The World Ends With You wouldn't have worked on one screen.
Okay. You've named one game I haven't played. I'll take your word for it.
What about the other 200 or so games for the system?
I know its ridiculously distracting for the Sonic games.
Oh and its backwards compatible with the DS/DSi

tbh TWEWY showed me that human eyes are not capable of following the action on two screens.

You also haven't played Hotel Dusk.
Ergo, ur already a mr gay.

Thats what the "light puck" was for, all you have to do is start a combo on one screen then alternate between attacks.
I think the only thing that really pissed me off about that game was that you REALLY had to keep track of the pins you were wearing, otherwise you'll forget how exactly to slash or strike. And theres one fight where you get assigned some random pin without a clue as to how to activate it (turns out I had to blow into the mic).
Other than that, I didn't really have any other issues.

Mario & Luigi : Bowser Inside Story
Hotel Dusk Room
Oh yeah, I'm gonna be the only one to say this, but the Brain Age games are actually really enjoyable.
That math trainer game that came free with my DS kept me entertained for days until I got Pokemon and completely forgot about it.

I agree, except when my fam thought I'd gone psycho in my room saying "Red, Blue, Yello- fuck, Black!"

The Sonic games were made by the talentless hacks at dimps, why were you expecting them to be good.
As Tonfa said, there's the excellent Hotel Dusk. Advance Wars: Dual Strike had it's dual front missions, Henry Hatsworth had you going back and forth from screen to screen, there's the great Mario & Luigi 3, obviously warioware gets a lot of use out of it…
Yes, a lot of the time it generally just gets used to make things less cluttered, though without it I'm not sure I would have had the joy of seeing what Mackenzie was thinking in the Touch Detective games, which was hilarious, so there's even bonuses there.
I'm still surprised that dimps "got" street fighter, but totally misunderstood how a sonic game works.
I'm willing to bet Capcom was holding guns to their collective asses to make sure they got a product worthy of franchise revival. Besides they seem to be more "in tune" with fighting games. (Budokai series, Yu Yu Hakusho Forever, etc.)
I would love to see a Zelda game in 3D. Especially with the Wind Waker style that the DS installments have kept.
Though one of the reasons I love nontendo so much is that they don't obsess over graphics like Microsoft and Nintendo do. Instead they focus on innpvation. I still remember the first time I played the Wii, I was playing Twilight Princess, and I was awed, nothing else video game related has ever made me feel like that, it was awesome.
I think that's how this is going to end up being for me.
Nintendo is going to be the leader in innovation for video games again for the main reason of no glasses. I don't want to have to wear glasses to play a video game anymore than I want to when I watch a movie.
The only thing Nintendo lacks are a multitude of Awesome games.
They have Zelda, Mario, Smash Bros, and Pokemon. That's it. Good games that don't fall under those categories are few and far between.
So yeah, that's my two cents.

Elite Beat Agents also made some pretty damn good use of the touch screen. That game was hella fun.

You're probably right. I can't see Sega doing the same thing, especially since their reboot, sonic '06 was inhouse. If they didn't care enough to sort that out, I can't imagine they'd care what dimps did to a portable spinoff.
Oh yeah, I'm gonna be the only one to say this, but the Brain Age games are actually really enjoyable.
no. i found it quite addicting. and i hate math
I just thought of something…
Ouendan 3D. Those buttons, sliders, and spinners in 3D? mind explode
Where is that Gameboy successor they promised?
It was heavily suspected that it was only ever to exist if the PSP was a roaring success. It wasn't so it didn't.

Anyway, more info:
- Two screens, with virtually no seam between them when open
- Screens are higher resolution, but exact resolution is unknown
- Powered by nVidia Tegra (nice)
- Roughly as powerful as a Gamecube, and apparently similar to program for
- Uses carts - believed to be same size as DS/DSi carts, only with different guts
- Due out in 2010 in at least one territory

okay, now it has my full attention!
Screw the newer games i want to see this thing hacked with an N64 emulator on it. For even more awesome get a driver written that can put out two offset views from the N64 emu and now we have portable 3D N64 Emulation…

Woah… Okay, I won't be buying a DS after all. I bet this 3DS is going to be expensive as hell, tho.

I'm betting they'll have a Virtual Console like system on the new handheld.
Hopefully it'll offer the Gameboy/other portable system games + the VC library. Even better if you could transfer purchased VC games from the Wii to the DS, like what Sony has done.
But… Nintendo will probably just make us pay for them all over again. I suppose that's what emulators are for

I can't see it being more than $200. Nintendo has had plenty of success with their somewhat cheap handhelds.
This may be a little off topic but if anyone is interested I managed to get a few Gamecube and Wii games running in 3D using an emulator. I was able to run One Piece Grand Battle in 3D and I actually did find the experience pretty enjoyable. Now I am really looking forward to the 3DS actually.

What?! Where you find a good GC emulator at?
Try the Dolphin Emulator. It does both Wii and Gamecube games and actually works really well on many games. I have a Wii so I just use it to rip my games over our home network and and play them on my computer. It's probably the closest thing to an HD Wii at the moment.

Damn, cause I just want Grand Adventure again.
No matter what.
Yeah I beat Grand Adventure on my laptop.
Just be careful if you torrent the game off the internet cause i tried downloading a Wii game once and Nintendo was not to happy about that. >.> Funny thing was I actually owned the game I just didnt know how to rip it to my computer at that point.
After that incident I learned fast.
First game announced.
I wonder how it'll play.
I would definitely play that game. Maybe from an Indie Developer?
It's a brilliant concept. Racing down a suburb block trying to catch the baby you're sitting which you foolishly let go of. It really hits home. I'd never personally hire a crocodile to babysit, but I'll play the game and love it.
cool games this week
im a fan of Ogre battle 64 :D

DEAR GOD. I do hope Ogre Battle 64 is coming out in the UK too. I ALWAYS wanted it so much.
Anyone else hate that we're still refering FFIV as FFII and FFVI as FFIII in NA?
I'm not a Japan freak or anything, but FF1-10 have been released now. Shouldn't we call them by their real names now? It's so much less confusing.
I don't like saying "FFIII is boring" like I always do, and people turning towards me and saying "Kefka/Terra/Locke/FF6 related thing is awesome, fuck you!".
Which FF6 is amazing, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Well, as someone who jumped on the FF bandwagon pretty late in the game (no pun intended, and Dawn of Souls was the first game I played), I'm pretty much inclined to call them by their original Japanese numbers. I understand other peoples' positions, seeing as how they grew up with it, but the only thing I don't like about it is that it can sometimes be confusing. Like when someone says Final Fantasy III, I think they may be referring to the "real FFIII" but they may actually be talking about FFVI.
Unfortuantely, I don't really think there's any way to fix this since you can't force people call something by a certain name. I guess it's one of those things we'll just have to live with. Oh, and also I think official sources should refer to FFIV and VI as that and not II or III, or if they do they should at least acknowledge that they were originally IV and VI.

I know, but I always think back to Blister, a show on G4. They were previewing Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls, a game which included Final Fantasy I and Final Fantasy II. I have this game infact.
They show Final Fantasy I and explain how the game works, but then they show Final Fantasy II. They show the game footage of Final Fantasy II…BUT..
"You can also play Final Fantasy II, where you lead the Dark Knight, Cecil, along with his beloved Rosa and Black Mage, Rydia, into a...blah blah blah."
This is all being said, while FFII stars Firion, Maria, and Guy are in the midst of a battle with their names being displayed CLEARLY.
When even the media gets this mixed up, that's pretty bad.

Pain in the ass is what it is… I understand why they did it before, but are they intentionally trying to confuse people now?

Seriously… would it kill them to just name them as what they really are so the numerical values don't seem so loopy to outsiders?
I call bullshit.
Those pics…
humina humina humina
It looks kinda cool.
But the positions of the buttons would probably make it pretty unwieldly to play.
if it's real, it could improve raw and spoiler quality, although I don't if raw and spoiler providers will us it.
EDIT: NVM, they don't use tankobon they use the magazine. Sorry, retarded idea.
As awesome as that is, I doubt it to be true. It hardly is even portable, who would carry that around??
Man! I got the very first Nintendo DS.
Nintendo DS FatI'm perfectly fine.
Mine is hanging off a hinge.
Seeing as the current DS hasn't got me to buy anything but after Rondo of Swords, I'm not up for another Nintendo shovelware console.
First time for everything.
Why does everyone complain about shovelware like its the worst thing to happen to consoles?
The DS has a lot of good games, shovelware doesn't prevent you from enjoying them.
It is a fake, if anyone was harbouring doubts to the contrary.
I'm more amazed there's people who actually believed it.
Copypasta:
I think those were confirmed to be fake prototypes or something like that.
Plus, no L or R buttons? fail
