watched it and liked it, never understood what really made it appealing–which is pretty sad since Dragonball isn't complicated.

Nevertheless, I still admired Kubo's creative story telling.
Top that won't you :P .
@NF:
Also, the whole use of large panels focusing on one to two things (with a lack of background) probably means Kubo wants to emphasize on something, or make it stand out so that nothing distracts the reader when he's doing it.
Like when Gin said he was sorry. Pretty sure Kubo wanted to hit home with that shit, so instead of cluttering it with pretty rainbows, butterflies, other sappy shit, he just has the words Gin says.
"I'm sorry." (or whatever he says at that point, can't remember).
Delivers so much more of an impact.
Kubo couldn't make a Hippopotamus crashing through Ichigo's house have impact, much less a single phrase.
I love how they said that he delivered that line brilliantly, and yet they can't remember what it even is.
read bleach backwards. it makes more sense.
But you'd release Aizen that way.
Eh, I think Kubo just likes to draw. Not backgrounds, just characters.
Okay, I'll admit, this chapter was okay. It took twice as many pages to basically just say "we use this power fullbring to get at the souls of objects and make them so stuff if you are all in synch with one thing then it will be super cool look see alcohol and swords and also here's chad"
that all could've been like half this chapter, but kubo is kubo, so…
anyway yeah this is a 3rd explaination for ichigo's friends' powers, right? first is was ichigo's reatsu spilling over, then it was the hogyoku, and now this thing.
At least NF has a healthy dose of JJBA fans.

reading that makes me want to punch babies. AASDFSDF
Then you could just as well say his reiatsu contaminated them , allowing the ball to grant their wish which was to bring out the hidden potential they were born with .
Not that Kubo will ever think of that .
