Oh Harvey Birdman. You only did like, six 15 minutes episodes a year.
But they were quality.
Better title.
Clerks…
The show that should've NEVER been on ABC.
To think they had Alec fucking Baldwin as the "villain" too :V
Yeah, tell me about it. That was probably the biggest mistake they made, considering how "clean" ABC presents themselves. Can't say it should've been on Fox, either, considering they would have canceled it without fail after throwing it around different timeslots and saying "Well, ratings are falling!"
I agree with this pretty much.
The show has taken a more liberal stance, and moreover Brian has always been shown to be very liberal. I don't expect him to be happy that he just had sex with a transsexual, but I was hoping that instead this episode wasn't going to make for the cheap "It's a trap!" style joke and instead go for maybe Brian coming home and defending Ida, because Brian is supposed to be open. I guess one could argue that it was funny the other way around with him meeting her at the bar and …yeah... but yeah, this episode just seemed to target transsexuals and nothing more.
I'm like "Why, Family Guy?" Their gay episodes always seemed to show more sympathy.
Brian is a fucking dog, he should be the last person who should find someone disgusting.
I find it funny how Family Guy fags call Stewie going from some deranged twisted baby who loves causing harm to people and goes on about how Louis is vile to him talking about his penis fetish and talking like he's high or something character developement.
I'm not going to lie. I've given up on Family Guy, along with majority of television.
Dexter needs to start its new season.
Well, Family Guy continues to be classy by doing a five minute bit with Peter pooping his pants every time he hears a certain joke.
Other than it's a decent episode so far.
The reflection pool joke was pretty good, IMO.

Oh wow…
Is Seth trying to get cancelled :V?

Funny you should mention that, considering he did once bring up how he uses his tongue for toilet paper in a much earlier episode.
Oh wow…
Is Seth trying to get cancelled :V?
Regardless of what he does, people will bring in ratings to the show and write it off as "hilarious." Fox won't cancel their cash cow.

Well, it was actually an okay episode, in that, aside from the poop joke, they didn't show anything obscenely vulgar or dumb.
Also, it was pretty neat seeing Cleveland back with the gang.
Yup, Seth actually put on a surprisingly good night last night. I actually found all 3 shows to be enjoyable last night.
Agreed, the episode last night was enjoyable. No flashbacks. The writers don't know how to use flashbacks anymore, and they did the write thing by stop using them. I gotta say, this season so far is alot better than season 7.
Brian is a fucking dog, he should be the last person who should find someone disgusting.
Yeah, but I just thought of something ridiculous.
Lois was opposed to gay marriage in one episode, yet in another she was married to Brian, a dog.

I guess bestiality is more permissible than gay marriage. Ah, what a world we live in.

Last night's episode was decent, but it doesn't excuse the awfulness that were the 2 episodes before it.

I haven't seen those.
Don't .
So, Tonight's the season finale. It's another one of those Star Wars Parodies. I don't really know what to expect, as I've never seen one of those (Star Wars) episodes. But I guess we'll see.
The 2 you were refering to were the Stewie-Brian bank valut and the Peter+kids episodes right?
Please for godsakes dont watch the Brian Stewie episode, it was just so depressing and bad, its a fucking comedy not a serious melodrama.
The Episode was ok
the elephant was funny,but random
OT: i dont know much about Movie 5,just the tauntaun(Sp?) and the Walker droids..but nothing more. XD
At least theres a 3rd episode planned for the Star wars segment episodes.
Go watch it. Empire Strikes Back is the absolute best Star Wars movie.
UK started showing some new episodes again. Caught two last night. Abysmal.
First episode was about the Evil Monkey actually being nice (A joke that was old after the second time they done it getting a whole ep…woo.)
Second episode was about Peter being tricked by a Regan impersonator which plot disappeared when Quagmire had a baby. The Less said about the Stewie and Brian having retarded clones the better.
lol wow. your behind, local. I missed last night's episode. …......
i don't care. :P
yeah UK is about a series or two behind you guys lol
Actually…we're not any season behind. We are on the latest season. Just behind on episodes. You also missed a couple of new episodes which aired the other week which were "Road to the Multi-verse" and Family Goy.
I do admit....those 2 episodes last night were kinda...meh. The monkey.. & the retarded clones......although i did kinda enjoy the Miley cyrus bit.. and i loved the Flintstones car chase...
So, did anyone see the season premiere last night? I just dont know what to make of it.
I did I thought it was hilarious lol XD
You know last season's horrible one hour special that made everybody lose faith in Family Guy? They should have used this one hour special instead. It was actually amazing, no preaching, no cut away gags, great story and good jokes. It could have used a little more jokes, but I was so interested in the story I didn't really mind.
I didn't even know the season premier was last night. I guess I'll watch it on Hulu.
I found it very entertaining. Not neccesarily funny, but I was glued to the screen. It was very predictatble, except for who the killer was. The ending scene, I saw it coming all the way from who shot Mr. Burns ten years ago. But I didn't mind that, i genuinely enjoyed it. Best episode in years in my opinion. Check it out.
According to McFarlane's twitter the episode IS Canon, which is good. Loved the episode, as said no flashbacks, a good plot and well….IT'S CANON! I was really afraid that after such a good episode he would pull another 'Lois kills Stewie' where it was all a fantasy or something, but it is in fact real.
With Family Guy, As far as I remember for the most part dead characters don't just come back. I mean, there were those two guys, with the one that played piano but he was a ghost, and that was the last time we saw them. So If this is true, no more annoying James Woods episodes(hopefully).
Also props to Stewie in the end. I'm pretty sure this is the first time we saw him mention him wanting to kill Lois since 'Lois kills Stewie' so hopefully he can bring that back this season.
That episode was good. I almost couldn't believe it was Family Guy I was watching.
And Stewie is back.

But James Woods is the only good character left on the show besides Adam West.
James Woods? Good?
Uh, piece o' candy.
Still, I have to agree that a lot of characters or character related jokes are getting old. Mayor West is the only one who always cracks me up.
That episode was actually really good. But it was so very much un-family guy like. Much less "couple people standing around talking" and actually had a story and plot, and there weren't any cutaways so they were actually able to have a grounded reality and make you care about what happened. Course… probably not gonna last any longer and we'll get back to abstract craziness soon.
And according to Seth McFarlene's Twitter page:
"Yes, tonight's episode is "canon". Diane, Muriel, etc. are gone. To be continued..."
Yeah the premiere was really good, I was pleasantly surprised.
I think now is a good time for someone to change the title of this thread.

It'd have to not suck first.
Well that's not happening.
So I'm basically the only one here who doesn't think Family Guy sucks?
Just about, yeah.
Let's wait and see what the rest of the season has in store.
btw- I thought the premiere was alright, It was an unusual departure from what we were used to from FG, at least nobody ate poop from a diaper!

Same here. I also kept gawking at those long ass 3D sequences. :D
MacFarlane, in desperation that a decade of doing the same thing over and over might start to get old, decides to dip his toes in the pool of 'Narrative' spurred onward by concentrated shots of crystal ego.
