Also went to Ikea today to stalk out those display cabinets …. =/ If I go sometime before Smoker/Tashigi/Croc come in, I will take Lucci with me to see if it will even fit in that cabinet. I have a feeling it will, but since Croc is a little taller its like =/ Also I think Croc would take up his own shelf, no other POPs would fit with him.. which then I could fill the rest of the space with all my other Croc collection stuff, but still, if the shelves will only house 1-2 POPs at a time, it's not great for a huge collection of POPs. Before I buy the cabinet I will actually take all of my POPs (I'm going to look SO SPECIAL XD) and put them in the cabinet and see if they fit. Also Kuma would totally not fit in here, don't even try XD I think you could fit like 2-3 average sized human POPs in there, but the ones with big things like Croc and Franky, they would need their own shelve.

With that last one being the one I want to get.

These were the cheapest ones. There were a variety of other cabinets that would be big enough to house your large POP collections but they are $$$, there is a $150 cabinet that's a bit wider that would work for storing a lot of POPs in, and there was a shorter cabinet that was longer that would look great for big collections, but I think it was closer to $300. I wish I had taken a picture of the entire row instead of just the one I was looking at XDD

That was just FYI, though a lot of people who had interest in these cabinets don't have an Ikea near them anyway, someone might have plotted a special trip >_> I would bring your biggest figures and test them out first before buying and all the pain of putting this shit together XD I will do this when I get those other figures in and save people the trouble of humilation XDD

A little hard to see, but the bottom left hand corner of the box reads 一番くじ。 I'm not sure what the story is either, but maybe kuji prizes back then were smaller? Maybe the main prize was some other series, and these were just little prizes. I don't have the picture of the back of the box that was on YJ, but I know for certain it read "ichiban kuji" and that it was either from 2002 or 2003. I'm pretty sure it was 2003.

You wouldn't believe how much I spent on my Flex Ace out of ignorance. xD And the hourglass really is worth it, believe me. I rarely ever see them pop up in my searches. If it's your favorite character, it's all good. And I'm sure that it'll only become more valuable in the future, eventually.

Just got payment notice for Super Effects Ace, too. @_@ Not too expensive at all. But I agree, it's not the best sculpt it could be. Ace's right thigh really does look skinny, especially since his head is so big for his body. I hope that's just a camera angle effect, LOL.
Argh, wish they would just hold the super effect for me till Panson Ace is out. Is it possible for me to mail them to ask them to do that, since they already took payment from me? xP

Layton stayed in ISC NY 5-7 days, probably around 4-5 days unless they epic fast shipped it here in one day XD It left Japan on the 19th f March and got here April 1st (though since I was away I just got it yesterday D: ) So including weekends that was 13 days total… So it actually got here in normal time and I was probably just a bit impatient XD It usually takes a few more days to get stuff from Japan >> Except what crease sent me, that took like 8 days ** They knew they better not deny me my Croc ~<3

Though still, the normal custom time the places it usually goes is 1-2 days, not nearing a week, but since it got here within 2 weeks meh >_> Can't gripe that much about it...

Yeah, ISC NY held my stuff really stupidly. I paid EMS for the second package and it literally got here in only two days. I don't know what they were thinking, but they must have been feeling cheap about sending a truck to my post office until they found out I paid EMS for the second one and thought "oh, now we've been paid more, so it's more worth it". The difference between treatment of SAL and treatment of EMS right there, I guess. If I hadn't had my second one sent with EMS, I'm sure I'd still be waiting.

Actually, when making the wikia page, I didn't find anything hinting at older sets at all. And Banpresto has a bad habit not to make a listing of everything it's produced…

Edit: Japanese wikipedia confirms that IK runs since 2003. And I know that at a time IK lots weren't exclusive productions but shared the same stuff ppl could find in UFO catchers.

Yeah, it's undocumented, and I'm guessing it's relatively rare since I've only ever seen two - the brand new one crease found, and the used one I got. I shouldn't be looking through YJ any more for the sake of my sanity, but one of these days I'm sure I'll find more random IK things lying around, too. I'm not sure where the Alabasta Luffy next to my Ace came from either, though it looks to be a different brand since the keyholders and size scales are different. But they're really well detailed for such soft, lightweight figures.

@maggie: I'm restricting myself with fig articles. There're too many merchandising things to handle them all. But I know for sure that the wikia is missing a lot of plushes, card sets and a lot of other random stuff.

But you can maybe u/l your pic on the wikia, even if you don't put any text.

I've recently put a listing on CD audios on the merch page but I simply got the listing from 2 sites and merged them…it was quick and easy ;)

So much hate for Super Effect Ace. LOL ;3; I almost feel like I'm wasting my money now since everyone else seems to think it isn't worthy. But my hoarding behavior prevails.

LOL that's ok Rona. I actually am really looking forward to him despite the fact that I think his leg is odd. It's refreshing to have him in a different pose FINALLY. NOT touching his hat, NOT touching his belt, NOT one hand completely flame the other one either resting or in a fist. We ace fans perpetually get the same shit over and over in the poses department, and this is a more than welcome change for me.
Right now the ace figures that really have me happy are the ones in new poses or really well sculpted. Thus me looking forward to the WCF ace (which looks awesome from the pictures!) and the ichiban kuji. The warlords FC ace is on its way to me and I have Panson and High Spec ace on preorder but I'm really not excited about them.

And I'm almost tempted to offer to take that special effect luffy off someone's hands if they don't want it, but I am being true to my spending ban. Only ace stuffs ^.^

I think that Aokiji, Eneru, and Croc look a BAJILION times better than the cross-eyed Smoker, the Ace, the Luffy, and the other one who..escapes me.. god damn it.. xD

It might be because I don't really care about any of the V2 characters, but they don't look THAT bad to me. Not much worse than Luffy or Ace, at least. shrugs
Nothing great, wouldn't buy them, but not that horrible either.

I don't really care for the Super Effect Crocodile's face, but I think everything else about his figure looks really nice. Can't wait till he's released. And Enel looks fabulous, I'm really having second thoughts about not ordering him, ugh. I've been trying to limit my collection to only Croc and Doflamingo, but I'm such an Enel fangirl….sigh

Loll yeah. I'm normally pretty anal about good sculpts, but the gene for said compulsion seems to have turned off when it comes to Ace and Lucci. Am I evolving? Or devolving? 8| One Piece is going to make me go extinct.

I want the Super Effect Enel, too. I look like a psycho for Ace and Lucci but the truth is, I'm a pretty big fan of Enel and Croc as well. ;-; Not rich enough at all. I don't like Croc's face, either, it's kinda similar to my distaste for Smoker's face.

I think Croc and Aokiji's look the best, at least, from those pics that's what I think. I looked at the Smoker one and just.. CRINGED… it was THAT bad.. My sis is still getting him though XDD Oh..and I just remembered..the other one is Black Beard xD I thought he looked fairly decent, but then again, when I think of how AMAZING those other Shichibukai DX figures are gonna be, it's hard not to compare them to those, which of coarse if you do then these much smaller ones suck EVEN MORE O_O

Rona, i wonder if we're a strange breed of person. Ace and Lucci were/are my fav guys to drool over in OP (I'm pretty quiet about my lucci love though, as ace is my absolute favorite. Plus I just don't have the energy to go after collecting all the stuff for TWO characters). I just think it's funny you're the same. XD I keep secretly hoping Lucci will reappear. _

I totally agree about the smoker one. Yikes! I was really looking forward to it, too! Whoever did those faces really needs to work on something. A lot is in the face for me for figures. That's why I love GLM luffy so much. Spot-on.

Too bad you don't live in CA, there are Daisos here (basically the same 100 yen shops in Japan but smaller/cost more because of moving the merchandise to US). They sell a variety of collector cases….although I haven't seen any with steps inside. For example I use these for my secrets:

The special effect figures are not that bad, you can't expect POP quality for a low price like that, imo you get what you pay for.
