While the chapter was good as usually, there's one thing that really bothers me: That Sabo seems like one of the worst filler characters ever, unless he for some reason survived and will appear later in the story.
Dadan is still acting in present, and the flashback served to explain how Luffy and Ace became brothers and had a close bond. But why did Sabo really need to take part in the flashback? His story seems just like a filler in the flashback. The brother thing could easily be resolved without him.

i loved the fact that luffy is out of his slump. Jimbei did a good job kicking luff's ass in "gear". I really liked the way jimbei keeps luffy level headed. Garp is back and getting chewed out by Dadan. Dadan really did care for her boys and it shows on garps bloody face

Do people still think Jimbei will join the crew? He just threw Luffy around like he was nothing, and you still think he'll join the crew? He's leagues stronger than Luffy- who, as captain, is the strongest member of the crew by default.

They are metaphorically members. But they are not what really matters, there for every inch, and actual protagonists who we follow. Just supporting characters.Luffy wasn't fucking counting her whatsoever.

well we don't really know the circumstances surrounding sabo's life, if he is alive in the first place. any number of things could have prevented him from contacting them. i mean it's not like dragon is looking to meet luffy even though he could have plenty of times, so i'm sure if sabo does show up again he'll have his own reasons why.

Why were they not shown in the panel with the crew members then? They are metaphorical/honorary as Zephos said.
Anyways, I don't think this chapter necessarily rules out a time skip - he still needs to get stronger even after a reunion. Even the power of teamwork won't be enough to overcome admirals.

Something about this chapter just makes me feel like there's not going to be anymore crewmates. It just feels like after this lengthy separation of Luffy and the other 8 crewmembers, another addition would only act as a third wheel so to speak.

This chapter was beautiful from start to finish.
Not only did we touch on present day Garp, Dadan and Luffy's village and their reactions to everything, but we also finally shifted the focus back on the missing crew. I have no complaints on everything that has happened. I mean, the war overall was epic, and it was great to have Buggy, Crocodile and co around, but I have missed the original crew. Oh and the very short Luffy VS Jinbei was well done as well.
I do honestly hope though that Oda will bring back Buggy, Mr. 3, Crocodile, Mr. 1 and Iva later on again. One of the things I've been curious about for a while now is how an interaction between Buggy and the rest of Luffy's crew who has never met him (everyone but Luffy, Nami and Zoro) would go.
Here's also hoping we learn of Mr. 2's fate and also that we see Caimie and co in Sabaody.
So many things to look forward to. Can't wait. I do think a few more things will happen on Amazon Lily first though.

Unlike many on the forum, I didn't actually cry in this chapter (and a lot of the previous chapters made me weep like a baby)
However, this is probably the most heartwarming chapter in quite a while.
-Dadan showing that she cared about Luffy and Ace a lot more than I thought
-Marco thanking Shanks at the funeral
-Shanks (mentally) telling Luffy that it's okay to cry at times like these, and wishing him to pull through
-Jinbei reminding Luffy that he has many MANY other people he cares about
-Ace being relievedSo now, the speculation about One Piece becoming ''darker'' or Luffy becoming ''emo'' are almost-officially proven false ;)

WHEN will some one finally just say to Luffy, "You have haki. You need to learn how to use it." It's just so annoying that so many characters have seen him use it and not one of them has told him about it.

I don't cry or show much emotion in any of OPs chapters. Not even the flashbacks to SHs past. But this..this didn't make me cry either, but it was more of a…hand covering mouth moment followed by a FUCK YEAH!
Oda pulled this chapter off well
I laughed at Luffy biting Jinbei that was awesome but what really got me was when Luffy was counting. That was the greatest moment I've ever seen in OP.

Are we sure that Luffy counted 10 on his fingers? One of his hands is cut off in the last panel there.
I'm probably gonna guess….sigh Perona...and I dunno, Hatchi. If he did count ten, than he considers someone who is not part of the crew yet to be part of the crew. Someone he'll force to join, I guess.
Of course, this is all my guessing. I guess.
