Im disappointed that Luffy is just following gold roger's path while being aided by gold roger's allies. It just seems like Luffy isn't paving his own path. He seems to be in the shadow of roger and I'd rather luffy's adventure be more unique.
-
Mods did work, but I really was disappointed that Wiper didn't join at the time. Now, it doesn't really bother me… Looking back though, there wasn't really anything he would have done on the ship but fight so I understand.
-
I'm disappointed that Oda is waiting 'til the FI arc before Jimbei joins.
-
I was disappointed that the Red Line made it's re-appearance at chapter 490 while it was a tall cliff instead of a flat land, making it that the first half of the Grand Line will not be 1000 chapters long but then how the fuck will they go over the Red Line? Even if it was a dry land, how will they cross it? Unless Luffy and his gang decides to trash Mariejois, they would have to lose the ship and they won't get any permisson to cross.
-
Did you miss the memo about passing through FI to reach the other side of the Red Line aka the New World?

I..I…
I'm speechlessAre we reading the same manga?

I must've missed that, I was talking about the Red Line appearing at chapter 490 instead of say chapter 790 and that it's a cliff instead of a dry land, forgetting to add that. I was disappointed that Fishman Island was not in the middle of the ocean but then they can't cross over the Red Line with Mariejois in the way.

How on earth did you miss that? Are you skim reading or something? Also, why should they reach the Red Line at chapter 790? Is there some significant piece of information that I am missing here? :/

Since it is very hard to distinguish between a troll post and a stupid post on AP, could you clarify which it is before I explain, please?
Okay, I'll try to explain it more clearly. Before chapter 490, I had a theory that the Straw Hat Pirates will spent over 1000 chapters in the first half of the Grand Line and another 1000 chapters in the the New World. I got this Idea from the East Blue Saga when it was over 102 chapters long.
Meanwhile I thought that Fishman Island was at the middle of the ocean while the Red Line was suppose to be a strip of a flat land.
The deal here is that the Straw Hat Pirates would beat up all seven Shichibukais on their own islands, cross the Red Line, fight Mariejois and any bandits there and then go to the New World.
But then that was all blown down in chapter 490 when the Red Line turns out to be a 10,000 meter cliff while Fishman Island was under the Red Line. I was not the only one thinking like that, many other people has a similer theories so I would look back to my old theory and say how dumb it was beause:
1. One Piece is not Naruto or Bleach, many people always seems to forget that.
2. If the Red Line was a flat land, I don't Mariejois would be dumb enough not to defend the shorelines from invading pirates.
3. There has to be an easy way to cross the Red Line without bumping into Mariejois.
4. There is a reason why Fishman Island is not in the middle of the ocean. Oda already explained that it's halfway through the Grand Line but many people think it's in the middle of the ocean
5. The story would be predicatible and reptitive if the Straw Hat beats up every Shichibukais and Admirals before going to Mariejois. That would be a waste of time and it's WAY too complex.
6. How will the ship cross the Red Line if is was a flat land and Fishman Island is not under it?
7. Mariejois would not grant the Straw Hat Pirates to cross and even if they do they have to abandon Thousand Sunny and get a new ship.
8. However it's been over 109 chapters since they arrived at the Red Line and they are still not in the New World yet so this can mean that Oda will pull the similer thing by the time they reach to the end of the New World.

Why the hell did you think the Red Line was flat when we saw it in chapter 101 and it was a huge sheer mountain wall then too.
-

Yeah, I know. Other people thought the similer way too. These people would say that while the Red Line is a tall cliff on this side, it should be flat on the other side. I swear, I heared them saying that 5-4 years ago.
"The Red Line is a flat land on the other"
"How will they cross it? I bet Franky has to add wheels to the ship"
Etc. Etc.
But now I don't care about it since it won't make sense if it was a flat land.
-
Sir, I'm afraid you're making no sense…

What are you talking about ? Of course Luffy is following his own path. There are some similiraties between the two but also enough differences to say, that the path followed by Roger isn't the same as the path followed by Luffy.

@JERK:
Why are Finnish and German having this same translation issue, they aren't remotely related languages. Is it pure coincidence?
I dont, I have bought all 53 finnish OP volumes except 5,24 and 33 and I dont take translation names seriosly because I have them already set in stone from english translations.
But names are mostly correct and if altered they still fit quite well, I like reading OP at finnish because its well translated and every charecter has diffrent way to speak, and main reason is because its so great to read OP everywhere instead just in front of computer.
Some location/places translations are bit off but I dont let it bother myself…
But damn I start to rage when I hear Zoro called Zolo or Luffy called Ruffy...
-
i understand he would be willing to do that. i just dont think he HAD to. its hard to swallow cuz he's one of the strongest men in the world and he got his arm taken by a really weak sea king in the weakest sea.
and what about haki? why didn't he use it?
he is now but he wasnts then and then was like 10 years ago or even more
