I guess I should have figured that Oda had something else planned for the son of Oars. Characters don't fall down in One Piece without getting up a few times after the fact.
I'm a little surprised that the other rookie pirate crews are still on the Shabondy Archipelago. I guess the Marines aren't there to bother them anymore, but it still seems strange to me.
Last, but not least, Luffy…...geez.......seeing him in front of the three Admirals is absolutely frightening. Forget Daredevil, Luffy is the (Rubber) Man Without Fear.

Luffy has balls of steel to be standing in front of the Admirals like that. His expression is one of pure determination. I love Garp's reaction to Luffy's landing in front of them. He knows Luffy's gonna get his shit pushed in if he doesn't think fast.

Damn, those Admirals are not amused one bit. I predict Luffy subconsciously lets some haki loose and actually lands a hit on one of them, Rayleigh style. That'll piss them off even more!

I just wanted to post the same thing. (but it is shards of ice, not wood anymore) Not that there should be any real doubt Akainu is a logia ofcourse, since the admirals have got this whole theme going.
And atleast Luffy isn't wasting time, he is going full frontal attack on the admirals - with no real effect that I can see ofcourse.Another cool shot, the shichibukai seem to have retreated back to the sides, interesting to see Hancock is still with them.

They are all shards from Luffy's stamp attack on the mast, we can only see them passing through Kizaru but the SFX are the same on all 3 admirals and they tank them without any effort.
WB's "trump card" is prolly going to interrupt the fight but maybe next chapter Luffy will curse about not being able to hit them.
(on another note, maybe this will unlock his haki some more and he can get a hit in on Kizaru.. not too likely but maybe, we already something haki-like vs mihawk)

I don't see a single panel in this chapter that proves that Akainu is a logia. I've started leaning more towards paramecia since last week's chapter, and this chapter hasn't shown me anything to start pushing me back towards logia.

I'm sorry but I still don't see anything passing through him. To me it clearly looks as if one piece passes him on his left, the other on his right side but nothing that goes right through his body. Furthermore that one piece on Akainu's left looks as if it's melting a bit which I interpret to be a result of being exposed to Akainu's ability. So yeah, I agree with Urouge that we've seen nothing in this chapter that proves that he is a Logia. I still believe that he is a Logia but there's no proof so far.

I understand your point but I still don't think that it doesn't mean he isn't a Paramecia for the simple fact we don't see his front. For all we know his front could be covered in Magma/Lava making the ice melt or his body temperature alone is so high that the ice melts before it touches him.

And Luffy was awesome. I wonder if his plan is to divert the attention of the 3 admirals to the icy pillar-remains, while he wants to rush to Ace. Since Luffy didn't said "I'm going to defeat you", so I think he has a plan like this. When he rode the wave… that was an awesome act too.
Too much epicness. Not that I'm complaining. ^^
