Hmm…
Coribou/Caribou/whoever the fuck that guy is is most likely going to be a strong character that still ends up as fodder to the Strawhat crew. The Pacifistas were catalysts to show off their raw strength, but this guy'll be a good opportunity to show Luffy's essential immunity to Logias now. Don't really care what he is; would say wax (taken) or glue, but those aren't really logia material, and it doesn't look anything like mud.
The designs of the chapter were great; loved the underground mangroves.
However, Roger having Luffy's hat just fucking pissed me off. I fail to see how that was necessary really at all, and it seems random on top of everything. After 600 fucking chapters, don't you think SOMEONE would mention, at the very least, "Hey, that guy looks a lot like Roger when he was young..." or "He wears a Strawhat, just like Roger!" And assuming Roger discarded his hat upon becoming famous, wouldn't at least people like Crocus, who've known him forever, mention something about the hat similarity? The most we've heard has been "He's a lot like Roger," but you'd think after 10+ years of a series we'd get something a bit more concrete and explicit... seems really uncalled for in my eyes, and it sort of pisses me off. To me, it came off as some hackneyed plot twist just for the sake of having a plot twist.
Besides that, it was a great chapter. I sort of saw the whole Kuma situation coming, but I need to elucidate this: that panel of Franky meeting Kuma, with lights from the heavens shining down, is easily one of the best panels in the entire series. It was absolutely fucking intense. Still in awe at that picture.
