If they're at both at full strength, then that's a different story all together. but you can't bring in a what if scenario here when you're asking why akainu doesn't dare to attack shanks now. bottom line is, regardless of who'd win if they're both at full strength, right now only shanks is at full strength, so akainu had to yield to shank's strength. you can do all the hypothetical scenarios in the world, but the context in which they are in is what matters right now. right now shanks is possibly the strongest pirate in the world, and has no visable signs of injuries. in contrast, akainu may be the strongest marine, but he got owned, and he should spend time recovering than fighting a healthy man.

firstly, akainu wasn't attacking with his ability when wb quake fisted him. secondly, there's a difference between h-haki and regular haki. regular haki blocks attacks, but as for h-haki, we don't know what it really does. in any case, wb never showed any sign of using h-haki throughout the war, since when any one uses h-haki, fodder start passing out, and that blast of energy thing is shown. nothing like that ever happened with wb, probably because he's old and dying, and had no will to go on. he had already accepted his death.

Well then we dont disagree on anything. Because all i've been arguing is that there is no scenario on earth where a fully rested Akainu would be quivering in his little redboots about Shanks power.

true, we don't disagree. then again, there's a lot of variables we don't know that could actually make akainu shake in his boots out of fear of shanks;
- we don't know how strong shanks is
- we don't know all of his abilities
- we don't know what haoshoku haki is actually capable of doing
idrc though. frankly, im more concerned about akainu being scared of looking at garp right now. something tells me garp might snap and beast akainu for killing ace. cuz after garp told sengoku to hold him down, you know somethings gonna happen.
