@brennen.exe:
Chapter was decent. I enjoyed the action, and the artwork was infinitely better than last weeks. For once, Naruto actually seems to be competent. And commanding, wonder of wonders.
Definitely. That last chapter was fun, much kickage of ass is what we like to see, no doubt about it.
Granted, if this keeps up (as I assume it will) Kishi still miffed hard by making Naruto a dumbass for the first 400+ chapters only to magically change him overnight into S-Rank Jounin Mega-Hokage material that has the respect, support, and confidence of the entire village behind him. Whatever though.
It's such a fantastic story-telling trick! Time jumps-, skips, inconsistencies and such that confuse the heck out of us now, but then, after 20 chapters it'll be explained and we'll have to stand back in awe to take in the magnificent story he's woven!
But really, I know several people that somehow have the impression that it's all making sense, that everything's coherent, and the time skips are there so you can read between the lines.
I might be a tad too critical of the Naruto story, but really, wtf am I missing if I think you have to skim through it to allow it to make sense?
His personality's gone from borderline infantile, and unable to grasp even the most complex things without having to spend Bushin clones and a month, to an almost adult with an infinite grasp of tactics, fighting and even further ridiculous amounts of chakra, surpassing every goddamn hokage, sannin and so on in, not to mention the trust of every damn important person in the Naruto-verse, in what, 20 chapters?
What am I missing?
