I really wish Nami had her old/realistic proportions. I do like the hair though.

Nobody in One Piece has "realistic proportions". Oda's style has just been changing in the span of 13 years. And I love his bizarre proportions, including the curvy hourglass women and the gorilla sized characters with chicken legs XD

As for my pick, Nami's look has to be my favorite. I actually like everyone's look, Franky's has to grow on me, because it just looks odd in the color spread. Robin and Usopp are definitely up there for me as well. And I can't wait to see more of Zoro, I was actually hoping he would grow some scruff, but oh well, Sanji did so that's nice too <3

Brook makes me think of Jimi Hendrix/ one of the Scorpions. I don't mind that Chopper is the same, I like the little change on his hat.

And I feel like Luffy has changed slightly, his face looks less childlike, but I get the feeling he'll still be the same Luffy that we all love, but a million times more badass.

Honestly, I don't really understand where this is coming for. You can look plenty mature with short hair. There's never been a standard that says LONG HAIR = OLDER MORE MATURE PEOPLE.

Maybe she didn't get a breast enlargement. Perhaps it's just because Oda has resorted to just getting rid of her shirt altogether.

I really like Usopp's. I feel like that one showed he matured the most, which he probably needed. Franky's is sick imo, the lack of hair is fine. And nobody can hate on the king of soul with the shark guitar.

Ussop is obviously the best. He looks more manly and cool. A huge improvement!

Zoro's new look is cool too. He would've been my first choice, but unlike Ussop, he was already badass lol. I don't think he lost his right eye. It's just a scar like Rayleigh.

Nami's still looking fine and sexy . The long hair isn't much change imo. Also I was wondering, where do the black bubbles come from? She didn't took out anything instead if you look carefully, at the panel where she grabs Ussop to leave, she was only holding some shopping bags. O.o Can't wait to find out .

Robin seems to have change a lot in a very subtle way. She still looks the same, but her new clothing style shows she became more cheerful and colorful. She isn't wearing a "mature lady" kind of clothes but more of a "smiling, happy, colorful" kind.

Sanji… lol I like his new look, but what makes me laugh is how his left eyebrow's spiral is pointing at the same direction as the other one. Imagine if we could see both his eyes XD. No wonder he's always hiding one eye.

Brook looks like a real rockstar lol. I like it . But, like someone mentioned here, it's probably just his stage look and when he'll be back on the ship, he'll revert to his formal look (which I hope it'll also be different in a good way).

Franky looks like a fricking gorilla O.O... I like it! XD Although, I do miss his old haircut. It was really cool. I hope this buzz cut is just part of transformation like some others have mentioned and yes, I also believe his huge ginormous gorilla arms are just accessories since it's going over his shirt.

Chopper has barely change which I'm ok with it. His new hat put over his older hat makes a pretty cool and stylish combination. It gives an adventurous look kinda like what Luffy wore in the Strong World movie.

Luffy didn't change much either. When I analyzed his face, he didn't seem different from the previous chapters but somehow he gives off a more mature kind of vibe. I dunno, maybe it's just me. The scar on his chest looks brutal O.O I mean even Crocodile's hook didn't leave any scar and yet Luffy somehow managed to get a huge one. I wonder what kind of monster did that to him. We'll probably find out later.

All in all, I'm happy with the new looks. I like all of them. I was wondering if at the end of One Piece Oda might make a new drawing similar to this one but with everyone's final look. Since the first one was for the beginning of the manga and this one is for the halfway point. Meh, who knows.

The common consensus is that the scar is left over from Akainu's magmafisting and Law's subsequent patch-job.

I'll have to see more of the crew to give my verdict. But so far, I'm really liking Brook's new appearance. He has the whole Michel Polnareff/Elton John look.

Robin's not too far behind him. Something about her hairdo, and sunglasses really give a new edge to her character.

Usopp was the one who surprised me the most when I first saw him, in a good way, though. To me, his appearance has the most drastic change, especially in how much muscle he gained.

Generally like all the changes except Franky's and Brook's. People are saying that he will revert back to the Gentleman when he returns to the ship and if so I am fine with his new style for the time being. Love everything about Franky except his hair… I know he is old but damn, he is already balding.

My 2 cents (from best to worst):

Ussop - He looks at acts like a badass while still retaining is goofy nature.

Zoro - It's subtle but it works. Having a new scar was expected but I also like, what appears to be, a slicked back hair style. He also actually looks older.

Nami/Robin - The cup size increases I could do with or without but the major change here is the hair. For Robin, her new hairstyle make her look less…broody and Nami looks less mischievous, which I guess could be taken as a positive or a negative, depending on where you're coming from but I think it makes her less of a thief and more of a businesswoman (which I think is the directions she's been moving in anyway).

Sanji - First word that comes to mind...Suave.

Franky - Could go either way. Have to wait to see more of him

Brook - I like the outfit change...but they change outfits every arc anyway so no big deal. I wonder if he'll keep that rockstar personality though.

Luffy - Obvious scar from magma fist but otherwise...meh. I didn't expect a major change but he could have gotten longer (or shorter) hair, a wristband, an earring, something... The scar seems like a cop-out tbh. Ditto Brook on the change in outfit.

Chopper - A hat cover...? Ditto with the clothing thing again. I assume that because he's the merchandising mascot, they didn't want to change him much.

Worst in my opinion would be Chopper. Is it just me or did Oda mange to find a way to make him cuter (which is bordering on overkill at this point)?

Usopp and Franky ALL THE WAY. Usopp was badass before, and he is WAY more badass now. Franky looks way different, bigger, and hellboyish with his red fists of hell :P

EDIT: On a side-note. Has anyone noticed that Nami looks exactly like a mermaid now except with no tail-fin? Maybe it's just me, but picturing her with a tail-fin matches her perfectly, almost like a hotter version of Disney's Little Mermaid…

Zoro: the facial scar i didn't see happening but i don't think he lost an arm. let's hope his swordmanship has improved.

I still got a hint of him being a gentleman in this chapter because he uses the word "fine" to describe his music. I think for now he is just dressed like that for show and that he acts like a rockstar for show as well. I think he really might drop at least the boa. If he dropped that, he would still look like a gentleman because of his cravat.

For me it was a toss up between Usopp, Robin and Franky. Franky I need to see more of to be certain I like the way Oda handles his new design. Usopp looks great all-round but…

Robin is just gorgeous now. Love the hair, the clothes, pretty much the whole package. As much as I liked her previous iteration, there was always some little niggling thing that put me off. That's gone now. :wub:

I think it's fair to criticise Chopper's non-change, to an extent. Yeah, he has his transformations, but all the characters have moves they use in battle we'll be looking forward to seeing. I'm just not a fan of the addition to the hat, either.

They're not Zoan type users and I think the rumble ball is specifically designed for Chopper's body and DNA, so even if they were Zoan DF users there's no telling how'd the rumbles balls would affect them.
