I repeat, that statement was made during the time Borsalino was still at Sabaody. Heck, it was during the time the Strawhat's just escaped from his grasp, so even if he would have caught the Strawhat's he couldn't have possibly met up with Kidd and Law yet. I agree with your statement about hints, but you have also to put them in the (chrono)logical order. Sharlia's statement was made during the entire commotion. The statement about the captured pirates however was when Borsalino was back again. There is a clear difference between the two.
Like I said. We are arguing opinion here. We know there must have been hundreds and hundreds of pirates at Saboady at the time, 11 of which had bounties over 100Mil and a full crew. The comment in the recent chapter regarding 500 pirates caught in rage was due to his failure to apprehend the culprits of the crime. Sure, one could argue whether or not 'culprits' had to include Kidd and Law, but why would Oda leave that little detail out? I say again that Oda made quite the highlight of Law and Kidd, put them in a dangerous situation he left unfinished unlike all the other Supernova, finished the mini-arc with a comment about how "they" had not been apprehended after the Kizaru incident with the Strawhat's (the conversation takes place at an unknown time), shows them (quite possibly) in the newspaper Nyon has, and then mentions that Kizaru captured 500 pirates (unnamed) in "rage" because he (IMO, obviously) failed his mission. I doubt he would run around in a rage because he caught Kidd and Law but failed to apprehend Luffy when the whole reason he failed to apprehend Luffy was because of Kuma. I would imagine he would just blame that one on Kuma, since he got Law and Kidd and was "betrayed" of sorts by Kuma. Either way, this is all just speculation from both sides. But your opinion that none of this is evidence that they escaped is just opinion. As is mine that they escaped and that these were hints of such an escape. Call it what you will, but I am just piecing what I think is evidence together.
