All those not conidering this a April 1st joke;
Magazines always produce their issue for this day pre-April the first, that means monthly mags may have their stuff it in March instead of April.
The only way they could have pulled it off was to release it early, so it still counts. If not for the slip-ups, it would have been pulled off and not revealed until the real stuff came out (or final revealing tomorow). So yes, it still counts! ;-)

Ah. I misunderstood part of that. No. The point wasn't to make a joke. The point was to fool people. The better the product, the more people are fooled. If we did such a good job coming up with a good product, that turned out to be the same as the real thing, then a pat on the back to us.

If your intent was to fool and the product you used to fool the people in fact turned out to be true how could that suddenly be a pat on the back to you? The point of fooling ppl becomes overlooked since it is now fact.

I'm so glad that I was a doubter…No, its been revealed as a full out joke, with all the material made up. It has no bearing on the actual product, so its no longer a spoiler. There's no longer a need to wait, cause its a an "official joke" instead of still being in the "potentially true" category, which is what the previous deadline was intended for.
And since the admins were in on it. Its officially not a spoiler leak, but a joke or speculation. its fine.
Standard rules still apply for the ACTUAL spoilers, even if they DO include a female luffy.

Those who were fooled should have looked at the margins on the page… Come on... That may have been close to Oda's style, but Eggy slipped up with the margins thats not the layout of a typical OP page. Sorry, but after he BB +Ace thing I got used to anlysising layouts, I was tempted to point it out and spoil it really early on (like page 3 of this topic), but I kept silent because a number of pages later April 1st was pointed out and I kept quiet.
Plus it was making me laugh too hard (and still is).

Haha. No, that's not the same. We are talking about something that we attempt to predict on a weekly basis. We turned a prediction into a viable fake "spoiler". If it turns out we were right, then we were just thinking too much like Oda. After all, when AL and I were bouncing ideas off each other we outlined the entire chapter so everything fit together together and make sense. Anyway, the main goal was to have fun, and we did. So either way, we win.

VA Onigumo is an asshole who shots his own subordinates. He isn't even worth hard drawing/PS-work either.
The photograph technique and the surface of the paper also looks damn real.

On a side note about the excuse of you fool more ppl by doing it 2 days in advance. You probably could've fooled even more ppl if it was done say around 10pm est time(America) and then a few hours later had Aohgie(sp?) translate a full blown (believable)fake script.

How did you manage to do that?
I just made a few custom filters in photoshop using old RAWs, and then used those filters to recolor the pages. Then I printed them with a photo printer on regular paper, stuck them between two One Piece pages in an old JUMP issue, and took the picture with my phone.

I actually agreed with Alina when I first saw the picture of Luffy as a girl. It was very convincing, but Luffy's eyes just kept bothering me, like one is bigger than the other..I kept thinking 'Would Oda really let that happen with his artwork?' and it kept bothering me, but still, I was tricked with the rest of you as sceptical as I was xDDD

what gave it away for me was Hanyabal's face in the last panel. Didn't look like Oda's style at ALL.

but then I clicked a few pages ahead.

(even making people act so that we would believe they are angry their april fool's didn't last as long as they expected?)
As i can see it, it would be possible, they wouldn't have to draw anything, just clean one page the best they can (and since there are cleaners among them, they know how to do it well)…

btw one of the things that made me suspect the spoilers were fake was a vice admiral going to pick up ace. no way would the world government be that stupid but i loved the luffy girl pic so much i let that slide. i believe at least an admiral will come to escort ace as the ship they are escorting ace in might end up getting attacked by whitebeard so they need somebody powerful aboard the ship. probably an admiral and several vice admirals will probably be the escorts.
