Good, but doesn't deserve its own thread.
Who am I?
Yesterday was pretty much a re-enactment of that link.
Who am I?
I think it's kinda obvious, although your reasons are (probably) nothing like the reasons stated in the article.
I read about the first one and it had Airflow written all over it.
As opposed to you who just loses by losing.
I'd like to hope he meant "Be your own wingman" when talking about me.
Wait….do you still think I was serious about that "serious problem" thread? Really??
Another good article from Cracked though if you think about it and be atleast bit honest then every poster might been falling to use partially atleast one of those…techiniques.
Well to be perfect poster you would never have to get in 'debates' but just post your opinon and leave. But that would take large amount of purpose out of forums.
The perfect poster is a lie.
And yes airflow i ment the be your own wingman when i mentioned you.

If you post a really bad opinion, you will hardly be considered to be a good poster?
Wow, that list was… Suprisingly accurate...!
Ugh, #2, #3, #4, and #7 hit me like a freight train…!!
Makes me glad that I don't really get into forum arguments.
Credentials are essential for getting people to trust you when you make an argument that might seem counter-intuitive. Science isn't a hive mind homogeny, there are many different views, the key is some views take time to be accepted and others just have more evidence.
Often abused though (by me).
Mmmm I've found people who apply to all the items on that list throughout my long interwebs career
Plus some who aren't even LISTED they're so bad
Funny stuff, lol !

Ha, no. To be the perfect poster (in my mind) you must be able to take the other person's opinion into consideration as well, instead of simply disregarding everything used as an argumentation of disagreement. You must always accept that your opinion can easily be rejected, as well as to know that some people will hate you for what you say, but you really shouldn't care if you know what you're fighting for is right.
But that is destined to give you the name of a "bad poster" in many people's eyes. It's like that with everything in life. Imagine talking about religion and you say "oh yeah well i think that christianity is pretty cool, those atheist idiots are too stupid to have faith in anything, why won't they believe in god" and some guy comes over and says "what the fuck are you talking about, people have a right of choice, stop talking bullshit". You see how a useless debate is formed for a simple expressing of a "personal opinion". It's very like people will get offended, they will start arguing with you until someone pulls you two apart and in the end, nothing positive comes out. Only hatred is released and you are hated by this person, he will never respect your ways of thinking. But I'm sorry to say that from what I can see, it's actually a pretty rare occasion to see someone actually "disagree" with you on an anime forum. I often see opinions based on the fact "oh this guy seems like an idiot judging from what people say about him, i think i'll just bash him now and hope that people will support my decision of doing so" and that's incredibly sad, really. You can usually find those people by seeing if they have proper (if any) argumentation or if they simply posted "wow that's a really bad post, you suck for even thinking that man". Of course that's not how all people react, but I guess some of them can't afford to have an opinion of their own.
In fact, if you want to be recognized as "cool", "authentic", "original", you must not only express an opinion that the majority of this forum has, but also stay out of serious debates such as politics, religion on which it is very likely that people have different viewpoints. You should know when it's better to keep quiet and move on with it. It saves you a lot of energy.
I think what everyone is talking about has to do with rhetoric. There's a good book about arguing and being persuasive by Jay Heinrichs called Thank You For Arguing.

A funny thing is a famous sophist said something along the lines that you don't need to know anything about what you're talking about to give a proper response. That's why they were not held in high esteem, well, some of them, they didn't teach only rhetoric, some of them taught mathematics and other subjects.
I go on forums to talk to people, to see what they have to say. I suppose much like a real forum in real life. Where people gather and talk about a specific subject or whatever is on their mind at the time.

Thank you for your horrible opinion, how bout you go back to posting bland shit that adds nothing and "edgy" one liners so that you don't conform to the herd. Cause that's how it's done, rite?
Free Eric. .

and this is why since the election thread. I have stayed away from politics and religion debates.
a few of those listed in the article are good comparison's to me.

I understand not going into those discussions in Arlong Park, but I hope you engage in it somewhere else. I say this because Politics and religion are crucial aspects of society. To simply say: I want to stay away from them, is to say: "I don't want to know what I should have preferences for." and "I don't want to know what I should believe."
Everything we do and can do is guided by discussions like these. I understand the ramifications of getting into those kind of discussions, and why someone would not want to be part of that. A certain economist addresses the issue well when he said, "Practical men, who believe themselves to be quite exempt from any intellectual influence, are usually the slaves of some defunct economist.". That's why it's best to talk about these issues, so that one doesn't spend their life never knowing.
But I also understand this is AP, and we're here because of OP. So I apologize if I sounded really stiff.

What I'm concerned about more is how some people never tend to get anything out of clear seriousness and instead just pretend it never happened by posting dramatic idiocy to hide their own insecurities.
Oh, it's just one of these threads again. I was expecting to see a Juju or Airflow post as an example under one of the categories.
What I'm concerned about more is how some people never tend to get anything out of clear seriousness
You were serious?
You expect people to not discuss other opinions and show weak points expecting the one who posted his opinon to learn from the debate? You didn't get it… At all!
I mean look at this:
"oh yeah well i think that christianity is pretty cool, those atheist idiots are too stupid to have faith in anything, why won't they believe in god"
A personal opinion with insults in it (towards other groups) and you would never comprehend that it was a bad one? Moreover you can't even see that such a discussion can lead to the one who made such a statement to learn to be more open for other beliefs and comprehend others.
and instead just pretend it never happened by posting dramatic idiocy to hide their own insecurities.
uh? Tell me more.
Miniluffy is too cool to respond to my post.

Maybe he thinks you're not worth responding to.
By the way, Airflow, why did you make a second account? Was it the "Be your own wingman" reason? You lose so much good memories when throwing out an account.

I hope so, it would prove my point.

Yeah…I made an account called Airflow to back up the arguments from my Airflow101 account and I didn't expect people to catch on.
I just liked this name better.
I hope so, it would prove my point.

I see. But you're not part of Omega Pirates anymore.
I left.
Oh, poo! Tired of the trials of the serious internet pirate crew life?
Your captain betrayed you for nf.
He's also got LuffyZoroSanji, or something like that

Sorry I'm not picking up what you're saying. I'm dumb.
Airflow's got a third alt.
And magneticmonkey's saying that Zkaiser's spending time on NarutoForums rather than here.

Oh ok I see. The lack of quoting confused me.
being a good poster just requires the moxy for it
it's an inherent trait that one is born with
But in all seriousness, it isn't about what you post about or how much you even post…. its about the way you post it
Everyone sign up for NF and bug the hell out of Zkaiser. Does he have a different name over there?
seriously? we need to get that clown back!

God yes. facepalm Too bad their posts are deleted from the topic, we could've sent enough samples to Cracked for a whole new list.
I mostly sat back and watched the show; you, robby and cosmic were doing just fine with the triple-team. :)
