They are all my favourite, but if i can only choose one, i can say it will be CP9 Saga but not including Davy Back Fight..
Anyway you should seperate them into different arc=x
Favorite Arc/Saga

but I like them all D:!
I'm liking the current saga a lot, though. -

I'm liking the current saga a lot, though.I think everyone likes them all, it's just which one is your favorite :)
I actually genuinely want to know which saga people like the most for a small One Piece project I have in mind. -
They're all great, but I like Skypiea best. I like the setting in the sky and the unique scenery there, as well as the storyline at that point with Norland the Liar, ect. (I also like that Conis plays the harp… I am musically biased :)
-
Why is Thriller Bark combined with the current arc? (Before the SHs' separation= my favorite: After= least favorite)
-
My favourite has been CP 9 so far. Usually these longer arcs have some lamer parts but I loved the entire arc from arriving to Water 7 until their escape from Garp. There was lots of cool people (Jyabura <3, Kaku <3, Lucci, Iceburg etc. ), Sea train was awesome, Kaku vs. Zoro - Still one of my favourite battles, Chopper testing what different drinks do to Franky - one of the funniest moments ever! Franky joining Straw hats, Usopp vs. Luffy, Kokoro the mermaid (and Sanji's reaction :-D) Merry's funera, buster call and so on.
Another arc that is very close is current war arc. Only reason, actually, why I like it less than Water 7 is because there is no Strawhats and a certain thing that happened in the latest chapter :'( Otherways, I like the idea about new era and Luffy's and Ace's reunion, even it was a sad and short, was something that made me happy. Also, seeing WB and his crew in action has been epic (mostly because of WB - others have been pretty useless.), also Luffy running to his old friends (Bon-chan) and enemies (Croc, Buggy, MR 3…).
-
My favorite arc so far is definitely Skypiea. I don't know why, exactly. I just really liked it. Maybe because they accomplished something that was thought impossible (going to the sky), and probably because of the scenery and God storyline. I'm surprised that the current saga is one of the most popular. It's honestly my least favorite arc so far.
-
I liked Sypiea a lot. I made a strong bond with it 'cause I started reading OP from number 28 :'D Warangels and a kami? Me likes. It was very touching too.
-
does someone kno what episodes were the thrillerbark arc? i wanna re watch em
-
CP9 arc was my personal favorite, mostly because of Robin's emotional conflicts. And cause the villains were awesome. Spandam's a jerk, though.
-
My favorite arc is definitely Thriller Bark. I really enjoyed reading it. It was like the first arc I read through in the manga and kept me interested in reading every week. Plus it introduced Brook, my favorite character. The current arc is amazing but TB will always be my favorite.
-
I really liked the Shabondy arc, but I also liked the Arabasta one. I'd probably have liked other arcs in between if I'd watched them (took a few years hiatus from OP starting near the end of Arabasta and only came in to watch recent stuff. For the rest, spoilers).
-
I think CP9 had the best fights, hands down. That makes it my favorite. After that comes probably Skypiea.
Baroque Works would be up there, if I hadn't re-seen it over 9000 times in manga, anime, viz manga, funi anime, movie 8, etc.
-
When I first read Skypiea I was annoyed at seeing the nameless Shandians face the nameless Enforcers. After rereading it recently, I'm fairly certain that aside from the 20 that Eneru took out, every contestant in that War Game had a panel. Oda showed the confrontations of those nameless characters to show all the conflicts that went down in Skypiea. That was pretty cool.
-
Well in the manga the Impel Down/Marineford arc.
But since i'm not that far yet in the anime, I'm at Thriller Bark and so far I like it because of its setting and new characters.
Like someone said on the first page, Oda seems to be getting better and better at arcs.
-
Well i love Skypeia, BW and EL i think i like EL more but i did it randomly and choose BW
-
w00t! Just pushed cp9 in front by a vote!
This series has so many great villians, but Spandam is as evil as they come, and Lucci was just plain ruthless. The crew was pushed to some crazy extremes.
Plus, the whole "I WADDA LIVE" moment amazing and heart wrenching everytime I read it. Just all around fantastic writing from (G)Oda -
@robbybedfart:
Does Drum count as an East Blue story or as a Baroque Works? Yeah, it took place in the middle of the crocadile story, but aside from the presence of Vivi, was pretty much stand alone and had more in common in terms of tone and feel with the East Blue stuff, and given that movie 9 tossed it around and pretended it took place after Robin and Franky joined, it just further proves that story, which is one of OP's best, isn't tied to the Barouque saga at all.
That said… East Blue. Character origins and touching flashbacks through and through. All the other arcs have had some good fights and villains and etc. but East Blue is the only one to have the flashback/histories of the first five (six counting Chopper?) crew members. Shanks inspiring Luffy and instilling the values of a pirate? Zoro's childhood friend? Usopp's... well... Usopp-ness. Gaimon's island? Sanji starving for a month?
Also... the Arlong arc and all that goes with it.
The sheer number of places visited, villains beaten, characters introduced... The first memories of the sries and nostalgia that goes with it... Yeah, East Blue for me. (Only 5 votes before now? Cripes. Krieg wasn't THAT awful, was he?)
I don't think Drum is counted as one of the East Blue arcs given its location, though I also wouldn't count it as a Baroque Works arc since it's pretty much a standalone by itself. Yeah, East Blue was pretty awesome. I loved Kuro and Arlong as villains (most especially Kuro, the guy's oozing with badassery); Krieg, hmm, not so much. Gin was a definite badass, though.
The current war saga is really shaping up to be the most epic saga ever. Shabondy and Impel Down was made of so much win.
-
I have to say the CP9 Arc and Amazon Lily Arc is second.
-
After Ace death scene… I say this arc... before that it was EL
-
I was hesitating between CP9 and the war, but after those scenes with WB, Garp, Akainu, and Ace's death…
This arc is the best one. -
Baruoque Works
I really doubt Oda will ever top it.
-
Skypiea was amazing for me, I am hoping Fishman island would be just as good since Oda has made us wait for so long.
-
@devil:

Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure Fishman Island is going to be amazing once we get to it, I mean Oda's been hyping it since the end of Water 7, and that was like 3 years ago. It's most likely gonna be huge.
-
who know I want to see the mermaid princess
-
I say the newest part been extremely good.
About Mermaid Princess, she is in face male okama!
-
the current arc probably my favs but CP9 was cool too
-
Despite of latest shocking moment, Cp9 is still the best for me.
-
sure it's skypea, i love this arc
-
Come on War ! beat the crap outta CP9…
-
All the arcs are amazing in my opinion, after all it is one-piece. But I just couldn't vote for the current arc because it's not done. Plus I still have yet to see a more powerful moment than "I WADDA LIVE!"
Sure Ace dying is sad, and it brought tears to my eyes, but Robin breaking down like that made me do the same. MOst powerful moment in any series I believe.
I will always remember the moment I first read that scene. Perhaps one day Oda will best it…who knows... -
the title of this thread makes no sense, first of all favorite is spelled wrong and most favorite doesn't make sense
but definitely cp9 best fighting, story and some great characters introduced
and people really like skypeia a lot of my friends quit reading it because of that

Favorite is spelled correctly. The "u" is used in european countries a lot, primarily Britain. Favourite, humour, colour, are all examples of the "ou" Americans just dropped the "u."
And what would us say instead of most favorite? It's just the opposite of least favorite. If one works, both work.
As for Skypeia, I enjoyed it the first time through, but I wouldn't reread it as a stand-alone. It have to be in a series run-through. Definately my least favorite arc write there.
I regularly re-read the east blue arc (in particular, the Arlong part, still one of my favorite battle) and the cp9 one. -
Baroque Works.
Croc was such a cool badass back then. He "killed" Luffy twice! And it went through several islands.
SA-arc also was awesome. We saw other pirates who took the other magnetic-currents with some weird abilities.
W7/EL also was cool, but the special agents of BW still show in this arc of which wood they're made of. -
I am digging this up again. I think that after the 2 latest chapters, the War Saga is superior to CP9 in every aspect.
-
2 votes more…come on AP !
-

You know you might be right. (g)Oda handled Ace's death beautifully. That chapter actually brought tears to my eyes, and if we include what happened on SA in this arc, then the "Tenryuubito Affair" chap, and "I couldn't even" (the last chapter to actually make me cry) and now with BB arriving. Definately the best arc except for the lack of the other SHs.
The writing has been better than anything Oda has done before IMO, which means it went from Amazing to Phenomenal. And things aren't even done yet!
-
The war for proving to us why Whitebeard and Sengoku are held in high regard among badasses and cool old people.
Sabaody (Or would that be a transition?) is tied with Thriller Bark for close second.
-

I'm counting Sabaody as part if this current arc since it's what set Luffy in motion (Sent flying to AL then to ID and finally to MHQ), and it's also were we first heard of the war, so I think we count it here.

Well I'm counting east blue as part of this arc cause thats when he got his crew which set the voyage in motion which set this event in motion which is all connected in a linear RPG format. :o

Wow…really now. What happened in the East Blue has no real relevancy to this arc. He asked a serious question, so I gave a serious answer. The events on SA were the prologue to this arc. Just like Jaya was to Skypeia.
Don't be a smart-ass. -
Man, this arc just has everything coming together. The shabondy arc and tenryuubito affair, the moment Luffy actually gets a love interest (outside Alvida….) and then there was the Impel down portion that brought back the Buggy supporters and even Mr. 3 became slightly cool ("If I told you that I am doing this for the sake of a fallen friend, would you laugh at me?").
If that is not enough, Iva-san coming in as a slight Tribute to both Detroit Metal City and Tim Curry (Rocky Horror Picture show), just keep in mind that the anime variant ruined it...
Then of course Mr. 2's last stand, it practically just brought a moment almost equivalent to the Arlong park arc AND Cp9 moments of sadness... then finally the last 2 chapters...
I can't call anything a favorite as One Piece can not be categorized so simply, but with each passing arc, as Oda grows the story, it grows on us even more as everything tops the precedent.
-
Water 7/EL arc/saga just cuz of the twist, Luffy's gears, hooded Sakazuki, Saul, more info on what Robin dream became, buster call, SHs gettin pwned by CP9 at first, lil info on DFs, etc.
The sagas with my 2 fav villains(BW & Skypeia) will be tied for # 2.
You guys saying the war are just caught up in the hype and the fact that it's right now. Overall it's been pretty underwhelming but it passes for okay.
-
Water 7 was nice in some ways, like gears 2 and 3. Really done well. However the entire fight procedure was for me shity.
1 vs 1 like there is no tomorow
So I pick this last arc who I really really enjoyed the most
-
The 1 on 1 CP9 fights were tiring….
-
Enies Lobby. I didnt start watching till after tha tthough so I was just able to skip through the useless garbage. It made the arc a lot more enjoyable.
-
The current War & Resuce arc is by far my favorite.
Talk about Pirate Summit -

Wow… some people seems forgetting Arc Drum with Chopper FB, Skypia and the best FB ever ect.. This war is good, but in term of writing, these two are IMO a lot better.
Sadly, too many people seems sumarize One Piece to either CP9 saga or this one. -

But the "fights" in the war were terrible imo. A bunch of fake one on ones and fodder getting pwned.

Baroque Works because it is what got me interested in One piece.
