Yeah, I was actually surprised about Killer's knowledge, he seemed to be a generic murderer like Kidd (Don't get me wrong, Kidd is awesome, but having two of them is kinda stupid)
Even then, if one of the Supernovas has to be killed, it should be either him or Urouge

Meh, Capone didn't do much for me. He had a cool power, but almost all of the supernovas have a cool power. He, Urouge and Apoo barely have a story to go with them right now, so it makes sense that one of those three would be chosen to kick the bucket.

Just because he was recommended doesn't mean he'll get the position. 5-Stars likely have the final say and the plot obviously points to Akainu getting the position because things only get worse before getting better.

Train upcoming marines who by the end of the series will fight alongside Luffy against the big bad at the end. At least I hope for that is the route Oda is taking with their roles as trainers.

I agree with Urouge though, that guy seems to have a nice power (I've seen 4Chan speculating on some kind of Mantra fruit, and its likely its something like that), but yeah, he's the weaker link of the Supernovas

To those of you who would rather have Akainu take Sengoku's position than Aokiji.

Why would a dog who only believes in his own justice be promoted to a position of influence. He's already shown to be completely ruthless, someone who could care less about the people beneath him if they question or interfere with his justice.

On the other hand you have Aokiji who has shown he has compassion for other people, regret for his past actions, and a willingness to evolve and change his views on people as time goes by. This is the type of person you want as a leader.

Also from the pirate's perspective the World Government is indeed a vile organization, and sure they have done countless things that validate that point, but above all else they do what they believe is best for the preservation of the peace they have created. Someone like Akainu who destroys a ship containing innocent civilian passengers would not do well in a position of influence within the World Government.

My point being Akainu is nothing more than a rabid dog who attacks anything that he believes encroaches on his justice. Kinda reminds me of Hitler.

Edit: If Akainu does get the position it would be a horrible choice on the World Government and Oda's behalf

On a slightly unrelated note I'm wondering how Enel reacted to his mantra when it first developed. If he was young he probably freaked out more than Coby since his DF amplified it(assuming he also ate his DF when he was young).Maybe he freaked out so much he destroyed Bilka and took some time alone to master it before heading to Skypeia.

Great chapter, thanks! So the message is not to reunite soon but something else, i get that from the reaction of Nami. She´s saying that Luffy is being selfish and he´s not thinking about how they feel, maybe he´s asking the crew to do something before trying to get in contact. That´s the best clue about the message we have in the chapter.

But I was surprised that Kidd was more of the rocker insane guy and Killer was more of the smart guy
But yeah, as I said before, it wouldn't make much sense to have him killed, although it would have been a far better choice than the awesomeness reincarnated that is Capone Bege

Since this is a manga and not a mafia movie, the fact that he looks like the Godfather doesn't give much to the manga itself…if we want every character that has a cool power or a cool characteristic to be important, then this manga will never end...most of the novas will probably disappear quite fast, don't forget that this is the NW, so you'll have to get over it...

Sanji - Trains with Ivankov in Newkama kenpo, and adds to his fighting style. Possibly learns to hit women.
Zoro - defeats ALL of the baboons himself and grows stronger as a result.
Chopper - Makes his way to SA. Not sure about training for him.
Nami - Trains with stolen Weather equipment
Franky - fixes himself after the explosion using Vegapunk technology
Brook - Brakes out of captivity. Not sure besides that
Robin - Stays with Revolutionaries for a time, possibly trains and learns more of the Bridge and history.

Also, I hope Capone was the Supernova to get crushed by BB. Besides him, the rest of his crew were fodder. I hope Oda at least tells us his DF ability at some point. The giant floating rock does look like Earthquake + Gravity control combo. And finally! Hawkins pulls out his sword. Too bad we didnt get to see him strike down Brownbeard.

They seem to have done pretty well for themselves the past 800 years, and even if some decisions they have made may not be the best I can't think of any absolute terrible decisions they have made either.

So, about Luffys message…if all Strawhats can just navigate with the Vivre cards, then the message can't be about a place. With cards, Strawhats already can know where to go and all they would have had to do is place the card where they want them to come. That is, if they all have one. I haven't seen or heard about it, but forum members say Strawhats have those cards so I believe them.

If the Strawhats have the cards, then the message has to be about a time. Not a place, but a meeting time.

If that's the case, then a timeskip of undetermined length is inevitable. All the Strawhats, except Chopper maybe, are way too scattered and way too in middle of different things for regrouping to happen in a small window of time.

Look at this page and closely at the Luffy's bounty. You can see it's still kinda the number "3". Of course, maybe they didn't changed his bounty yet.

Showing Brandnew means a raise in Luffy's bounty, since he's the one who assign's them.

Don't get me wrong, some are gonna last far longer than others, and I don't doubt that Capone won't be one of the last ones surviving, but I seriously hope for him to at least survive while 4 or 5 supernovas die before being his turn

It's been stated several times that they are the pirates who will define the new era. One of them dying really quickly and being cast out of the story would be going against an established plot point.

Eh, I think you're missing a point. Akainu seems to be the one most likely to get the job because he's the one most likely to do whatever the government says. He's one of the number 1 villains in the story right now.

Yes, Aokiji would be a better fleet admiral, a continuation of Sengoku…. But Akainu brings something new. A man who believes in absolute justice, with absolute power over the marines. That's a good villain, and I don't believe it would be a mistake by the World Government or Oda.

There's no way Oda is gonna take away the credibility of Blackbeard by saying he's after someone and then having no one killed or defeated soon

The only ways for the chosen Supernova to survive long is:

For Blackbeard to have mercy on him (Highly unlikely)
For Blackbeard to try to get him on his crew (Highly unlikely)
Wait some chapters until Blackbeard finally hunts the Supernova down, kinda like when Ace took sometime to find Blackbeard or when Shanks took some time to have the meeting with Whitebeard, although the situations were slightly different there)

Edit: I just seriously hope Blackbeard isn't after Capone Bege, I just love Bege so much ;_;

I really hope not. Everything exciting is happening now, in a year who knows how far the supernovas would have gotten. Heck in a year Blackbeard will probably rule the seas. I'm really against a years worth of training because for most of the strawhats it's not about being the strongest but achieving dreams and adventure. That won't be done by sitting around lifting some weights. I hope they get out there now and do some more crazy shit.

I never really expected to see Kong, he's… scary... but he seems to be fair.
Garp and Sengoku both "leaving" I wonder what will they do after this. I doubt they will just sit in Marineford and wait for the news. At least Garp, he HAS to do something, just because he's such a nice character. (Hope Pwngoat or whatever will stay with them. It's just too cute...) Also the cover is awesome! And Aokiji Gensui... sounds good. Better than Akainu Gensui...

Also, now, it's getting clearer and clearer... the Vice-Admirals are indeed strong. Now I really want to see them do something other than shout: FIRE! (especially Doberman, Strawberry(<-also an explanation behind this ridiculous name), Onigumo). And if Aokiji becomes Fleet Admiral, who will be the third Admiral. I say Strawberry, just because it looks like he's sleepy all the time. Not Onigumo for sure, one "absolute-absolute-justice" admiral is enough.

Wonder how will the Strawhats reunite.
