I'm not particularly crazy about either character but Ivankov just had... more... impact on the story or something. I can't even be bothered to think why I'm voting for someone for once. Initial reaction was Ivankov.

Really, theres lots and lots of other characters I'd vote for before Ivanakov, but Gedatsu, who I barely remember, is not one of them. Also. I'm voting against discrimination.

All of skypedia is a blur. I read it the once, in a couple big sittings, years ago when I was catching up on he series. I'm a bit fuzzy on the Davy Back fight and the first half of Water 7 as well.
Compared to everything up thru Alabasta which I've gonme through again via stateside release of the manga or anime, or everything post chapter 380 or so (which is when I caught up to the weekly releases) where I've been reading it on a weekly basis and stewing on spoilers, discussions, actual releases, and then watching the anime episodes a year later when they cover important scenes that I wanted to see in motion and sound.
So, there's about 100 chapters I'm a little weaker on character names and what happened than in the rest of the series. And that happens to be basically, all of skypedia. How it goes. I intend to reread it eventually, but right now I'm kinda holding out for viz to announce a sped up release schedule and hopefully enjoy it in actual book trades.

For the sake of defending people who may or may not be calling Ivankov gross for being a transvestite or whatever, I would like to point out that Bon Kurei has looked magnificent all throughout his existence. However, for the first 2-3 chapters of his existence, I thought Ivankov was friggin' ugly. Not "5 o'clock shadow on a woman" ugly, but "OMG IT'S BELLAMY'S DAD" ugly. Once I saw that he could enlarge his head to improve his Death Wink, I started to ignore the ugly. Then, when he turned into an attractive woman, I wished that she would just stay a she. Finally, seeing that he has indigo hair took the edge off. Now, I don't think he's so ugly, just comical. Perhaps other people felt the same way when they first saw him and somehow missed the color spread?

well that's just your opinion. I believe characters like Vivi and all the amazons on Amazon Lily should die but that's just my opinion xD I actually like Ohm… but yes Satori should die.... he was just too annoying...

It's not that I dislike Iva, it's just that, I dunno, after he gave his miracle speech he just turned lame for me. Even after transforming into a women and taking on Magellen. I just like Inazuma better I guess.
