LOL @ Yonkou#3's new avy.
Yeah the decision really doesn't make any sense. Why destroy the key when you can kill the person about to use it?
It basically makes the whole Hancock slipping Luffy the key useless but then again maybe Oda didn't want us thinking was stupid enough to get to Ace with no plan or anyway of getting him free:ninja:
the key was just Oda use misdirection. he wanted us to think that the only way of saving ace was with that key. thus we were distracted and didn't think about mr. 3 making a key, so then he can have mr. 3 pop up and surprise us.
thats how stories go, they like to surprise us. how many times do you see people get together to explain the strategy, but we don't get to hear it. we hear it at the end when their plan worked and they explain their genius. well this was same thing, Oda gave us this "key" so that we would not think of using mr. 3, and also maybe not think of possibility of someone being able to cut karoseki. i wonder if its possible to cut it, or if someone can.
be funny if in future arcs zoro is able to, and they put cuffs on like luffy they destroy like the only key or something. then zoro is like whatever and just cuts them.
also the misdirection was used the whole way from when they escaped impel down mr. 3 was seen hanging around and basically buddy buddy with buggy. thus we assumed he was with buggy in all the scenes we saw buggy, even potentially being frozen. so he was free to not show mr 3 in any panals and we wouldn't be wondering where he was all the time. I mean i remember people asking every week where some guy is, how did their fight go, even some like mr. 1. Hell i never even thought of mr. 3, only person really was wondering where he was, was inazumi, and that was only for sole reason he was suposed to be laying in bed andthat shit had sunk. so was just curious, not in the curious of what is he going to do to save the day curious though. just curious in did oda forget about him and a plot hole.
