My eyes hurt from witnessing the awesome that is Uncharted 2 all day today. Before that I mailed my power supply. Should take a little over 2 weeks to get there, processed, and come back. Until then it's Uncharted 2, maybe Minecraft, and Soul Eater on Youtube. Speaking of which…
Post how your day was… (NEW)

i got my body wrapped in Plastic Wrap
it was weird -
I made 70 bucks in tips today at work. That was nice.
And I thought 20 bucks at my previous job in a café was good -
i got my body wrapped in Plastic Wrap
it was weirdWhy? If you don't mind my asking, lol. Remind me of a scene from a movie–I think it may have been "Steel Magnolias" from years ago. The middle aged woman wants to spice up her marriage, which has gotten a little frayed on the edges, so she answers the door to her husband when he returns from work wearing nothing but plastic wrap. He had a rather unsatisfactory response, IIRC. Funny and poignant scene. LOL

@I:
Aww. Well good luck. If this special person is as great as you think, she will understand how nervous you are and will look past any little goofs you may fall prey to, and may even be flattered by your nervousness. If not, she just may not have been as special as you thought all this time, and better to find out early than late. Here's hoping for the former. Have a good time
Just came home, and quite frankly, things went perfect.
First I felt really awkward, because I'm not really someone who is lookin' for a serious relationship, being a hedonist. But while talking with her, I realized how unsatisfied I am with that lifestyle and that she could be the one who can change me and make me a better and happier person.
This could really work out. -

I heard the first Christmas Song on the radio today. Oh, how I hate the annually hype. Last time I was able to partly escape it by traveling far away but this time I can't go anywhere. It's coming to get me and I can't hide.

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_hDJA0HCf4D8/R3BlKBUSRmI/AAAAAAAAABc/wzbm-j0Cju4/s320/grinch.pngY-you mean… you don't like Christmas? :cwy:
-
I do like Christmas and everything from December 24th to New Years Eve. However, everything before that is just way too much corny hype. Especially if it already starts in November.
-
Seeing Christmas lights strung up in early December is pretty nostalgic and heartwarming; taking a late night drive during/after the first snow, looking at the fluffy white land and the glowing green and red lights is pretty much unbeatable. And I can't deny that a few Christmas songs every here and there can brighten up the mood too.
But… it would be nice if we could get Thanksgiving over with before everyone starts flipping their shit over Christmas.
Fuck. I just remembered I have to see my family in two weeks for Thanksgiving. Son of a bitch.
-
Combined with my mom playing Christmas music in the house nonstop starting the day after Thanksgiving and playing Christmas over and over in band in preparation for our multi-act, 2 hour long winter concert, I think I might go mad if not for headphones.
Its kind of sad, though, that I get sick of Christmas before Christmas even gets here. -

I'm so glad to see you post Buce!–-I thought you'd decided to drop the forums?
Prepare yourself mentally--as in decide what will you are willing to do, be prepared with a plan of action if things get ugly (take a walk, withdraw to your room, suddenly have a burning need to go to the bathroom, etc just to break yourself away) and bring some boredom breakers, and you should be able to get through ok. Family of origin stuff can be hard, but if anyone can do it, a phylosophical guy like you ought to be able to. Enjoy the food, at the least, eh?

My guidance councilor forces me to see him before I register for next semester. When I see him, he gives me class recommendations. Well, I've tried to register for these class he registered for, but one of the class has a prerequisite I'm taking RIGHT NOW.
However, it turns out I have to take ANOTHER course to enter these three class I need to register, and NOW he fucking tells me. He's yelling at me like I'm a fucking idiot who didn't realize my mistake, when he RECOMMENDED THE COURSES WHILE LOOKING AT THE COURSES I HAD ALREADY TAKEN!
I swear to God, he doesn't know shit! At the same time, he's been as vague as fuck with certain information.
I fucking hate college.

Love it. I keep telling myself that I'd be an idiot not to move to Southern California when I get the opportunity, but it's imagery like that that cause me to hesitate. One of the most beautiful memories I have was of Christmas day about 6 years ago: I was at the house of relatives pretty far out on Long Island, standing on their massive front lawn (it was far from the main road and secluded by pines). It was snowing lightly, and despite being way past sunset, the sky was this magical light purple hue, and it was coloring all the snow and the trees purple as well. As delightfully fruity as it sounds, I just had to walk outside alone without a coat and do a little dance in the snow. I'd never felt so at peace, and I haven't since…
I fucking hate college.
The lesson here? Don't rely on people.
Do you have some kind of course-guide in book/website form that tells you what classes you need for your major and what prereqs are needed for those classes?I'm in my senior year now and I've never once seen an advisor or guidance counselor. O_O

I do have the course book. The biggest issue is, IT'S WRONG! They change the names and numbers of courses in the book. Certain information isn't included in the book. And if I don't go to see him, I'm not allowed to register for next year.
If I don't register for the class he assigns, he get's pissed with me. I've resisted registering for 'Philosophy' for the past five semesters, and every time, he's told me "YOU HAVE TO DO THIS CLASS". WHAT THE FUCK DOES PHILOSOPHY HAVE TO DO WITH COMPUTER SCIENCE?
I've already done my science courses, and any other USELESS class I'm supposed to take on the sideline. At the same time, I'm supposed to sign up for 'Related Courses', but they don't explain that. Even if I ask him, he'll say "It's supposed to be any old courses that you want".
In reality, you pick one class, and then you are forced to that class for several more semesters. Why can't he fucking explain that?
I feel like I'm being forced to be fucked in the ass by this university, and it pissed me off every God damn semester.

..

I gained 5 pounds since November started. I gotta start losing weight right now (because it's gonna be even harder when the holidays start) which is hard because I can't exercise yet.
-
Put together next semester's schedule in preperation for my advisor meeting tomorrow. One too many comm classes for my liking, but that's what I get for blowing through my COREs early on.
-
a little chilly today, but tolerable.
i played on my friend's copy of black ops, which increased my impatience for christmas to come around.
-
I just got a test back that I thought I failed.
I got a 'B'.…..Wow....I'd better count my blessings.
-
I think I get a paper back in English today. I got my fingers crossed for a good grade. And I have to go to Arabic today and the teacher will probably expect us to have a lot done despite not having class all last week.
-
I learned that I got a 95 on a Physics presentation from two weeks ago. That's cool.
In about an hour I have to go meet with my advisor to review my next semester schedule.

My computers arriving tomorrow morning…
...AND DAMN AM I OVER THE FUCKING MOON!
I think I'm going to take week off just to allow me to nerd my entire free time towards researching stuff that's well overdue.
The forum is a starting place I guess.
-
A rollercoaster day. Really bad moments and good moments. Life isn't peachy.
And now I'm dying out of joy. Thank you.
Also I'm so ashamed for the 2010 posters… The bad ones of course >__> FFS why am I one of them?

I need to wait another week or 2 to get my replacement power supply  . Anyway, have fun putting it together :ninja: .
I got a 94 on my English paper, up from 76 on my last paper.
-
Awesome! Happy for you :D Well done~
-
Other than finally feeling above the weather after a stomach flu, I found out I got a 93 and 97 on my Math and Japanese exams respectively.

I've been saving for this for two months now, so it better not disappoint in the slightest.

I got sick yesterday. fuck that. tomorrow I'll visit a friend who lives far away and on Sunday I'll visit my brother and go to MOTHERFUCKIN ZEBRAHEAD BITCH CONCERT YAAAAAAAAAAY
Yesterday I wanted to play Final Fantasy 8 again. Then I wanted to save the game and had to notice that I don't know where my Memory Card is… Well, it wasn't as good as I remembered it either way..
Today I think I will just sleep much to cure and watch Samurai Champloo. Thank god I only had to work for 5hours and tomorrow the same.
-
Cheers.

But can your new computer play Crysis?
Joke aside, my long-lost desire to build my own pc is rejuvenated.
hmmm… maybe...
-
Today I discovered that listening to Metallica's Kill 'Em All when you're sick and delirious can have some pretty awesome effects.
-
It is done.
After being confined to typing the last few months on a shitty ps3 controller im at bursting point. I need to write something as long winded and flamboyant as possible. Something that would put both greg and agog to shame.
But where do I start? A feel like the joker after recieving control of time and space. lol
Edit: this things blisteringly fast. Seriously its to the point where its already put this shit on the page before i even touched the keyboard.
-
I would test the new Crysis but I probably would not play it anyway. Can run Metro 2033 on maximum, though. That is when I GET MY PSU BACK.
-

Do an unbiased Beelzebub review.

I went to sleep today at 9 am. I slept until 4 pm. The first part of my "day" was hellish, because I was writing my lit final. The latter part has really only just begun, and it has been acceptable so far.
-
i was supposed to be on a 9:50am bus this morning to go to the gym. My thoughtful mother woke me up before she went to work at 8 so that it wouldn't be a rush for me to get ready.
What do you think happened? I fell back to sleep and didn't resurface until 1pm… i facepalmed hard and then lay down again, deciding to fake a stomach ache when she came back. >.>
-
My shirt was on backwards all day I just now noticed.
-
It's almost that dreaded time once again: class registration. Only a few minutes left to go…
UPDATE:
Well, didn't go quite as planned, but I did manage to knock off two more requirements. So now I'm looking at Comm. Studies Research, General Principles of Biology, the lab for that class, Social Problems, and World History Since 1500. Guess it could be worse.
-
I'm in my student union right now, trying to enjoy a frosty. And what happens? I'm on the third floor, and the ground floor has a small concert from some college band who don't realize that Jason Mraz singing, Chrono Cross sounding guitar, and drums that have no rhythm but are as loud as a fucking nuke DO NOT work.
If I wanted to listen to some loser band, I'd go to a Nickelback concert!
EDIT: Okay, now the guitar and drums have improved, but seriously, drop Nick Lachey and go for someone with a better singing voice for rock.
-
The wounds I got from my head repeatedally banging against a car window and breaking it are mostly healed up now. That means I was finally able to get a haricut. The long hair was really getting annoying (even though afros are awesome).
-
wrote a facebook worm for research purposes. Excellent results, successful experiment!
-
I`m a little bit drunk but there is more to come ~
it`s ladies night today. Uh babey~

Geeze I'm glad your a friend. What the heck kind of worm did you write?

Working during the holidays suuuuuucks.
Especially when you come down with a cold before several days of 10 hour shifts.
Like last year.
-
So my friend/roommate emailed me at 10pm last night telling me to bring the ps3 and all the liquor in the room to the animation studio, where he was pulling an all-nighter for his final project in a big empty workroom. Basically his all-nighter was not very productive because we spent it doing whisky shots and playing RE5 through a projector onto the giant wall with the volume turned up to shit-your-pants-when-a-zombie-screams-at-you loud.
And now we're doing it again tonight.
-
it's confirmed. for some reason i cannot ride backwards on a bus anymore without feeling sick afterwards. Never used to have this problem.
-
I broke a personal record: I puked 7 times in 3 hours.
-
Aww I hope you feel better soon. Was it something you ate (or drank) or is it a stomach virus?
