The Lemon thing is on the figurehead as well.. so either it represents the ship or maybe a lion themed character eventually.. if you want to really look into it.
And the only people who wear cloaks like that are the revolutionaries.. so maybe Sabo? If only he was missing a tooth.. then again he was only a kid and the cover page with him gown up doesn't show a gap even though his face is the wrong way.
Btw, was Klabautermann shown in those colors in OP? -

Btw, was Klabautermann shown in those colors in OP?Really, it's just Klabautermann. Nothing more, nothing less. (Rather, it's meant to represent the newest member of the show, not One Piece).
And I think (can't really remember) he did have those colors.

No. Lemon ship=Sunny, Lemon head following along=Merry. The Lemon heads are caricatures of the hosts of Mechaike. Specifically, Sunny is Yabe and Merry is Okamura. The crew members are caricatures of regulars who appear on the show. Since Yabe and Okamura are the hosts, they are represented by the ships. Do you get the parallel?
The one in the cloak is the "new member" that Mechaike is/was holding auditions for. It has absolutely nothing to do with new crew members. So . . . no looking for clues there, please.
I'm not even sure how many of you guys were serious about that. It's just a drawing Oda did because he's a big fan of the show and is excited about the search for a new member. On Mechaike. Once again, the drawing really has nothing to do with new crew members in One Piece, and doesn't even belong in this thread.
Stop putting too much speculation into this.

Stop putting too much speculation into this.
Yeah, I thought I was too. I still think Sabo will join eventually though.
-
People will really look for anything to support their bad theories.
Except, y'know, facts.
-
It's so comical how people take a stupid drawing so seriously that it inspires me to pee on their heads out of laughter.
-
Someone really needs to take that Jinbei scene in the anime in where he pops out like a whack-a-mole and use it whenever bad theories pop out. :ninja:
-
You know I think after all this is said and done someone should make a flow chart of this thread showing where everyone who was wrong where they went wrong.

this idea i am quite interested in… do we happen to have any people here qualified to make one?

I'm sure there are people out there who can - it's just if they have the desire to or not.

For some weird reason most of you seems to think Perona's chances reduced in the last chapter.
Me and RPGJay disagree. The only thing the last chapter proved is that Zoro and Perona are two separate beings. They are no conjoined twins. They are not sewed together. Also they don't walk around hand in hand.
May be a big plot twist for AP. To me and RPGJay that was just common sense.
-

Just like Sanji and Ivankov? and Chopper and the bird :D.

Guys, Herakles came back with Usopp. He was just hiding. They are no conjoined twins. They are not sewed together. Also they don't walk around hand in hand.

Don't drag RPGJay into the pit of death with you. We don't need to lose anymore innocent souls to the darkness.

Dragged to the pit of death? That would imply TiT could do anything but spout out nonsense.
Seriously speaking though, Perona wasn't mentioned at all by Rayleigh or Shakky. She wasn't seen anywhere near that fisherman. Any sane person would realize Perona's chances are zero.
Then again, that in itself would imply Perona supporters were sane.
Perona fans, just realize your fate. You're all dead. Just accept your fate.
-
If Perona joins it will be in the next chapter. I hope everyone can wait three days for seeing noone to join on Saboady.
-
Perona was on the boat Zoro sank. The End.
-
I support that theory.
-
What is making Perona more important than Kerakles, MIhawk, the Okamas, the bird and some others? She was just used as plot device for the seperation stories.
Do people really think that Perona will join now and overshadow the big ass reunion of the SHs… Really for now the one and only focus will be on the SHs and no one else till the next arc
-

As we've determined in the last couple of pages, it's only because she's a woman.
There isn't a logical reason other than that.

I can add to that:
Pro:
She loves Fun.
She has her own Jolly RogerContra:
She wouldn't ask the Straw Hats for help or be in any situation she needs help, so as a former enemy, that is a big no. -
She has tits and her pink hair reminds people of cotton candy. What her support doesn't know is that Perona's a trap!
-

Chopper is gonna mistake her hair for Barbapapa (cotton candy) then Eat it. thus her Wanted poster would be titled "Perona - Pet food"
-
I figure the next time we see Perona is when Moria makes his big comeback.

Let me give you a better version:
Pro-arguments:- ….............................
- ….............................
- ?
- !
- Wow
Anti Perona arguments:
- Lack of significance
- Has no motive whatsoever to follow Zoro and in the process, abandon her dreamland.
- Wasn't hinted at all in becoming more important outside of her role of helping Zoro. So, she doesn't even deserve a farewell like Hancock and worse, the okamas got a farewell: Okamas>Perona
- Wasn't given any special treatment compared to Heracles, Heradas(I don't know the exact spelling) and the rest of the characters that were assigned with the Straw Hats. In short, she's nothing but a random character utilized by Oda to accompany one of the crew members during the separation. Did it have to be Perona? To an extent, yes because it was Mihawk's island and it would make sense if no one other than Mihawk inhabited that island to correspond with Mihawk's nature of being, well, a person who doesn't like/not interested in interacting with other people. So, what did Oda do? Send someone there so that someone will interact with Zoro seeing as during those times, Mihawk was at the assembly in preparation for the war. So, the person that interacts with Zoro must not be from the island as well: Enter Perona. Why didn't Oda just make new characters that got there by other means? Well, with Perona at least we, the readers, know how she got there so it saves time(Oda doesn't have to make random backstories) for something that is, to an extent, insignificant(Making backstories for people who interact with the crew).
-
I figure the next time we see Perona is when
MoriaBuggy makes his big comeback.I support this theory.
-
Trust me Gol D. Silvers, I know what you mean.
Perona supporters never learn, but in a few short days, this will all end.
…Preferably with Perona drowning in a shallow ditch somewhere.
-
Nah, Perona shouldn't be drowning in a shallow ditch. She should be burnt at the stake, then they feed the ashes to bulls, then they burn the resulting Perona bullshit.
-

For them, the joyride is about to end…
For us, it never started to begin with and were just watching them fantasize.
Perona was on the boat Zoro sank. The End.
A pretty interesting theory there but I'm on the "Used by Zoro as a boat to get to Sabaody Archipelago" camp. In other words, Zoro already killed her and used her corpse to get to SA.
-

I support this theory.
Buggy doesn't need a comeback though, he's already on top of the world baby!
-
I liked it better when we were talking about the picture.
-
Cause it was just us shooting down stupid theories?
Yeah, I kinda liked that better. Right now is way too tense.
It's like trying to sleep at Christmas eve as a kid. You know what's going to happen soon, but you just can settle down and wait for it. You want to make time go faster just so something might happen.
-
Big reason why Perona isn't going to join, check out the last chapter title 9 pirates, doubtful Oda is going to have a reunion ruined by having Perona be there….
-
@Zik:
I liked it better when we were talking about the picture.
A Lemonhead crewmate could actually be amusing. It was just fanart by Oda essentially, but if there was a race of food people! Screw Bonney and Perona's hair reminding us of cotton candy when we could have a cotton candy (wo)man! Of course, Chopper would present problems with that particular food person…
Wait, I've got it! Fake Robin is a cucumberwoman and will join! :ninja:In all seriousness, a mer/fishman and some other random human/something else hybrid would be cool. I like the giants, but don't really care for one on the crew for some reason. Plus a giant would be hard to put into group shots of the crew...
-
Wait, I've got it! Fake Robin is a cucumberwoman and will join! :ninja:
And she'll also be the little sister the crew desperately needs!:ninja:
Are you also a recently converted pure-cucumberRobin fan?In all seriousness, a mer/fishman and some other random human/something else hybrid would be cool. I like the giants, but don't really care for one on the crew for some reason. Plus a giant would be hard to put into group shots of the crew…
Plus a giant won't fit through do-Oh wait, that argument is already gone, proceed.:ninja:
-
hmm lookin through the price list of slaves, a dwarf would be cool
