Why is she still good? All she was able to do is notch an arrow, just like every other girl beside her. She hasn't stood out from any of them ability wise, and she was being commanded by a girl that wasn't a pirate either.
Because the Kuja are a race of people who are already good fighters. Marguerite herself is already above them in that she is one of the warriors.
