I'd laugh if the Shabondy rookies all got sent to Impel Down, then were subsequently busted out by Luffy, then became indebted to him and backed him up.
Hate to tell you this but if the Supernovae got arrested, it was because of Luffy and they certainly wouldn't feel indebted to him for busting him out. The best Luffy could hope for would be for them to consider their relationship 'even.'

I figure the conversation at the Marine HQ is the most important one right now, so here it is. (as you know, I don't do full chapters)

It seems "Empress Boa Hancock" has finally given in, and is headed this way right now!

The 500 pirates Kizaru captured out of rage... Impel down says they won't be able to do the paperwork for it right now!

(The marine seems to insinuate that Kizaru, pissed off probably at not being able to apprehend the Strawhats, took his anger out on the pirates at Sabaody)

We won't know where they will be attacking either. Report to all to consider the possibility of the battle taking place at Impel Down, at least for the while Ace is located there!!
Marine: Yes sir!!You are so awesome thanks. I was waking up this morning, expecting to find some more pictures and maybe a bit of script, but instead, a whole chapter,and what a chapter it is. A bit disapointed we didn't see more of Ace & Garp

omg it's going to be pandemonium at impel down. that marine mentioned that they can't get all the paperwork done on the 500 pirates that kizaru captured so will they be kept in some detaining area at impel down? that might become a huge part of the story since luffy might end up breaking into that detaining area and freeing all the pirates.
omg just the thought of luffy saving ace and then all the admirals and shichibukai showing up and then everything looking real bad for luffy but then whitebeard shows up and then whitebeard and the 500 captured pirates and maybe some prisoners from impel down start the war with the marines and the shichibukai. that would be epic. hell if jimbei is at impel down then many of the fishmen from fishman island might show up and join in on this war.
it was even mentioned that other pirates from the new world are moving as well so who knows they might even join this war. if they were to join a side then it would be whitebeard's side since they would benefit from the marines getting destroyed and taken out for good. lol imagine the 4 emperors and crews, the 500 captured pirates , many prisoners from impel down and the fishman pirates fighting the marines and the shichibukai. hell if such a thing took place i bet many of the shichibukai would just abandon the world government and switch sides to save their lives.
that would certainly change the one piece world and maybe not for the better. hell i haven't even mentioned dragon. i'm sure he will do something while this is all going on. will he overthrow many kings that are affiliated with the world government? will vivi's kingdom also be affected in such a scenario?

Honestly, I never doubt Oda's ability as a story teller...the series has been going on for 10 years and he has yet to disappoint me...

The people that had the meltdowns havn't posted yet :P not saying they won't like it (If they don't like this I would have to question if they even like One Piece lol), but its something to keep in mind heh.

Dude, that's the part that sent my spine tingling. I'm sure Oda wouldn't of mentioned it if there wasn't something big going on with the pirate movements in the New World. Aohige is awesome as well. He went straight for the good stuff.

it's jimbei who hasn't shown up. i am surprised that mihawk showed up. maybe there is some swordsman on whitebeards crew that shanks wants to fight? i can't see mihawk fighting for the world governments side because he believes in justice. that or maybe he is bored and wants to fight some powerful guys.

I am starting to believe that the final boss for this long saga will be Kizaru instead of Blackbeard. Teach objective isn´t Luffy and the fight between Shirohige and Kurohige is a fact.
I won´t be suprised if for example Marco is able to keep for a long time one of the admirals and fight with him equally like Rayleigh did with Kizaru. He seems to be Whitebeard right hand and if we count that he is more younger than Rayleigh and fully into piracy then I have no doubt that he will be able to do a great fight against one of the admirlas. Akainu perhaps?
Returning to Kizaru vs Luffy we know that:
-Kizaru wants to take Luffy´s head
-Luffy wants tu surpass Kizaru
-Luffy is in a level now where he can use his Haki thanks to his huge ambition.It would be very powerful if the fight between Luffy and Kizaru is done in another place than the main action, in this place the captured 500 hundred pirates will see the entire fight and forgive Luffy from the events that happened in Shabondy.
Another thing that I believe that will happen is that Shichibukai will be dismantled after this fight because a lot of them are against all the affair and the death of Whitebeard will put them into the sea another time as a normal pirates.

Perhaps they were called in to join the battle perhaps. One of the reasons they're known as "Emperors" is because of the huge influence they have. Maybe Infuence on other Pirate crews is the influence. I mean, if the WB Pirates come and tell you to join in their battle against the WG…it'd take a brave man to refuse them.Just a theory based on Garp said.
Should be interesting too see what happens though. I think Sengoku & co are starting to probably realise just how big a mess they're getting into and a potentially huge disaster at that. -

btw, lets say what i predicted comes true and whitebeard and other pirates end up completely annihilating the marines and the shichibukai, would you call that the official end of the first half of one piece? i think that would be a nice half way point of the series because things would get crazy after that. i'm sure many pirate wars would break out in the grand line over territory. maybe this is the new age don flamingo was talking about and he will also end up betraying the world government.

main thing here is that WB could strike at any moment now and that luffy will most likely be directly involved in the battle between WB and Marines+ and of course that the marines are already preparing countermessures for such an event.poor sengoku, he seems to be in a lot of stress there and then his allies start mutinying (lol)… jinbei should consider his mental state ^^

Seems like Kuma was really helping the Straw Hats after all; every one of them we've seen in this chapter has been taken to a place where they can secure a powerful ally or a powerup.
- Luffy is sent to Amazon Lily, where he met Hancock; as a member of the Seven Warlords with a grudge against the World Nobility (and a major crush on our hero), she will be an invaluable ally in rescuing Ace and fighting back against the World Government.
- Nami is sent to a meteorological laboratory where an old man has a rope that just so happens to be able to summon powerful winds. Clima Takt upgrade time?
- Franky ends up on an island technical geniuses and technology centuries ahead of its time. Sounds like another upgrade.
- Sanji is sent to an island full of male crossdressers. We all know that his greatest weakness in battle is a pretty face; the trauma he accumulates here will help give him the revulsion towards anything vaguely feminine he needs to become a more effective fighter.
So… where do we suppose Kuma sent the other five?

since usopp is meant to be weak then he will not likely get an upgrade in strength. i can see him upgrading his weapon at the island he landed on and that's it.

BF-senchou (is this right? ^^'): how do you come to find those raw pics? Any nakama from Japan that posts it? And when exactly does Jump come out in Japan (so I can have an idea of how much time it takes for the magazine to come out and the work that is needed until the scanlation gets to us)?

Scanlator no nakamatachi: is there a simpler way to work the raw images on Photoshop, I mean, to enhance contrast and clean the black areas? I was trying to do it, but could only think about doing it manually, and my test took just too long…and since I was thinking about joining the crew (and since my powers revolve around, mostly, in imagery... XD), I'd like some tips to do it more hastily.
And my cents on some things in the chapter:

Maybe the "Portgas" (which comes from a real pirate that was nicknamed "Portuguese") is just a battle name, or title, that he adopted after becoming a pirate/entering WB's crew.

Usopp is the hardest to try and get it right...he may indeed have gone to Elbaf, or somewhere where he can get 8000 followers...although I really doubt he could get any stronger (as Oda stated he'd be the weakest forever). He may have gone somewhere where he could get un upgrade for being a good sidekick-like, though.

Apparently there was a link on 2Ch with it, and Franky was one of the few to download it quickly, and then the link was removed, so Franky somehow managed to get the spoiler when not even people on 2Ch got it in time, and it flooded our spoiler thread with 2,000+ people mostly from Japan xD

The Jinbei silhouette looks like a mix between Kuma and Tom.
Franky's island looks interesting. Did anyone notice the eskimo man with antlers? Reminds me of those Penguin-deer-eskimo things from The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

Kuma is still a shishibukai after what he had done on Shabaody? Moria has recovered from his wounds? Well that's not surprising since he had hogback on his side. Maybe that he will make some powerfull zombies in this war. Imagine the shadow of WB in a Monster like Odz :D
