You know what would really make an awesome cover picture?
A picture of Luffy bawling his eyes out in a heart breaking-fashion while there's pictures of his crew surrounding him and looking at him with peaceful, soft smiling faces.
That would definitely be the most heart-breaking cover page to date.
Will 513 be in this volume? If so, I think a crying Luffy in the middle of the cover with Kizaru, Raleigh, Kuma, Sentomaru around him would be awesome.
If that's a little too spoilerish, maybe Luffy, Nami and Zoro are in the middle and have scared faces or something like that. With the above 4 guys of course. They've gotta hint at 513 on the cover.

True that this is the perfect cliffhanger. However seeing that vol 45 didn't end with Ace's defeat I wouldn't be surprised if same happens here. Better approach it pessimistic and you might get a pleasent surprise. ;)

Not just you. That's why I expect it to end at 512. If I'm wrong I'll be pleasantly surprised, while the other way around would end in a disappointment. ;)
What I find irritating is 513 AND 514 have an Oda'ish first page for a new volume. The more I think about the last chapter of Vol. 52, the more I believe it's not 513 ….

The volume's just over 200 pages. There just wasn't room enough for the fight. The volumes usually have 9-10 chapters to come out to roughly 180 pages, though in one of the SBS's Oda said that sometimes he insists that a volume end with X chapter, for effect I assume. Like volume 20 has ten chapters and ends with the end of the Mr. 4/Ms. Merry Christmas fight, while volume 21 only has nine, but ends with that awesome page spread of Zoro defeating Mr. 1.
