A new movie is always nice… But I hope it isn't rushed, considering it's announcement is pretty recently after movie 10...
I hope everything is done, to keep a good standard. Quality should be as good as movie ten, if not better.

I wonder how Toriko's will do. I really like how two of my favorite series are together in a double feature movie.
Not really sure how much I like the style at the moment.
SWEEEEEEEEEEEE~
That looks gorgeous! Those are probably the best 3D models based on a 2D property I've ever seen. I'll seriously faint if we get a One Piece PS3 game with those models.
I would love to see a PS3 game looking like this. I am not sure what type of game I would want it to be though.
But for a movie I wouldn't want to see this. I like the animation used by Toei in One Piece anime.

This "Movie" is only 50something minutes…If you're honestly expecting something like Movie 10 (which was only made special to celebrate the 10th anniversary), you're really in for a disappointment. It would be better to just look at it not as a movie, but more like a filler special or something like that.
Of course, I haven't seen this yet, but for 50 minutes it's clearly not gonna be anything groundbreaking...Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if OP was there just to push Toriko a bit more.

No it's not Movie 10 came out late 2009.
Spring 2011? By that time the anime will have caught up with the timeskip. If not good, atleast we know movie 12 will feature mansopp and his crew.
Toei is really pimping Oda's show now. He's always been popular but because of his more fickle fans who started watching one piece just for arcs like the war, enis lobby and shabondy he know has to appeal to them.
His more dedicated fans would never be ok with One Piece being rushed the way it is. Movie 8 and 9 happened roughly around enis lobby. I seriously didn't excpect much from it nor did I think that Oda would approve of making money by taking an arc done so long ago just to make money. Like Naruto which comes out with bullshit movies all with the same premise just to sweatshop money out of kids who like the show.
I was one of the few people who was happy One Piece was never popular in america. The more renown he get's the more he has to play down to that audience and keep them happy. That results in stress, changing characters and toei doing anything to get rich off the One Piece franchise. Thats all that is.

No it won't. Won't happen til probably September. Anime's generally between 11 and 12 months behind.
And that's of course assuming they don't make a sequel anime, which let's face it, is pretty unlikely that they won't :P

Sry, but I rather PLAY Unlimited Cruise than just watching a Movie with the same graphics!

Beyond the Strong World?! XD
Good grief. I seriously hope this isn't going to count at the eleventh film.
So the Toriko movie is in 3D, too? Even though it has glorious traditional animation? Why is the One Piece movie CGI, then? I'd like to see a 3D One Piece movie, but only if it has traditional animation like the Toriko movie instead of CGI. I mean, CGI can look fantastic too (the Pixar movies) but the bit I saw from this teaser trailer looks pretty bad.
One Piece 11 is going to cover War arc no?
ufbCRWy7AO4
Youtubed for your convenience.
This shouldn't be counted as the 11th film so title thread change GO!
I hope they're only making this thing to keep people happy for a while, so that the big animators can work for a full two years on an actual movie.
Dammit I want a traditional 2d animation… In stereoscopic 3D.
It's good thing it's Movie 11. Gamers are easily able to forget that the number 11 exists, so all is good. glares at the FF series
Spiderman Luffy. Awesome.
That looks like pure crap!

Oh, how ignorant of you. Just cause it's 3D graphics they look the same? The Unlimited games wish they looked this good. Graphics like this aren't even possible on the Wii, least, not as refined.
Also, you all are being unnecessarily harsh. Seems like you're hating on it simply cause it's CGI instead of 2D. God knows that a film can't be good simply cause it's CGI, we've all seen the train wreck of a studio that is Pixar. We should wait till we've seen more than a 20 second promo that was clearly made just to show off the look.

Looks like PS3 to me, which is a compliment. Now if they'd only give us that PS3/ 360 game we've been wantin'…
I was a little iffy about this at first, but seeing it all in motion really has me warming up to it somewhat. Also, the music is nice, I keep watching just to hear it.
Yeah, it doesn't look as bad as the first promo shot made me think, far from it. Still glad it's not "movie 11" though.

Lol, everybody is in denial.
Explain this to me then.
It's the 11th Wide-release Theatrical feature of the One Piece Anime.
What about it makes it "Not movie 11"?
Because it seems all anyone has to go on is "Because it's CGI" and "Because I don't want it to be".
I have seen video games that were better.
If they are not good at CGI why in the freaking world you do it ?
Do we have any clues on the storyline ?
It seems to be Luffy playing Tarzan.
Count me the odd one out but I really don't have a problem with this. Movies don't have to look better than videogames, I can just look at this as a piece of animation in general and be satisfied with it.
Also I'm on the side that believes this counts as One Piece Movie 11, I don't see why it shouldn't.
Oh and Toei Animation is capable of better CG check this out:
Yeesh, Movie or not, when you get more excited about Toriko than one piece in my case, and I haven't even seen or read Toriko, then I fear a major bomb happening. The only thing I wanna see is what new Brook stuff Cho will do. He was awesome in Strong World^^.
What about it makes it "Not movie 11"?
Maybe because it's been advertised everywhere, from Jump Magazine to website and trailer, as just "Jump Heroes Film" and never "One Piece movie 11", unlike every other previous movie. Sounds like reason enough.
Luffyspiderman lol
3D? You know what that means, que all the usual apers arguing that it's sold out or because it's in 3D everything's ruined already and nerdraging like their lives are at stake.
Even though we all hate this now, I bet 2 years later you guys will be asking Funi to dub this movie. XD
YOU KNOW WHAT LUFFY #1?! YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! We wanna hear who they chose for Brook already.

It's being advertised pretty much the same way any double feature is advertised…
Kinda like, you know, The first 3 "One Piece Movies"...
Ok then, since Rin wants to be a smart ass about this, let's just say to the fan base this isn't movie 11? k? Cool.
@LUFFY#1:

I think everyone just wants it to not be movie 11 so bad that they're just sort of pretending we know that it's not "Movie 11".
I wasn't trying to be a "Smart Ass" I was just saying, it's being advertised like a Double Feature. The exact same way the first 3 "Movies" were.
The advertising is not, in and of itself, proof positive that this isn't "Movie 11".
The way I see it. A "One Piece Movie" is a theatrically released One Piece film.
The Romance Dawn Story wasn't a "Movie" because it never got released in theaters. You only got to see it at a special event.
This WILL be in normal theaters… it's a "One Piece Movie" that you go to see in a theater...
Yikes. Stiff animation, the cheapest of cheap backgrounds (lighting, texturing, whats that?) barely emotive character models? I'd rather go play my Wii game, at least it was stylized within itself to bypass the system's shortcomings and deliver a rewarding visual experience.
This!? This looks amateurish at best
So wait, wait, wait…
We have had 10 One Piece movies not to mention the number of games, spin-offs, TV specials. unofficial OVAs, official OVAs, filler episodes and all that good stuff and crap and you guys don't want to accept this movie as the 11th one just because it doesn't match the standards of Movies 6-10 (despite some criticisms here and there on specific movies)? Look, the facts are that much like Dragonball that came before it One Piece churns out movies on a semi-regular basis just because it can. Not every movie has to be some manga-canon induced award winning near Ghibli experience. One Piece movies solely exist to bring more money into the franchise and Strong World was an exception to that rule, a way of rewarding the fans for their dedication to the franchise. A lot of you are making way too big a deal about this, if it's not the canon manga why the hell do you care?! The way I see it, it's not the anime right to capture the spirit of the manga, it's a privilege.
If they want to make some 3D money-making distraction THEY CAN! Just because you guys don't like the ideal doesn't stop Toei from doing it and just because "Strong World" came out doesn't mean Toei has to have all their succeeding films apply to that standard. In the end its just another One Piece theatrical release…much like the early films were.

Ok, but this isn't just a movie with One Piece, in the middle it will completely change to a whole new series. So at the very least you could just say "Jump Hero's film" instead of "Movie 11" which it was never advertised in ANYTHING saying that. It just said it would be a double film with Toriko. They figured that people would know it would not be a actual movie. I mean if you are going to consider this a actual movie, are you also going to consider the Toriko part as "Toriko movie 1"?
Well considering the limited budget and development time the animation staff probably had when working on this film it's pretty much expected to look that way it does. It's not Ratatoing bad at the very least. Still I can't help but retch at that camera pan of the crew as they stand there frozen solid, it's a cheap animation short cut that just doesn't look right with these 3-D models.

Did you just call Disney's Ratatouille a bad movie?
Whatever, I do think that the Nintendo Wii game has better graphics but my take on it is One Piece and I will check it out so…yeah...

Just like how Digimon Movie 2 is not Digimon Movie 2 and One Piece Movie 3 is not One Piece Movie 3? I guess we should call them the "DigiPiece Movie". Yup.
Hahahahahah!
It's always impressive how Toei can always find new ways to make the OP anime suck harder. This preview looks absolutely hideous…

And don't even get me STARTED on the Dragon Ball movies! Some of them were TRIPLE features!
So, there is no Dragon Ball Movie 9. I guess it's "DragonSlump Hakusho The Movie"?
It's One Piece Movie 11 get over it

Yes, well…it also doesn't mean we have to like the film, either. We want a film we're going to like and want to buy...not something we appear to not like or not want to buy.
Hope you guys enjoy movie 11, I will still be calling it the Jump Hero's film. I honestly don't give a damn if you wanna say otherwise, but I am not going to call a travesty like this a "One Piece Movie".
