@MarcelloF:
Hey I have a question: I saw people say that they changed Zoro's name on the bounty poster by those commercial break things. I'm not complaining, but I would like to know why? I mean I wouldn't have noticed it said Zolo, if I hadn't read it here. And isn't it more work to change it? oO
BTW, to call it "unedited",is kinda wrong isn't it? I mean they did change the OP logo in the songs and stuff. Its not bad, and I like how Funis OP logo looks and I'm not complaining, but it is edited.. xD
The "Zolo" edit is entirely unexplained but the most obvious explanation is one of these:
A: They received a lot of their materials from Toei, some of which was edited, and they accidentally used the edited version (This is partially confirmed in the DVD Menu stuff from the newest DVD)
B: They edited it themselves for when/if Zoro's Eyecatch appeared on TV, and accidentally threw the edited on on the First few DVDs.
C: They edited it to use on the DVDs before they got confirmation from Toei that they could change him back to Zoro just in case they were forced to keep it Zolo.
Regardless of which it is, it was a mistake, you have to look frame-by-frame to see it, and they fixed it after only a few DVDs.
And Yeah, FUNi did do the logo thing, but at least one Set with "We Are" includes the unedited Opening credit animation in the special features as the "Creditless Opening" and at least one set with "Believe" has the same thing, so as long as they do that I'm fine with it, and the "Unedited" version is indeed on there.
Although I don't know how they're gonna do it when they get to the later episodes with the MUCH more intricate animations, like Kokoro no Chizu's rope wrapping around the thing and the glowing, or Crazy Rainbow's split up letters.
Regardless, in the grand scheme of things, if this is the only real "Edit" we have to put up with, I welcome the situation. Because it could be much, MUCH Worse.
By the way, to reiterate in case anyone missed it, Season Two Fifth Voyage is shipping now.
