Of course though, there is a debate on whether Moria died or not. I do believe Moria died because of my main reason. That being that Moria's death actually helps the people of the One Piece world since no one else will have to live shadowless lives. After Luffy defeated Moria and he released all his shadows, he went right back to rebuilding his zombie army (which was purified by Jinbei). In other words, Luffy didn't crush Moria's dream (Oda's preferred method), just gave him a setback. Since there was no dream destruction, he can be slated for death.
Hmmm, not sure about that but killing Moria provides us with:
1. Yet ANOTHER Shichibukai slot.
2. Shows us DQ might take orders directly from the 5 Revered Stars which might make for some interesting games of trust down the line.
I'd like to count Moria as dead. He's probably the same grey area as Bellamy. That is to say, there will probably be no evidence to the contrary. BUT, Oda could reasonably explain their reappearance any time he damn well pleased.
So much good about this chapter but the highlight, for me, was explaining that Luffy will be kept on Amazon Lilly.
That put to rest something I've been goddamn agonizing over for at least a year and a half now and what I considered the biggest mystery of how Oda would handle the wrap-up and there it is.
'Marguerite For Nakama' fan-people, start arming yourselves now.
Will OP get its own 'Elven-like' character via an Amazon? Well we're heading back there and I NEVER thought that would happen, and I considered anything short of going back to the island improbable for such a decision to be made. I dunno, things might start looking grim for assholes like me that despise the name 'Marguerite'.
